  1. How many games has TT won when the team gave up 29 points? Let me do the search for you - Zero. In fact, the Bills have never won a game with TT at QB in which they needed to score more than 21 points. These are the opposing teams total points in the games TT has QB'd the Bills to wins: 14, 14, 13, 17, 17, 21, 6, 17, 18, 0, 19 That comes out to an average of 14.18 points per game the Bills have allowed in the 11 games they've won with TT at QB. For comparison the league avg. in scoring is 22.6 this year and was 22.8 last year. When the D has an off day, the team loses. When TT has an off day, the team can still win if the D is playing well. Hell, when the D allows the league average in scoring the Bills don't win. On good teams one side the ball needs to be able to pick it up when the other side has an off day. On the Bills only the D picks up the O. And I realize TT helps keep those numbers down with the lack of turnovers. But the O also kills the D with all the three and outs and a really bad 3rd down conversion rate. The Bills need more production out of the QB position.
  2. Yeah, that's pretty spot on. Somehow the results have tended to be better than you'd expect though.
  3. That's still on the QB to know who he's throwing to and put it where they can catch it. The problem he had on that throw was he rushed it because he felt fantom pressure when all he had to do was step up into the pocket and launch it. This is actually one of the disturbing trends he has displayed this year. He gets spooked out of the pocket (or rushes the throw) when all he has to do is step up into the pocket. Hoping he develops this skill as the season progresses.
  4. Alright, "bad" isn't the right word, but he didn't look good and certainly not like somebody I'd throw a bunch of money at in the next 5 years. What he doesn't look like it somebody who can help get the team some wins when the running game and/or D is having an off day. I'm holding TT to a higher standard this year than last. He has a new contract he has to earn and he's no longer a first year starter.
  5. Shady only had 18 carries. It wasn't like he was a 30 carry workhorse back that prevented there from being enough plays for the O to throw the ball. I don't know why it's so hard for you to admit that TT looked bad yesterday and hasn't looked very good this season. I want him to be the answer too, but closing your eyes and clicking your heals together three times doesn't make it so.
  6. I watched some of the Pats game today and it struck me that at age 38 Brady's arm is better than its ever been. How can a guy be the best he has ever been, physically, at age 38? It would be like a RB running his fastest 40 ever at 38. Seems almost impossible.
  7. Out of curiosity, to all the people defending TT in this thread, if you are the Bills and we get this same type of production all year do you Take the out in the contract or move forward paying him $27M next season? To me the question isn't whether he's good enough so far, it's how much you are willing to invest in him moving forward. Like Bado said upstream, his accuracy has regressed this year and it's a bit shocking. I hope to hell he improves during the season making the decision easy because right now it's a really tough decision.
  8. They targeted Darby a ton today and I don't remember him making a play on the ball once. Gilmore was bad as well but this love for Darby and hate for Gilmore kills me.
  9. Going into the season LB was supposed to be the team's biggest weakness. At this point no group has played better...
  10. Darby got picked on the entire game. He made a nice tackle on the fake punt but other than that he was a weakness, not a strength today.
  11. The one thing he does very well is protect the ball. Don't turn it over and you give yourself a chance to win even if you don't play that well otherwise.
  12. I wouldn't go that far. They made stops when they needed to and had a few big plays but it was a little too bend but don't break for my taste. The 32nd ranked O shouldn't control the clock and move up and down the field quite so easily. If this were the Steelers they were playing I'd say it was fantastic but since it was the Rams Ill say it was good enough for today.
  13. Darby getting picked on all game and all anybody can mention is Gilmore. He hasn't been good either but it's amazing how slanted many fans perspectives are.
  14. Totally going to be Luck's fault when the D allows the winning TD with under 2 min remaining.
  15. Athletes should dress like they're going to the office when they fly. Duh.
  16. Why would somebody hoe a road?
  17. With only one strike remaining nobody is picking up that contact via trade. Let the guy play and if he messes up again and gets suspended for a year you let him go.
  18. You're treating the board like it's a single entity. Like it just can't make up it's mind when it's different people spouting different beliefs.
  19. I'd say it's almost a given. Not many players miss their rookie training camps and have a productive rookie year. It happens, just not that often.
  20. Yeah, but when you're the inferior team you usually don't want to fire up the superior team. You hope they sleep walk through the game and you can sneak out with a win.
  21. Garbage time? It pulled them within 3 with 3 minutes left. Not saying it wasn't a gift (how anybody gets that open down two scores with 3 minutes left I have no idea 39. 34. 30. Look at those numbers again and tell me how a team can win consistently no matter who is playing QB? Cowher just said it himself. Luck is a good player but he has no margin for error because not many others are doing their job. Carry on though. This isn't an excuse thread, it's a crusade thread.
  22. 30 points against? In their three losses they've allowed 39, 34 and 30. Yep, it's all the QB!
  23. Win and it doesn't matter. This is all just crap that gets talked about as a negative when things don't go well during the game. Win and nobody gives a sh*t.
  24. If the guy got hit by a car every Fall for 16 years I'm guessing he'd assume he'd be hit by a car in year 17 too.
