Yeah, I'm trying to figure out how "change" equates to keeping the same families in power yet again. Oh well.

I have the Canon Digital Rebel XTi. For this shot, I was using this 50mm f/1.4 lens: http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_gw?url=s...amp;x=0&y=0 I also have this lens (28-135mm): http://www.amazon.com/Canon-28-135mm-3-5-5...6898&sr=1-1 And this one (70-300 DO - awesome lens but very expensive - I got it about $100 cheaper than listed here): http://www.amazon.com/Canon-70-300mm-4-5-5...6924&sr=1-1 I used a post I found in the parking lot to balance the camera on -- probably could've gotten a better shot if I could've moved wherever I wanted to, but it was relatively flat and I didn't have to hold the camera too much (still had to hold it a little though, so vibrations from my body still affected it I'm sure).

I took this photograph over the weekend in Oshkosh, WI. There's a "Festival of Lights" type of thing going on. I think it turned out pretty well and just wanted to share. http://www.fezam.com/nightlights.jpg I probably should've used a higher ISO (set to 400 -- probably should've tried 800). In addition, I did crop the image and apply an unsharp mask. Could've done better if I had a tripod, but I accidentally left it at home (in Minnesota...), so had to improvise with what I could find in the area.

Yeah, the wings there aren't all that great and the service is non-existant. But the pizza and ESPECIALLY the calzones are awesome there! Oh, and so are the french fries. You were also literally about 5-6 blocks away from where my parents live (and where I grew up).

There are restaurants other than Duff's and Buzzy's in WNY...?

My brother-in-law was at the Browns game and we were talking aout it on Thanksgiving. He said the same thing about Edwards. He was watching Evans quite a bit because he has him in fantasy football -- and said he was wide open a lot of the Cleveland game, but Edwards wasn't throwing the ball. Doesn't surprise me that the same thing was happening today...

New England game: Ball doesn't need to be "near" the guy being blocked -- you can block anyone you want when the ball's been tipped. I believe Warren Sapp laid someone out a few years ago on an interception. It's possible that the NFL changed the rule without me knowing though... Buffalo game: It was a BS non-call on the gorunding. The rule specifically says that grounding is not called if the ball is thrown at or past the LoS. "Near" the LoS doesn't count. http://www.nfl.com/rulebook/intentionalgrounding
-
I believe everyone's fair game on a tipped ball. Besides, the ball was "near" the receiver, just like the ball was "near the line of scrimmage" on the non-intentional-grounding call.

Yeah -- the refs cost us another 2 with their "near the line of scrimmage" BS. 11-10 win.

They don't take credit card. I tried going there with my wife last time we were there, but we had no cash. I love the Kansas City from Nelson's Cheese Factory in St. Paul, MN. http://site.mawebcenters.com/nelsoncheesef...boxedlunch.html

I can't believe everyone's ignoring the best part of the article (I just heard about it today): "Walsh was released to his girlfriend and Feldman to her husband, police said." Should read: "Walsh was released to his ex-girlfriend and Feldman to her ex-husband, police said."

I believe it was the Bills vs Jets as the first ever HD game. You think that matchup was much better?
-
My brother-in-law sent me a text message saying that after attending the MNF game in Buffalo, he's now a Bills fan (from Green Bay/Milwaukee). He even said Bills fans were livlier than Packers fans (which I agree with ). He did complain about the beer sales though...

YES WE WON - but why is everyone talking playoffs still
Fezmid replied to Poeticlaw's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Especially considering the Chiefs had 21 takeaways this season, most in the NFL (according to the stats on the TV, anyway). -
You realize that $50B is a drop in the bucket compared to Citi's assets, right? Citi is as low as it is due to consumer confidence (or lack thereof) and not due to fundamentals, for the most part. The entire banking industry is in turmoil and it's not like Citi based its business on terrible fundamentals. Heck, when my wife and I tried getting a mortgage from them 6 years ago, the best they'd offer us was 8%!!! We got 5.5% elsewhere.

Yes, the Chiefs are 1-9. But we scored more points against them then ANYONE IN THE HISTORY OF THE NFL. You have to give our offense credit -- they played a team on the road and scored more points than anyone has ever scored against the Chiefs. That's a statement they can grow from. I don't understand all the negative comments on the board all the time -- if you don't want to enjoy the team, then stop watching and stop posting. Nothing's going to change until next season at the earliest, so why waste your time? -
Buffalo was the first in HD, but the Chargers/Raiders get to be the first in 3D: http://www.engadgethd.com/2008/11/24/live-...oof-of-concept/

Don't let facts get in the way of your rant, mkay? "Chief Executive Vikram Pandit and other top management will keep their jobs despite the intervention, but the government will have the final say on executive pay packages. More details on compensation may come next week, government officials said." http://www.reuters.com/article/marketsNews...20081124?rpc=44

Denver just got T-rolled at home by Oakland...

If we were in the AFC West, we'd be in first place.... -
Only diffs betw this game and the last 4
Fezmid replied to Tcali's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Only difference is the opponent and we're playing better.... You mean when we play better, we win....? Amazing insight! (sorry, couldn't resist ) Serioulsy though -- yes, the Chiefs aren't good. But they lost to the Jets by 4, the Chargers by 1, the Bucs by 3 in OT, the Saints by 10, and they beat the Broncos... So they're not complete pushovers either, and our offense steamrolled them on the road. Most points EVER scored against the Chiefs in their history. That says something. -

Are you living in NF now? I'm from there (moved out in '94) and I hope your effort works. I'll check the link, and I wish you the best. My grandmother lives on 20th street and the place is a dump -- she has the only nice house on the whole block and I'm always worried about her safety. She actually encountered someone who broke into her house a few years back -- she cornered him and stabbed him with one of her good kitchen knives. Worked out well for her, but could've been REALLY REALLY bad.
