I have to submit my list of which 4 players I'm keeping. The rest of the players go into an auction at the end of August. I think it's a pretty easy choice, overall, but just wanted to see what others thought. Here's my roster: QB Philip Rivers QB Kurt Warner RB Steven Jackson RB Knowshon Moreno WR Roddy White WR Marques Colston TE Tony Gonzalez K Robbie Gould RB Reggie Bush RB Fred Jackson RB Samkon Gado WR Terrell Owens WR Pierre Garcon Roddy White and Marques Colston are locked, as is Steven Jackson. So that leaves one more keeper spot. I think the safe/smart move it to keep Rivers. Part of me wants to keep Moreno though, since he has a good chance of breaking out. That said, I might be able to get him cheap in the auction, depending on how he does in preseason. Thoughts?

I'd be a little wary. They currently are only validating that you receive the email.. But the fine print specifically says that they can request a transcript at any time, and if you aren't really a student, they will charge you for all of the shipping you used... Really not worth the risk, IMHO.

What vacations do you take that DON'T cost that much!?! Take a 2 week vacation, your hotel alone is going to run about $1,400, and that's for a pretty average hotel! My 2.5 week Mediterranean cruise trip is going to easily cost us $2-3k on top of the hotel costs (we're spending a few nights in Barcelona, otherwise the rest is on the cruise). We're looking to take a 2 day private tour in Egypt and that's $800 for both of us - cash only. Expand your horizons a little.

He holds it like a phone, it doesn't go down. He holds it so that it's unusable, it goes down a bar.. Not quite the same thing as far as I can tell, although you're right that it's just a single data point and like you pointed out, nothing happens on your iPhone when held either.

I checked the video for the Bold, and holding the phone didn't affect the signal strength at all. It dropped down a bar (and very briefly, two) when he gripped it tight, but it was very brief and seemed to recover to 5 bars quickly. So not all of those are proving your point.

That is actually not true -- they make money with every purchase you make. Read through this thread, there are some examples on how that works. Yes, they make more money when you carry a balance, but it's not required. I actually pay off my credit cards every month, and I have a really low interest rate - 8% or so.

Which is funny that I don't see much venom being launched at Apple for doing this, but read the threads about Sunday Ticket/DirecTV and some people go ballistic. Same concept.

I can guarantee you've heard their music, whether you recognize it or not. Like I said before, they're master businessmen and have their music in all sorts of TV shows, movies, video games, sporting events, etc. This song has been "popular' lately - it's even on the NHL10 soundtrack, and I've heard it on a few shows lately (can't tell you what shows offhand):

Naw, I trust my mechanic implicitly. I brought my car in at around 80k miles and asked him to check the brakes since I had never had them replaced. He told me they had about 20-30% and that I didn't need to replace them. I brought the car back 4 months later, same thing. 4 months later, same thing. About 2 years after the initial 80k service, he told me it was finally time to have the front brakes done. He could've easily said that they needed to be done before that - but he didn't. There's been other things he's done to make us trust him as well. Plus, with my last maintenance, he asked if I liked maple syrup. I looked confused, and said yes... And he gave me a big jar of it from his family farm.

It's coming along well - they've added a couple of new updates with some more photos and such. Looks pretty cool. And he took my suggestion and made a $100 donation level too.

I don't know about the iPhone specifically, but I've never used a case for any of my phones.

Your wiper just fell off...? Maybe that's an advantage to going to my mechanic - his have never fallen off. But yes, if one of those situations happened to me, I would obviously take care of it myself (unless it happened to be oil change time... In which case maybe I let the mechanic do it afterall ).

Windshield wipers don't just stop working one day, there's a lot of notice. And headlights go out maybe once in the lifetime of a vehicle, so yeah... No big deal to me. Besides, you're spending more buying them locally, that's not very frugal. He has my business because he's trustworthy and reasonable (ie: not charging money to replace things that take him 2 minutes). Our first experience with him was calling about something that Goodyear screwed up - he explained the ins and outs of what they screwed up so that we had the ammo to go yell at them - and we weren't even customers yet! Plus, there's something to be said for trusting that your mechanic isn't ripping you off on something.
