  1. D came up big when it counted...It was not pretty...But it all worked out in the end...
  2. It wasn't pretty...
  3. Wow! How about that?
  4. Finally something to cheer about!!!
  5. J-ville showing complete disregard for our ability to block anyone... You know...Marrone is an ex O-Lineman, and ex O-Line coach...If there was one area I did not expect the Bills to implode in it was the O-Line play...I think this is telling...
  6. Figures...Jacksonville able to create something to get an elusive player a little space...Buffalo tries to do the same thing earlier and they can't execute at all...It's the little things...This team is not responding to the coaching they are getting on offense whatsoever...This Bills offense is looking brutal...
  7. I hear what you're saying...And I don't completely disagree...But the Pats still have plenty of talent, especially on the O-Line and some in the secondary...Their depth along the D-line has played impressively considering...Chandler Jones is very, very good...They have far less talent on Defense after the injuries no question...But enough talent to win around Brady who makes everything easier...The Belichick "system" is one of a kind in the NFL...But the biggest part of that system is the fact that he basically has an OC, and the ultimate team leader, for a QB...And that QB has stayed healthy most of his career...
  8. Great post...Absolutely correct...
  9. The original statement about Whitner had absolutely nothing to do with Marrone, and everything to do with the organization as a whole over the years...This move with Rogers follows a familiar pattern of doing things opposite of what seems to be pretty obvious and safe...Keeping Rogers for a year or two to see if he was capable of maturing on the field would have hurt absolutely nothing, and had a potential big payoff...The Bills organization dating back years now have made personnel decisions that completely boggle the mind...The worry here is that were headed in that direction once again with another regime...I for one am hoping Marrone turns out to be fantastic...But I'm not going to assume anything anymore...I've been fooled way too many times...I'm forever the pessimist with this organization until they prove to me they can be trusted...Marrone is just part of that overall equation...But a big part nonetheless... I'm definitely against cutting Stevie...I'm a huge Stevie fan...Though he drives me nuts every now and again like everyone else around here I imagine...I think had we kept Rogers I may feel a bit different about it...But the way I see it now we have no one to replace Stevie, so I'm definitely not in favor of letting him go...At least for 2014...
  10. Well...Time will tell if the Rogers decision was a good one or not...But it's certainly not looking great at this moment...And IMHO neither is Marrone...We'll see in time...But I'm starting to get a negative vibe about Marrone...I have not been crazy about a lot of his interview answers on WGR...He seems a little nuts at times...But not crazy like a fox nuts...Just off-beat and weird nuts...I'm hoping for the best though...But I am admittedly worried that we have another dud on our hands...
  11. It's a totally fair opinion...No question you could be 100% right...It's just a gut feeling I have about McCarron...To be honest I think he would further benefit from being passed over the way Brady did...I think that, like Brady it would REALLY piss him off and give him even more incentive...But we'll see I guess...It can go either way, or somewhere in the middle...I'm not banging the table for the kid...But I definitely would not be disappointed if he landed in Buffalo...That's for sure...
  12. I think S-J will be gone by the 2nd...But I would LOVE that Draft no question...Just LOVE it!!!
  13. I know we've beat this horse to death...But it still boggles my mind that this organization continues to go against the grain on decisions that seem to be no-brainers...I go all the way back to the Whitner pick with this feeling of paranoia that they will do something dumb instead of what seems to be the obvious, and relatively safe, thing to do...This organization has been great at out-thinking itself for what seems like forever now...And the Rogers deal is just the latest chapter IMHO...
  14. Well...I think you have a point when you're talking about the Draft as we know it now because the Bills have one pick in each round currently...But a trade down like last year that nets a second round pick and I would be more than willing to spend one of those 2nd's or the 3rd on a QB like McCarron... And I'm not giving up on EJ whatsoever...I'm also not giving up on trying to find a Franchise QB...And EJ is not yet a Franchise QB...
  15. No matter how it's explained...Hairston and Carder for Lynch is about as bad as it gets as far as true value goes...What made the whole CJ/Lynch situation worse was the fact the Bills had Freddie inhouse already as insurance in case Lynch did get in trouble again...It was terrible strategy...I loved CJ in College...I love him still...But I was against it on Draft day, and I'm still against it now...It was terrible team building strategy...
  16. Over exaggeration and over-generalization at it's finest... Good to know this kind of thinking is still alive and well on this board...
  17. Exactly... Good article that covers all the angles...Good and bad concerning Rogers... http://espn.go.com/b...m-past-mistakes One quote that was a bit of a surprise...His receivers coach at Tennessee Charlie Baggett..."He’s the smartest football player I’ve ever coached besides Cris Carter,” Baggett said. “Cris Carter was the smartest as far as studying and knowing game and understanding the game. If Da’Rick learns to study the game, he’ll be the smartest football player on the Colts.”
  18. Gotta say thanks... Just read the thread title and got a great laugh!!! I needed that...
  19. Depends on your perspective as far as recent history goes and whatnot... EJ was my favorite QB from last years Draft...I was thrilled the Bills took him...I still like him...I hope he turns into a great NFL QB... But I've always like McCarron...I just like his make-up...He reminds me of Brady in College and as a Michigan fan I can say I watched almost every down of Football Brady played at Michigan...I can't say exactly why he reminds me of Brady...But he does...I don't think McCarron is going to be caught off-guard by anything in the NFL...I think he's well aware that it's going to be a hell of a lot tougher...But I think he's got the kind of attitude to persevere and even excel in the right situation... We'll see though...We'll never know for sure until we know...
  20. I think he's going to prove to be a little more athletic than folks think right now...I know he does not have the best arm, but it's not bad either...He's going to be a system QB no question...But it will be a pro passing system and that's a plus for him IMHO...He's a leader...I like his make-up a lot...
  21. I think we've learned as Bills fans that, while the league has moved towards passing every year, if you can't stop the run you're going to lose...A lot...The Broncos run D was pitiful...As a Bills fan I can say...been there...done that...
  22. No doubt I would...I'm a big McCarron fan...But I think by the time the process is all said and done he'll go higher than currently expected...That kid is a gamer...He's got some Brady in him...
  23. If the Bills had anything in-house I thought could possibly replace what Stevie brings I might consider the possibility of cutting him...But obviously that does not seem to be the case...So I'm pretty certain he's here for at least 2014...But we'll see...
