I'll give Nassib a break - this was the season opener, in a newly installed offense. I thought that his play (unlike that of some of his fellow senior QBs) improved as the season progressed. Instead of moping, pouting and whining to the refs, he did lead his team back from a 20+ point deficit late in the 3rd qtr. To me, above and beyond gaudy numbers, that competitive spirit is the kind of thing that I look for in a QB.

He was trying to score, to show the NBA scouts that he can do so, IMO. He needs to think "team first" - he had Triche open a few times yesterday (including once on a 2-on-1), and opted to hold on to the ball.

just speculation, I think. I'm an SU fan/grad, and the rumors flying around with respect to Marrone's replacement are all over the place - from Hackett, Shafer, Tyrone Wheatley, David Walker, all the way to Jim Tressel (and I'm not even sure that Tressel is currently eligible to coach in the NCAA)

I was posting about this in the shout box last night and this morning, Chevy. Great performance by the US kids, and it was especially nice to see Grigorenko, McCabe, Armia and Makarov play so well. And it was also nice to see Don Cherry, once again, show what a piece of **** he is.
