  1. Other common personal insults are "be his lover," "blow him," and "have his lovechild." Notice how Bashers always use sexual insults, whereas the non-bashers just point out facts and don't make personal attacks (aside from the occasional "you're an idiot," which is often true.) Perhaps Drew Bashers are secretly gay and/or in love with Bledsoe themselves? I bet Freud would say so. CW
  2. Maybe it was funny the first time Drew Bashers used similar lines to anyone who wasn't also bashing. The 1,700th time, it loses its humor and simply deserves a CW
  3. Not only did you start a new paragraph, you also started that paragraph with the word "anyway." In the English language, both of those generally mean a separate thought or idea. Maybe if you learned how to communicate better... Pretty sure Buffalo won 9 of their last 12 games last year. That doesn't sound like a late-season slide to me. Oh wait, you're going to point to one game against Pittsburgh as "proof," aren't you? I'm sure you're one of the people who has said in the past that if DB doesn't win the Superbowl in Dallas, that shows he sucks. CW
  4. Just a weekly pool where you pick vs the spread who you think will win. I was tied for best in the week, but the tiebreaker is "total points scored." I picked 34, the other guy picked 42. Since the combined score was 41, and 41 is closer to 42 than it is to 34, I lost the week. At the start of the season, every pays $17 ($1/week). If you win the week, you get $21.75 (based on the number of people we have in the league). At the end of the season, the top-3 players get a prize as well (don't remember how much offhand, roughly $60 for first, $40 for second, $25 for third.). It's just a bunch of friends playing, so it's fun to "compete" against each other. CW
  5. NO!!! Do NOT, I repeat, NOT bet your house based on e-dog's predictions! Only destruction will ensue! I miss my theater already... CW
  6. Careful, you're taking his comment out of context now.
  7. Please tell me how I took your comment out of context
  8. The start of the thread is pretty amusing. "He didn't make any plays." "Except for that one." "And that other one." "Oh, and that other one." "And KC only scored 3 points." Agreed that I'm not sure he's worth top-3 money, but he's a top-notch CB. I wouldn't be upset if we did re-sign him. CW
  9. ...Am I invited...?
  10. JSP, McKinnie is terrible. Combine that with his terrible attitude (he was arrested last month as well as seen dumping evidence from the boat cruise), and I'd take MW in a heartbeat. I also still think MW, when healthy is much better than BM. Look at the end of last season, and the few games he played this season. They probably moved him to guard to minimize his ankle problems (although I'm guessing). CW
  11. I follwed his advice, and now I'm homeless!!! CW
  12. Gotta love stupid comments like these. CW
  13. No, after watching this season compared to what DB has done up until now, I think we all already know the answer to that. Now I just want to get paid CW
  14. I'm rooting for Dallas bigtime. Why? Because if Dallas wins and the combined score is 34 or less, I win $22 in the weekly pool. Good enough reason? CW
  15. It's 60 right now. EDIT: Wife finally had enough, so we had to turn the furance on. I say put on another sweater, but I lose that argument. CW
  16. That was me saying we could've taken delay penalties to suck up the entire clock. And sorry, but I'm not buying the "respect for the game," angle. If there was this so-called respect, players wouldn't fake injuries to stop the clock (until a rule was instituted to counter that). Teams wouldn't rush to the line and snap the ball quickly on a questionable play, they'd give the opponent (or the booth) time to decide if it's a replay. I could go on, but you get my point. CW
  17. A defensive penalty won't stop the clock, but offsetting apparantly does. See this thread I started: http://www.stadiumwall.com/index.php?showtopic=34805 CW
  18. No, that must've just been on your TV. CW
  19. Actually, that's usually when you DO see scirmishes... Did you watch the Steelers/Browns game last night? Same thing. There's also another thread that says the Chiefs were pissed at WM for celebrating when he got the first down. On the next play (2 minute warning), they wanted a peice of him. No handoff, no wanting a peice of him, no fight, game over. CW
  20. Exactly. I would've thought people here would want to give him a gameball for getting KH out. CW
  21. I guess we can't fault MM too much if half the posters here aren't getting it either Yes, the game clock stopped for the two minute warning. Here's the turn of events that SHOULD have happened: 1st and 10, 2 minutes left (clock stopped): Kneel the ball 2nd and 11, 1 minute, 20 seconds left (clock running): Kneel the ball 3rd and 12, 40 seconds left (clock running): Kneel the ball 4th and 13, game over. CW
  22. 40 seconds * 3 plays = 120 seconds. 2 minutes = 60 seconds * 2 = 120 seconds. CW
  23. That was fixed at the start of the 4th. And if CBS knew KC didn't have any timeouts, I think the BIlls did too. CW
  24. No kidding - Holy crap, $8000 on a $200,000 home?! I'll stop complaining about paying my $3,500 now... And I know mine's a LOT higher than Minnesota (live right across the border in Hudson, WI). That's insane... CW
