After finding out about Travis Henry since then it was a good move. Hindsight is 20/20. -

I have to see who to replace him with first, if the Bills get a 4th rounder for Lynch at all. -
After three rounds, here are some questions/thoughts
Steely Dan replied to jahnyc's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My comments in bold. Exactly, just because the pundits are high on a guy doesn't mean the Bills are. Why draft a guy you know won't be very good just to fill a need? Don't let the door hitcha where the good lord splitcha!! He will and he'll crow about how he's been a fan for 30 years through good and bad. -

Agreed, Campbell is a much better athlete than Football player. He has bust written all over him. IMO -

Saints | Have talked with others about Jammal Brown Fri, 23 Apr 2010 23:47:43 -0400 Continuing a previous story line, New Orleans Saints general manager Mickey Loomis said the team has had brief talks with other teams about possibly trading OT Jammal Brown, reports Les East, of The Advocate. He would not get into specifics. He said the team did not draft OT Charles Brown in the second round with the intention of trading Jammal Brown. Read more: http://www.kffl.com/player/11323/nfl#ixzz0m1MIvv9U The Redskins took TW in the first round and I'll assume they aren't in the market anymore which helps the Bills. JMO -

Also from Rotoworld; Jammal Brown-T- Saints Apr. 24 - 8:01 am et Saints GM Mickey Loomis was noncommittal when asked about his starting left tackle for the 2010 season Friday night. "We're going to let it sort itself out," Loomis said. Particularly after Friday's steal of Charles Brown at No. 64, Jammal Brown is squarely on the trade block. He just can't be shipped off until he signs his restricted free agent tender. Brown's trade market will heat up immediately after the draft. Source: New Orleans Times-Picayune Does N.O. need a safety? ETA: Greggo drafted Chris Kelsay, I wonder if they'd have any interest there? -

It looks like the Saints are overloaded at the T position; http://www.rotoworld.com/content/playernews.aspx?sport=NFL Charles Brown-T- Saints Apr. 24 - 7:57 am et Saints GM Mickey Loomis explained that the team drafted OT Charles Brown at the back of round two not as an indictment of Jammal Brown or Jermon Bushrod, but because Brown offered too much value to pass. This is the way to do it. "He was...the best available player for us on our board by far," said Loomis. "When it came to the pick, it was clearly the best available player." Brown's fall reminds us of William Beatty's last year. A projected first-round pick by virtually everyone, he'll probably end up being a steal as an athlete with ideal length to play left tackle. Source: Baton Rouge Advocate I believe they had Jammal Brown on the trading block earlier this year or at least a rumor to that effect. Git'er done Buddy!! -
You're just mad!!

Flozell Adams is still out there and I have a hunch that they are going to move Levitre to LT. -
Ummm, did you guys see this part of the article; But Faneca is starting to show his age. Football Outsiders managing editor Bill Barnwell recently produced a study on missed pass-blocking assignments. Faneca was the league's most frequently beaten left guard. He gave up seven sacks and three quarterback hurries. No thanks.

Link Lindsey Witten DE, Connecticut War Room analysis Strengths: Has great length and wingspan with definite growth potential to fill out for the position at the next level. Weaknesses: Has limited career experience and instincts, as well as a slow motor for the position. Is a slow-twitch athlete with marginal initial quickness out of his stance. Shows marginal lateral quickness and range in pursuit. Plays with marginal strength and leverage at the point of attack. Struggles to shed from blockers. Plays tentatively. Lacks the athletic ability, speed and range to project to outside linebacker for a 3-4 defense. Did not have a single sack in three games we evaluated. Bottom line: Witten is a bit of tease because of his numbers and growth potential. He is not instinctive, tough or physical enough to make it at the NFL level, but someone will likely take a flyer on him late in the seventh round.

