I'm familiar with the theory that he's posting propaganda in return for a spiffy new Land Rover, but if that was the case then he could just be a left-wing B-Man* and post the propaganda without encouraging arguments or stringing people along, something at which he's proven to be skillful. Although I have no doubt that he's a partisan, I seriously doubt that he believes everything he posts. Despite that I've had him on ignore for a couple years by now, I still get treated to a large portion of his work through all the people who quote him, and I can tell you that from the spectator's point of view, he looks more like a puppeteer than a propagandist. Except that he doesn't need to pull any strings, only set the stage and sit back and laugh. * Not calling you a propagandist, B-Man. Just referencing your habit of linking a lot of articles.

That woman must be sliced and shredded to pieces. I can only imagine how much damage those rear claws did before she killed it. -

FTA: “The big irony is that their solution is right-wing social engineering,” said Michael Behrent, an associate professor of history at Appalachian State University in North Carolina and a co-author of a new report, for the American Association of University Professors, on speech legislation. “They’re supposedly against the idea of speech codes and authorities regulating what can and cannot be said,” Mr. Behrent added. “But they really are in fact advocating that.” Yep, that's it in a nutshell. -

If by "rose pedals" you mean 'money-grubbing, elitist, egotistical megalomaniacs' and by "pink unicorns" you mean 'who care nothing about anyone or anything other than themselves', then I'd have to say you're spot-on in your analysis.

I'm well aware that he was a randy bugger in his day, but you're the only one I've heard call Einstein a madman. If that's a madman, then the world would be a hell of a lot better off with a massive dose of madness. -
I strongly suspect that the reason he is as successful as he has been is due in part to those idiotic statements that routinely fly from his twitter account. He has so many people flipping out over the things he tweets and that he says on camera that his opponents do little more than lose their %$#%ing minds. Think about it - who has managed to mount an effective counter to anything he's done? It can be argued that congressional republicans have been as big a hindrance as the democrats, if not more so. I've seen no real organization in any so-called resistance movement. Vagina suits? Kittie hats? Screaming uselessly at the sky? Gatorman? No, I believe the fact that he doesn't act like a typical statesman and instead more like a self-centered loose cannon has helped him more than it's hurt.

I am so incredibly not surprised that you'd say something like that. -

Because if there's one thing that makes sense it's teaching people to not be unconsciously biased toward the diversity of others by making them consciously aware of the diversity of others. -
You remind me of my conversations with Meathead. He was always so hung up on race, calling everyone else insensitive at best, racist at worst for not sharing his worldview, all the while referring to his exes as "my black wife" and "my jew wife". I would tell him that the only one in the conversation that was paying any attention at all to race was him. Boy, did that piss him off.
-
Not only that, too few appear to realize how overuse of the term 'racist' begins to lessen its stigma. If you have one half of the country calling the other half racist all the time, especially when it's untrue, it will eventually carry no weight at all.

I've never even heard of her before. My first impression isn't a very good one.

It's just as funny how many people either don't know, or conveniently forget, that nearly none of the Republicans here supported Trump at all. The support he gets from non-libs here comes strictly from a pleasant surprise in job performance and results on his part, not some kind of blind loyalty. The threads are all there around 15-20 pages back should anyone care to see for themselves. * In fact, I invite all the people who come here calling people "Trumptards" to go see for themselves. There are a lot of people posting here that weren't around back then, so they just don't know. Here's an opportunity for a learning experience. Buftex - I call you out specifically because you are well aware of this yet you jump into random threads echoing the "Trumptard" label yourself. You used to be more honest than this, but now you're just joining an emotional pile-on.

Net Neutrality is at #4?! Apparently more so than I realized. I've rarely seen an idea so intentionally misrepresented as net neutrality is. Thankfully at this point it's little more than an anti-corporate/pro-regulatory rallying cry, and not something on the verge of being imposed again.

I thought it was perfectly clear that's what you meant.
