  1. They have that crap on the tables of a lot of chinese places around here. I really don't like the taste and don't find it hot in the least.
  2. Ummmm.... Because if he did that, he'd also be paying millions in taxes on the "gift." When you're 90, are you going to give away everything you built up?
  3. You mean players like Baltimore's starting NT, Justin Bannan? http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/teams/depth?...;formationId=15
  4. I should've changed it to, ""I've never understood people who can't admit that players who we thought sucked in Buffalo and then leave might be better than we thought." Nobody wanted Pat, Winfield and Clements to leave. I'm talking more about players like Coy Wire, Jim Leonhard, Bannon, etc.
  5. I've never understood people who can't admit that players who leave Buffalo could possibly be good.
  6. Tear down the Rainbow Mall, or what's left of it.
  7. Yeah, that's all I use. Not sure what the pay version does that the free one doesn't...
  8. MediaMonkey is a great player and has a lot of features like tagging. I used to use WinAmp, but MediaMonkey is leaps and bounds better.
  9. I was close - Swarm by 3, 10-7.
  10. Minnesota Swarm over the Stealth by at least 4. http://www.mnswarm.com/index2.asp
  11. The wumpus isn't ringing a bell, but it's been forever since I've seen it. And yes, I think Blah was on there.
  12. No - there was no kiddie show. It was Greg and only one or two other puppets (the monkey, Montegue, I believe), and their "lives" mirrored various movies, one per episode. It was ok - nowhere near as good as the Fox show IMHO.
  13. Sorry, but Jones and Simmons were far better than Hanson. And like he said, a 3-4 is much more difficult for a DE to get pressure on a QB than a 4-3. Can't disagree with anything I've read in the original post.
  14. The cayenne suggestion is awesome. I tried it out of the blue once -- put some in the oil while it was popping. Gave it to my wife. She was pissed at how spicy it was (that, and she wasn't expecting anything other than normal popcorn ). It was good though!
  15. They're constantly adding more locals every few weeks - but I don't know what their plans are offhand. Everyone instantly looks at DirecTV, but if you're not interested in Sunday Ticket and don't care about the most HD channels, people should also consider looking at Dish. They have a couple of advantages over DirecTV: 1) Cheaper 2) Receiver lets you send two different pictures to two different TVs (not sure how they do it and why DirecTV hasn't copied it yet) They also have an "HD only" tier that one of my coworkers is on. It's only about $30/month for all of the HD channels (but none of the standard def channels).
  16. They signed the agreement, but haven't released a product yet. Speculation is Q4 '09. I have a DirecTV DVR, and you're right -- TiVo rocks compared to it. The DirecTV one isn't bad... It's just that it's not good. The apartment can't legally do that. It's considered "exclusive use property," and the FCC says you can put a dish there if you want, regardless of whether the lease says you can or not. It's like the whole, "Landlord can enter your apartment at any time for any reason" clause in a lease -- in Minnesota, they can say that, but it's not legal and they can be fined $50/occurance. http://www.fcc.gov/mb/facts/otard.html "The rule applies to individuals who place antennas that meet size limitations on property that they own or rent and that is within their exclusive use or control, including condominium owners and cooperative owners, and tenants who have an area where they have exclusive use, such as a balcony or patio, in which to install the antenna. The rule applies to townhomes and manufactured homes, as well as to single family homes." I guess it's time to switch - DirecTV has On Demand now. Just connect it to your broadband connection, and you're done. I used it to watch a lot of Olympic coverage because you could download just the individual event you were interested in -- and it was in HD to boot! http://www.directv.com/DTVAPP/global/conte...ssetId=P4750018
  17. I'll second Wonderfalls and Greg the Bunny. Both excellent. There were some Greg the Bunny episodes done before Fox picked them up. That show was quite a bit different... A lot darker too.
  18. It tastes AWESOME though! And that which doesn't kill us only makes us stronger, right.....
  19. Keep in mind that you can't watch two different programs on the one receiver -- the receiver itself only outputs one video signal to all of the outputs. As for OTA -- you can get an antenna that mounts to the dish and they can run a cable in at the same time. So yes, you'll have an antenna, but no it won't be "rabbit ears on the TV." I had a Square Shooter that looked niec on the roof and fed OTA to all of the TVs in my house - free. Plus, you can record OTA on the HD DVR. Also -- you should be able to get a second HD DVR for $99. That's what I paid without even asking. Even better, you can plug in a SATA drive (or open the box and put it internal...) and get practically unlimited recording. My father-in-law can't do that with his HD DVR from Charter -- he only has about 20-30 hours of recording.
  20. Fezmid hopes that the jester will be back next week to predict the second round of the playoffs. Fezmid would like to pick the opposite and win his house back.
  21. Just saved a TD. EDIT: Not that it mattered...
  22. That's a fair assessment. While I don't believe that all of the players we released would've helped us make the playoffs, I just hate reading people who say they suck. Milloy, for example, is one of only 32 starting strong safeties in the entire NFL three years after being released by Buffalo. That alone says he doesn't suck, IMHO. http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/M/MillLa00.htm
  23. That'd be great if you were actually debating. You weren't. You were being an ass. Your total contributions consisted of: That obviously means he's good. Re-check that. It's impossible to have a subpar starter on a postseason team. Straw-man arguments rule. Pat Williams is a good player. Milloy isn't. So where is the debate? Yeah, didn't think so. Fact of the matter is that there's a lot of starters from Buffalo cast-offs on teams that people say are coached/GMed well. If they're well coached/GMed, then why would they pick up our castoffs? Oh, maybe because they don't suck as much as some posters would like to believe. Yet you and some others still maintain that they all suck with nothing to actually contribute to the thread.
  24. Yeah, same here. My brother-in-law and father-in-law are both Badger alum and were excited when he joined Buffalo.
  25. We cut him, so he sucks, remember? Everyone who was ever with the Bills (prior to 99 maybe?) sucks. SUCKS SUCKS SUCKS.
