And there it is!
-
Just dropped an int.
-
He scored on him once. The other time Revis sat out the play with an injury. Disappointing the Bears went for the TD on 4th and goal at the 5 earlier in the quarter. Had they kicked the FG the two point conversion wouldn't have been needed at the end of the game.

Use Charles Clay more - why aren't they getting him the ball
MDH replied to San-O's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
These things aren't untrue. They are doing good jobs with what they are being asked to do. The basic issue is the Bills have a QB who can't do a whole lot right now. They're hiding him and hoping he makes some big plays and limits mistakes. What they are doing isn't sustainable over the long haul, TT will have to improve and be able to operate the entire offense. He has the potential to do this but we won't know for awhile. As I said upstream, until the Bills have a QB who they trust to run a modern day NFL offense nobody is going tp reach their full potential on offense other than the RBs. -
Yeah, that was my unspoken point. So root for the Texans. I think it will be too. I also think it won't be. A 9-7 team will get in and one (or more) won't. It will all come down to tie-breakers.

If the Colts continue to choke Hou could move into the division lead and the Bills would be competing with Indy for the WC spot.

I somehow have two warning points. The fact that you have none makes me think there is a Patriots* like conspiracy going on here with the refs/moderators. Edit: Of course, after 15 or so years on this website I have no idea wtf a warning point actually means or what potential effects it can have. -
Use Charles Clay more - why aren't they getting him the ball
MDH replied to San-O's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'd say there are two reasons. One, even though they don't throw the ball a lot those guys make it easier for the Bills to do everything. Clay is a nightmare matchup problem for defenses. He's fast and also a willing blocker. Teams have a tough time deciding what type of D to play if the Bills go with 22 personnel (two TE/two RB set.) They'll most likely go base and with McFaden and Clay they're going to get LBs matched up on them. They can create mismatches like this if a lot of packages. Clay's ability alone allows the Bills to dictate to the defense. That's not normally the case for a team that wants to run the ball so much. But for Roman's offense it's imperative. Watkins, with his talent alone, opens up things for everybody else in addition to being a big play threat on every down. He's a young QB's best friend. The 2nd reason is that you don't sign/draft guys for one year. These guys are going to be here awhile and while the Bills don't have the ability to utilize all their guys to the best of their ability right now it doesn't mean they won't be able to do so a year or two down the line. Get a QB who you don't have to hide and can utilize all those guys and the Bills will be a formidable matchup for anybody. -
Wild Card Race and Intel on Teams in the Hunt

Yeah, in this one instance I'll root for the AFC team vs. the NFC team. If Pittsburgh somehow passes Cinci in the division that 7-1 conference record for the Bengals would kill the Bills in tie breakers. -
Crystal Ball: Top Prospects for 2016 NFL Draft

Can't get to the SB without first getting to the playoffs. Get to the playoffs and catch fire and anything is possible. The Giants weren't the best team in the league the years they won and neither were the Ravens. -

The problem with looking at the stats of guys like Watkins, Clay and Woods is that the Bills want to throw the ball less than 20 times a game. Even with a 70% completion percentage that roughly 14 completions to split between those guys. Nobody is going to have big stats until we have a QB who can be relied on to put the ball up more. Hopefully TT develops into that guy. -
Deadspin: Assault Pictures of Greg Hardy's Ex-Girlfriend

I believe in 2nd chances too. If the person shows contrition and a willingness to correct the mistakes they made and improve themselves. I see none of that in Hardy. -
Smart vs Dumb game plan against the Pats
MDH replied to 1billsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I hope so. The Bills seem too willing to allow teams to take Watkins away and go elsewhere. The guy is a playmaker and they need to do everything they can do give him touches. -

OL did a hell of a job vs. the Jets front who stacked the box determined to take the run away. That Jets front 7 is a better than the Pats. I expect Belichick to stack the box and double Watkins and play everybody else one on one. Bills need to still find a way to run the ball and hit chunk yardage plays to Clay over the middle and Woods outside. -

The Bills strength is running the ball and protecting a young, inexperienced QB. Getting away from the run and putting the game - on the road- in the hands of Taylor vs. the best team in the league is not the right way to go. Keep Brady off the field with the strength of the team is the way to go. Take shots down field with the deep passing game set up by play action. The thing I don't want to see them doing it throwing the ball 40 times with a short passing game. -
I always root for AFC teams to lose to NFC teams because you just never know how things will play out for the wild card spot. Having the tie breaker over the Phins doesn't help the Bills if the Phins go on a roll late in the season and end up with a better record than the Bills.

Does anyone else automatically skip BN Sully articles?
MDH replied to Bocephuz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I read it all. Reading an opinion that differs from mine doesn't piss me off. Not sure why people avoid things they don't like. Even people I tend to disagree with can have a point of view I might not have considered. And fwiw, there was nothing wrong with his article today other than his pov was a pretty obvious one. -
Make sure our offense is on the field at the end of the game going for the game winning score and not theirs.

Unless something changes drastically it sounds like he's gone when his contract is up.

I know your thinking it just like me what IF WE WIN
MDH replied to John from Riverside's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He sat the 2nd half. The Bills did have the lead heading into the half and the Bills were missing some key personel as well. I have no clue if they would have won if Brady didnt get sat but its not a given that they would have lost. At the end of the day a win is a win. -
I'm kinda thinking the same except they'll beat the Pats then turn right around and lose to the Chiefs which of course is the more important of the two games.

Refs admit wrong call at end of Jax/Ravens
MDH replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
While that seems on the surface like a fair way of doing it, I don' think it necessarily is. Why do mistakes on the final play of the game matter more than mistakes earlier? What if a ref's mistake cost the Jags points earlier? Then perhaps they wouldn't have needed to come from behind. Yet the league is going to change one play and not another? They need to limit ref's mistakes but going back in and changing the outcome of games isn't a good idea, even on the last play. -

Week 11: MNF Patriots' Game Preparation - Inactives Posted
MDH replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's not must win. It's actually the least important of the next three games. Win the two games after this one and a loss to the Pats isn't that big of a deal. Beat the Pats and they might be able to afford a hiccup against Houston. That KC game has almost become must win. If the Bills can come out of this three game stretch 7-5, that would give them a conference record of 7-4 and a firm hold of a WC spot, particularly if one of those wins is vs. KC.
