  1. “We can’t stand by, we’ve gotta stand up. And we’ve got to do it together, or it’s gonna be gone.” antifa's got to go.
  2. So I take it you pretty much said the same thing he did but used different words? Thanks. You have plummeted to the bottom of my Christmas card list.
  3. Well, that's approximately $5.55 per person of relief that they didn't already have, so I say bravo to Watt for his efforts. I've lived in Texas for 28 years, and have never seen destruction like this, and neither have most of the victims of the hurricane. No amount of money can return what many people have lost, but the fact that there are people that will spearhead efforts like this make me believe that we're still a country of people that care about eachother, and not a bunch of bitter, self-indulgent idiots like we behave as most of the time. This is the sort of thing that we should not only support, but also be proud of.
  4. Baskin steps up to the plate, and.....a swing and a miss!
  5. No, I think he's saying something about Germans, but whatever you do, don't mention the war. I did, but I think I got away with it.....
  6. I would have issues with that as well, but that's not what I'm advocating. Every guest speaker should be required to pay $15,000 for security, if that's what it costs to ensure peace. Indeed.
  7. This is a school that has fashioned it's legacy, at least in part, as a champion of free speech. Forget for a moment how ridiculous it is to consider the core concepts and mechanics of American freedom (like for example, free speech itself) as being an incendiary or controversial topic, and consider for a moment why there is a necessity to post a fifteen thousand dollar fee for security just to have such notions discussed in a public forum. You may feel differently, TYTT may feel differently, but I believe that is complete bullcrap. Sure, the school can charge Shapiro whatever they deem necessary to maintain security, order, and civility. But guess what - no amount of money will keep the fascist left from rioting, burning, and attacking people who support Shapiro. There will be no civility, there will be no security. They are a joke. They are not about equality, they are not about diversity, and they don't give a flying crap about constitutional liberties or freedom of speech. To be honest, as far as I'm concerned, they can all go $#%@ themselves.
  8. These questions and more will be answered next week, same bat-time. same bat-channel.
  9. You do realize then that you're supporting a climate that allows certain points of view to be expressed freely while those expressing opposing points of view must pay what many consider to be an onerous fee in order to have the same freedom? That's not a question of "free speech isn't free" but rather approved speech is free, everyone else pays.
  10. Yeah, it's getting bad down there. This is pretty much what happened in the 9th ward with Katrina.
  11. You may be on to something, since Eph noticed that all the worms had died when they poisoned that building full of strigoi. The problem is that since he took an entire bottle of warfarin, he's likely going to bleed out internally anyway. All he needs to do to fulfill his goal is live long enough to share the revelation he just had while examining the pages of the lumen just before Eichhorst got there. Same here. I don't know if I mentioned it or not in one of the earlier season-threads, but at one point during season two I sent Richard Sammel a facebook message telling him that I thought Eichhorst is one of the all-time great TV villains and that he played the character perfectly. He actually replied to me and was very gracious. One of those characters that you just love to hate, and hate to see when they're finally gone.
  12. Why not? That makes as much sense as anything else I've heard lately on the subject.
  13. That would be much easier to discern if you more frequently made use of the quote function.
  14. Those may be the expectations, but an awful lot of people fall short of the mark, especially lately. The presidential hissy-fit would be incredible. You just won't believe how incredible it would be. You'll get tired of how incredible it would be, you'll see. It would be huuuuuuuge.
  15. There's actually two versions:
  16. Any predictions that I saw had the storm coming straight for Corpus Christi, with a possible left turn and stall over Matamoros. I don't think any models predicted a north-east shift toward Houston/Beaumont.
  17. That doesn't mean that he's wrong about this issue though.
  18. Thanks, but it's not too bad here. Judging by the debris on the property here at work, we had a little wind over the weekend, but nothing major. The Colorado river is pretty high from all the rain, but as far as I know there's been no actual flooding. The problem is that all the rivers flow to the south, so they'll all be cresting at the worst possible place at a really bad time.
  19. Well, things are certainly happening now.
  20. Brown is obviously a NAZI
  21. She lives here in town? Oh, hell yeah....
