  1. Maybe Whaley will get a promotion with more responsibilities with his extension after all, even with the current 6-7 record. Anything is possible, I guess. Brandon would have to do some heavy spinning though.
  2. Whoever it is, $$$$$$$$$ talks. And while Rex is still coaching this team in 2016, I think 2017 is wide open if he still doesn't get results.
  3. Can we all agree that EJ is gone this off-season?
  4. I like him a lot, but there's still 3 more games to go.
  5. Yes indeed.Rex isn't going anywhere after 1 year, and Pegs needs someone with football knowledge & power to steer him in the right direction. Whaley is most certainly not the man to do it, he'll be lucky to get an extension to keep his current job... a major promotion for him is very highly unlikely.Don't know who the czar will be, but I'm sure Pegs has been working on it for quite a while, hopefully with NO help from Brandon.
  6. Not even close to 2003 or even the end of 2004. you Drew.
  7. I take my hat off to Rex for TT. Here in Baltimore, no one saw him turning out this good, no one really cared when he left. Before Flacco went on his SB run, I always talked smack to Ravens fans, saying they should be starting TT every time Flacco would bumble. Now, I'm telling them they should've tried to keep TT instead of having to play Matt Scrub, good times.
  8. Bills 41 Eagles 24
  9. Pegs could've given Whaley an extension after last year. Didn't happen. Pegs could've made the new HC report to Whaley. Didn't happen. Pegs could've looked to hire a czar, namely Polian, who would have the HC and Whaley reporting to. Well, that did happen. Now, we'll see if Whaley has done enough over the past year to warrant an extension, a raise, or even a promotion. At least 4 more weeks to go. Me, I really don't care either way, but DW will get big points with me the day he cuts EJ.
  10. Good arguments for keeping him out. Dude was a monster though those 2 SB years.
  11. 4 more games to go, + playoffs if we're lucky.
  12. I hear ya, but you can't write the history of the game without him. I think/hope he doesn't have to wait.
  13. Favre and T.O. are my locks, then Pace, Warner, Ty Law. I don't know about everyone else, very good but not great to me other than T. Davis, who always suffers from length of career.
  14. I see 3 things: 1. Hasn't happened yet, but making the playoffs. 2. Rex and Whaley actually working as a cohesive unit, instead of what has been reported. 3. Hasn't happened yet, but TT proving he is the future at QB (since Whaley can't be trusted to choose the next chosen one after the EJ debacle of these past 2 years)
  15. Vintage KTD I don't think the Fred Incident carries all that much weight as others do. To me, it's more about having no contract & the reported conflicts between him and 2 coaching staffs.
  16. Pegs (and Rex) may not want Whaley to stay.
  17. Good question. I think the Polian-type czar makes more sense, with Rex and Whaley/Whaley's replacement both reporting to him.
  18. I don't think Rex. I'd say either the football czar that Pegs wanted last off-season with Polian, or a more traditional GM with a lot more clout than Whaley currently has.
  19. Whaley's not getting fired, but he may not get extended when his contract is up after this year. I think it's still TBD with 4 games left, but anyone who thinks right now that it's not possible is extremely naive.
  20. I hope Patricia goes somewhere, I'm tired of seeing that slob 2x a year.
  21. I'm going to add some speculation to this, since it is my thread. I say that: 1. When Rex was hired, one of the points that Whaley brought up was that there needed to be an open QB competition. He couldn't get away with insisting that EJ be made the starter going in, but he did insist that he needed a chance to win the job. 2. Rex agreed to this, knowing fully well the day that TT was signed that TT was going to be the starter. 3. The open competition turned out to be a charade, solely there to make DW happy. As long as TT looked halfway-decent, he was going to be the starter, regardless of what the other 2 did. And since EJ looked good in the pre-season games, DW was none-too-pleased with the result. And I say that the Bills would've been much better off if Rex named TT the starter a whole lot sooner.
  22. It may have... a lot of it is hindsight now, considering how bad the other 2 QBs have looked in the regular season in comparison... plus I think/hope TT is on the verge of turning the corner, he may have turned it sooner.
  23. At the very least though, I would've named him starter before the 1st pre-season game and played him all 1st-halfs + 3rd Q of game 3 & given him all the 1st-team reps from that point.
