  1. Exactly...And Carrington was going to be a project regardless...He was a 3rd round pick out of Arkansas St...How NFL ready could he really be? Carrington worked hard, got better, earned a starting job only to get hurt and miss the bulk of his contract year... I felt Carrington had really improved in 2012...It may not have shown up a ton on the stat sheet...but it seemed obvious to me he was playing with more confidence... If he's healthy, he'll help...He'll only be 28 this season and he does not have a ton of wear and tear on him... I'm loving the depth on this Defense...
  2. Oh wow! LOVE it... Our D-Line Depth is crazy good now...I was always a Carrington fan...probably more than most...Hope he stays healthy...
  3. A good number of the "experts" suffer in the same area... In all seriousness there are plenty of posters on this wall...yourself included Yolo...that have a FAR greater understanding of what is best for the Buffalo Bills Roster at this point in time...There's no way most of these experts can keep up with every team...There's simply not enough hours in the day...So they wing it...
  4. This is going to be a popular pick...and for good reason...He's got a better than decent chance to stick...
  5. If we Draft a C that's an entire O-Line Drafted in only 2 years... Food for thought...
  6. Let's hope the 3rd Rd Louisville luck continues...
  7. That's good because I was a REAL big fan of the Cockrell pick last year...I really like that kid and I'm excited to see him this year in Rex's D...That's partially why I was surprised by the Darby pick...No one remembers Cockrell...The depth at CB is looking awfully good right now...
  8. I'm guessing he plays some CB and Safety depending on the package... I do think the Darby pick is more about 2016 than 2015...
  9. I'm not saying their right...I am saying I seriously doubt the Bills pick him at #50 this year if they only view him as a future Nickle CB...
  10. I'm guessing they've seen more than that... Seriously though...Whaley Drafted them only one year ago and used a 2nd and a 5th...I just don't think that fact can be overlooked...And yes, I think Rex and Roman had a say in it...
  11. I think it has more to do with locking up the other side for the next 4 years...I think they see Darby as the starter opposite Gilmore from 2016 on...
  12. Very true...Forgot about Henderson...
  13. Whaley Drafted 2 O-Linemen last year...I don't think that can be overlooked...They were his picks as the GM...And they both looked REAL bad under Marrone...The only thing I can surmise from this is that Rex and Roman have determined Kouandjio and Richardson are going to be WAY better than Bills fans think they will be...
  14. Agreed...Not a big fan of this pick at the moment...It's a bit confusing...The Bills have some serious depth at CB already...I really liked the Russ Cockrell pick last year...I think he's got good upside...But due to that CB depth Cockrell could not sniff the field last year...I get that you need depth at DB...But man...It seemed to me like there was a lot of talent still available at areas of need... Now that being said...Darby can really fly...And his upside would certainly seem to be better than Cockrell's...It gives the Bills crazy flexibility and depth in the secondary...I mean...This secondary could be the best we've seen around here in a long, long time...
  15. Maybe...Regardless...The Bills are pretty stacked back there...
  16. Have to say...Regardless of the obvious off-the-field stuff...Never in a million years did I think Gregory would get this close to #50... If someone told me during the Combine that Gregory and La'el Collins would be available in the late 40's I would have laughed...hard...
  17. It's nuts this year...Am I crazy or are commercials taking this thing over? They're ruining my favorite thing... I've watched every draft from bell to bell since I can remember...and yes there have always been commercials...But for the life of me I can't remember the commercials being this out of hand...it's ridiculous... My Nephew is a 16 year old HS Football player who is becoming a big time Draft fan...He could not wait to watch the 1st Round last night with me...He fell asleep before they got into the 20's... Today he told me it was boring..."Too many commercials..."
  18. I'm pretty certain most of the other 17 teams drafting in front of the Bills tonight agree...
  19. Right...I think the chances of him getting to #50 are almost none...
  20. I think the chances of Gregory being around at #50 are slim and none...And slim done left town...
  21. Agreed... The one thing that would seem to be fairly easy to determine is his alibi...But then you have the possibility he was involved through others... This is a tremendously tough call due to his talent level, and of course the severity of the crime...We're talking about a kid that was a potential top 15 pick at a position almost every team needs, and a position the Bills would LOVE to fill...It's some serious temptation...And I think you're right Pete...If he continues to slide the Bills are going to be investigating this as much as possible right up until they pick at #50...
  22. If the Bills are relatively sure "all cleans up" concerning Collins ordeal he will be the pick at #50...You can all but write it in ink...Problem is there is absolutely zero chance that the Bills have more information than all of the 17 teams picking before them tomorrow...So either Collins goes before the Bills pick, or if in fact he gets to #50 chances are he'll be around long, long after that... I just see no chance Collins gets Drafted by Buffalo at #50...Then again I'm rarely right...
