  1. I guess there's a lot of info, so here's a solution: http://www.lifelock.com/ Plus, as a presidential candidate, I'm sure this information wouldn't be to hard to find out anyway except maybe the SS #. What about the Clinton File Gate which was much worse than this?
  2. This is a better article about race and what is "Owed" to minorities than that speech from a few days ago. http://www.americanthinker.com/2008/03/obamas_anger.html
  3. Everyone in DC knows that most govies working in the State Dept. are really a bunch of left over liberals from the Clinton Admin. So, if there is a problem with the State Dept. it's most likely the libs eating there own.
  4. McCain? I want to know who in the Bush Admin. knew it and when. This has to stop. The vast right wing is at it again. This time against its own. Why can't the State Dept. hire contract employees, that run their entire computer systems, prevent them from accessing databases that contain personal information? Fire them all. These contractors are all political hacks trying to dig up the next big story. What information is in a passport file record any way that can't be found in other sources? destinations and dates? big deal!
  5. If we drilled our own damn oil we wouldn't have this big a problem.
  6. uneducated is right. We get no oil from Iran. none.
  7. It will be Obama vs. McCain with a McCain win!!! How do I know? I just send my step mother, a stanch Democrat from Massachusetts, the link to the Rev. Wright going off like the racist he is and his anti-American tirade and she wrote me back saying there is no way she could support him after seeing his pastor say those things. Game-Set-Match!!!
  8. You just made my point Jacka$$. The Federal gov’t should not give a sh-- about gays and abortion but somehow the Federal Gov’t got involved didn’t it! What ever happened the enumerable rights in the constitution? What ever happened to States rights? Remember that John Adams, the 10 Amendment? Here, I'll remind you: The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people. Where in the constitution does it say anything about gays and abortion? You Libs are all talk but don’t back it up with facts. I’m not talking about little petty politics; I’m talking about our constitution, freedom, and the rule of law. Something the Libs seem to ignore and resort to name calling since they can’t back up their progressive ideas based on any foundation in the law.
  9. So maybe you libs will learn something about liberty, freedom and tyranny. That fighting for life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness does come with major sacrifice and God forbid, war. The liberals of today wouldn’t have fought this war with Briton. We would still be an English colony if it was up to the likes of Molson. The radicals and liberals of the time were our original patriots because they fought for freedom against tyranny with everything to lose in return for liberty. The liberals of today are not patriots, they are communists. The liberals of today don’t want liberty for the people, they want the government to have it. They don’t believe in the constitution, they want to rewrite it. They don’t want us to make our own decisions; they want to do it for us. They want to tax, tax, tax and tell us what we should earn, how we eat, how we raise our kids, what health insurance we should have, etc. "The moment the idea is admitted into society that property is not as sacred as the laws of God, and that there is not a force of law and public justice to protect it, anarchy and tyranny commence. If 'Thou shalt not covet' and 'Thou shalt not steal' were not commandments of Heaven, they must be made inviolable precepts in every society before it can be civilized or made free." -- John Adams, A Defense of the Constitutions of Government of the United States of America, 1787 "Remember democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet that did not commit suicide." -- John Adams, letter to John Taylor, April 15, 1814 "[The purpose of a written constitution is] to bind up the several branches of government by certain laws, which, when they transgress, their acts shall become nullities; to render unnecessary an appeal to the people, or in other words a rebellion, on every infraction of their rights, on the peril that their acquiescence shall be construed into an intention to surrender those rights." -- Thomas Jefferson, Notes on Virginia [1782] "Congress has not unlimited powers to provide for the general welfare but only those specifically enumerated." -- Thomas Jefferson "[T]he powers of the federal government are enumerated; it can only operate in certain cases; it has legislative powers on defined and limited objects, beyond which it cannot extend its jurisdiction." -- James Madison, Speech in the Virginia Ratifying Convention [June 6, 1788]
  10. Just like there's a 99% chance your an idiot?
  11. That's not true! The law stipulates that telecommunication companies can not be sued based on a wire tape requested by the Government under FISA. The government needs access to those lines and right now there are no guards in place for someone suing them over privacy concerns. The telecom companies need protection from the courts in order for the U.S. Gov’t to gain access to intell. It’s not a law protecting the telecoms over anything they may initiate over privacy. Now another point, everyone has a very short memory over 9/11. Why didn’t we “connect the dots”, why did we fail in not detecting the 9/11 plot. Blah blah blah. The dems blasted everyone over intel and not being able to gather and share information. Hence, the Patriot Act. You can’t have it both ways. Either we connect the dots or we don’t. If we don’t have the tools to gather information there are no dots to connect. Even if we did catch the Mother F’ers before they boarded the planes, what were we going to charge them with? Boarding a plane with box cutters? The ACLU would have had them released in 24 hours. 9/11 changed everything, and now we have those same people who want to go back to pre-9/11 mentality. We are in a war and we better start acting like it.
  12. God I hope it's not Lindsey Graham. I don't know to much about Crist so I can't say. What's up with Golisano? If that guy puts a competitive team on the ice you sell out all year, great fan support in WNY. I live in DC and the caps never sell out. I went to the Caps v. Sabres game a few months ago and I bet there were only 7,000 fans, and of those 2,000 were Sabres fans. I just don't get it. If the Sabres and Bills leave town, God help that city. I haven't lived in Buff for over 25 years but I love the place and my sports teams. I really would have no reason to go back to visit WNY. I take my kids to a home game every year and we have a blast. I would hate to see that tradition end.
  13. Various bills concerning the response to Hurricane Katrina, including an amendment putting strict limits on the use of no-bid contracts after disasters. That's a great Bill Obama! I'm swimming in a cesspool, my house is destroyed and now I have to wait until the government generates and RFP, sends it out to industry, waits until the proposals come back, evaluates them, them awards a contract. By then, I would have either died or rebuilt my house myself. Great Bill Obama!
  14. Sorry, Bishop. That was a stupid response on a message board about your opinion. It's was after 11:00PM, and the Sabres just lost, and I was on my third cocktail. Personally I have no idea who is running mate will be. McCain is so off the wall sometimes, he just might pick Lieberman. But like I said, I don't think it adds anything to the ticket. McCain needs to think about a V.P. that step in and do the job since he is no spring chicken. McCain needs to be sure this person is a viable president and not in the Dan Quayle mode either. I'm thinking (hoping) it’s Romney at this point. He's young, energetic, wealthy, a proven economic leader that McCain lacks, and can be the tickets pit bull when it comes to the Dem attack machine. McCain will not get into any tiff or bad mouthing with the dems (which I think is a mistake) so he will need his V.P. to do that. Romney is just the guy. He will tell it like it is and he can do it very effectively. Anyway, that’s my opinion but who cares.
