Bills vs. 49ers Second Half Thread
MDH replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not running much this quarter. If McCoy isn't 100% put in Gillislee and continue to runt he ball. The passing game just sucks. -
Usually he doesn't make plays because of his hands. At least he mixed it up this time and let his feet do the failing.
-
Took almost 6 minutes off the clock and scored. Get the ball to start 2nd half. Not bad.
-
Nice footwork Goodwin.
-
Always the possibility it's not as bad as it looks. If it is that's pretty much the season. Can't lose both Shady and Watkins and expect the offense to be able to do much of anything.
-
No need to take that hit.
-
Dick Stockton gets the basic info of every play wrong 85% of the time.
-
Take the rest of the half and score then get the ball to start 2nd half. Wear the Niners D out.
-
Time to bring back the red helmets.
MDH replied to loyal2dagame's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Don't like the red helmets but I do agree I prefer the standing buffalo over the charging one. Don't like the blue on blue either. I prefer the contrast of the pants with the jersey. Best uni in the NFL is Bills blue jersey with white pants Imo. -
NFL.com: Kapernick perfect for Chip Kelly offense

It would be the Billsy thing to do. I don't see it at home though. I can see it on the road next week... Apparently he's had trouble putting back on the weight he lost when he was hurt. He's still not put it all back on and looks thin. His durability might be a question. -
Report: Sammy could return this season!

It sounds like you masturbate to the poster of Leopold and Loeb that hangs above your bed. -

I'm not defending you. -

And at 23 Sammy is more successful than you were. What's that have to do with anything? You are being ridiculous and come off as a much worse person than Sammy ever has. If you didn't want to create this perception of yourself, you shouldn't have... -
The Bengals and Raiders game are the key to playoffs.
MDH replied to bisonbrigade's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They are all "key." Win 11 and they are in, no matter who they beat. The season never goes as people expect. They'll lose to teams you never expect them to and beat teams you thought they had no chance at winning. If the first five weeks showed us anything, its this. -
3-2 but Tyrod has had 4 bad games this season
MDH replied to Yeezus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Absolutely. I don't think anybody is advocating benching TT. He needs to be given the entire season to see where he's at. -
Hoodie wins without a QB. What were they, 10-6 the year Brady went down in game 1? 3-1 this year without Brady.

Neither is Dallas'. Yet their rookie, minus Dez the past few games, has looked like a legit prospect. Dallas has the highest percentage of run plays in the league yet still looks respectable in the passing game. -
If he's allowed to bring this into the cage, he might stand a chance.

How many in the losses? The bottom line is that TT has not helped the offense do enough to win if the D doesn't play at a high level. Not...one...time. If EJ played as poorly as TT has this season people would be running him out of town. Not sure why TT gets a free pass with the big money looming after this season. I gave him a lot of leeway last year, this year he has to step up, with or without Watkins. No doubt. I don't think anybody says he's a horrible QB overall. But is he the guy that can take the Bills to the next level if this is all he's capable of? Is he worth the money that kicks in next year? Because once that money kicks in it's less money to pay other positions - like the defense. So if he's going to take money away from other spots (and thus weaken the team overall) he had better pick up his game to compensate for it. -

How many games has TT won when the team gave up 29 points? Let me do the search for you - Zero. In fact, the Bills have never won a game with TT at QB in which they needed to score more than 21 points. These are the opposing teams total points in the games TT has QB'd the Bills to wins: 14, 14, 13, 17, 17, 21, 6, 17, 18, 0, 19 That comes out to an average of 14.18 points per game the Bills have allowed in the 11 games they've won with TT at QB. For comparison the league avg. in scoring is 22.6 this year and was 22.8 last year. When the D has an off day, the team loses. When TT has an off day, the team can still win if the D is playing well. Hell, when the D allows the league average in scoring the Bills don't win. On good teams one side the ball needs to be able to pick it up when the other side has an off day. On the Bills only the D picks up the O. And I realize TT helps keep those numbers down with the lack of turnovers. But the O also kills the D with all the three and outs and a really bad 3rd down conversion rate. The Bills need more production out of the QB position. -

Yeah, that's pretty spot on. Somehow the results have tended to be better than you'd expect though. -

That's still on the QB to know who he's throwing to and put it where they can catch it. The problem he had on that throw was he rushed it because he felt fantom pressure when all he had to do was step up into the pocket and launch it. This is actually one of the disturbing trends he has displayed this year. He gets spooked out of the pocket (or rushes the throw) when all he has to do is step up into the pocket. Hoping he develops this skill as the season progresses. -

Alright, "bad" isn't the right word, but he didn't look good and certainly not like somebody I'd throw a bunch of money at in the next 5 years. What he doesn't look like it somebody who can help get the team some wins when the running game and/or D is having an off day. I'm holding TT to a higher standard this year than last. He has a new contract he has to earn and he's no longer a first year starter. -

Shady only had 18 carries. It wasn't like he was a 30 carry workhorse back that prevented there from being enough plays for the O to throw the ball. I don't know why it's so hard for you to admit that TT looked bad yesterday and hasn't looked very good this season. I want him to be the answer too, but closing your eyes and clicking your heals together three times doesn't make it so. -
I watched some of the Pats game today and it struck me that at age 38 Brady's arm is better than its ever been. How can a guy be the best he has ever been, physically, at age 38? It would be like a RB running his fastest 40 ever at 38. Seems almost impossible.