Rotoworld News on Marshawn Lynch

McGahee and Peters were very good trades for Buffalo IMO. I think it would be a zero round pick, they'll just cut him. -

I'm steamed that Andre Roberts isn't around anymore. Some people have him pegged as a real sleeper. Cooper has been called a West Coast Offense receiver and I don't think he'd fit in with the Bills, JMO. Gilyard wouldn't be a bad choice but from what I've read his build makes me skeptical he'll be durable in the NFL. Jacoby Ford is still on the board and despite being 5'9" 181 he's said to be better built. He's one of the fastest receivers in the draft and could help stretch the field with LE. Dezmon Briscoe 6'2" 207 (more on Briscoe) has had outstanding production but is very immature according to what I've read. He'll be 21 in August and if can be worked with would be a huge sleeper he's a real boom or bust pick. Chris McGaha (6'1" 201) is still on the board too. These are guys who are left that I like; QB: Dan LeFevour 6'3" 238, Darryl Clark 6'2" 235, Jarrett Brown 6'3" 224, Levi Brown 6'4" 229 OT's: Chris Campbell 6'5" 314, Selvish Capers 6'4" 308, Jason Fox 6'7" 303, G: Shawn Lauvao 6'2" 301, Sergio Render 6'3" 318, Mitch Petrus 6'3" 310, C: Ted Larsen 6'3" 304, Matt Tennant 6'5" 300, JD Walton 6'3" 300 RB: Lonyae Miller 6'0" 221, Javarris James 6'0" 212, Jonathan Dwyer 5'11" 229, Anthony Dixon 6'1" 233 DT: Darryl Jackson (I really like this kid, IMO he's a super sleeper) 6'1" 310, Jeff Owens 6'1" 304, Travis Ivey 6'4" 341 DE: Clifton Geathers 6'8" 299 (Dad, Robert, was a third round pick of Buffalo's in 1981 but he never played a game due to injury. Robert Jr. plays DE for the Bengals,) Lindsey Witten 6'5" 250 (Donte Whitner's brother. Oh how the board will blowup if he's drafted by the Bills), Jermaine Cunningham 6'3" 266 LB: ILB Boris Lee 6'0" 238. TSN, Josh Hull 6'3" 237, Thaddeus Gibson 6'2" 243, Jamar Chaney 6'1" 242 No DB's needed IMO. -
Rotoworld News on Marshawn Lynch
Steely Dan replied to Steely Dan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Bills should trade him for a conditional pick. Starting a fourth next year and up to a possible second if he hits 1,250 yards rushing. 1,000 would make it a third. -
Rotoworld Marshawn Lynch-RB- Bills Apr. 24 - 12:05 am et One personnel director tells the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel that he's sure the Bills would be "willing to take whatever at this point" for Marshawn Lynch. "They've got too many guys and they're trying to move him, but I don't know if there's much activity," said the executive. "He just doesn't want to be there. Just not a good situation." This is similar to a report from ESPN's Chris Mortensen, who tweeted earlier in the day that "Lynch has to be a goner ... Couldn't give him away is what I've been told." Seattle remains the most likely landing spot, but it doesn't sound they're going to give up much to acquire him. Source: Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel Related: Seahawks

Round 3, Pick #72: DE Alex Carrington Arkansas State

From what I've read this guy is a lot more athlete than player. He seems to get lazy on the field. I'm not really on board with this pick. -

Round 2, Pick #41: DT Torell Troup - Central Florida
Steely Dan replied to SDS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Best NT's in the league are 6'3" or shorter down to 6'1". It gives them better leverage. JMO I also think Troup is a more aggressive player than Joseph is. Vince Wilfork 6'2" 325 Casey Hampton 6'1" 325 Ryan Pickett 6'2" 340 Torrell Troup 6'2.75" 314 -
Round 2, Pick #41: DT Torell Troup - Central Florida

Exactly, given the choice between the two they took the highest rated player on their board. JMO As I write this 52 picks have been made and Cody has yet to come off the board. DE What he said. The kid must be a real dick in order for him to fall this far. JMO -

Hand fighting and fitness are two things that can be taken care of. He can be a three down player if he can correct those things. The stuff I've read said Cody will never be a three down NT. -
I GOT ONE RIGHT!! I GOT ONE RIGHT!!! FIRST TIME EVER!! WRONG ROUND BUT STILL!!! Great pick!!
