Biden and the crises er challenge on the border
reddogblitz replied to Unforgiven's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Thanks for this well presented answer. Is there any data on what percentage of abortions fit this case? Interesting but not sure how it changes what I said. I'm not trying to argue that abortion is good or bad. Just that what we are seeing now in regards to companies not being able to find workers is a down stream effect of abortion. For example, in 1990 there were 1,600,000 abortions in the US. People aborted that year would now be 33 years old. Prime working age to take a lot of those unfilled jobs. And then there's A multiplier effect from earlier abortions. In 1973 there were 744,000. Those people would be 53 years old, still working, and in many cases had some children of their own that would now also be the work force. I got my data here: https://www.pewresearch.org/short-reads/2023/01/11/what-the-data-says-about-abortion-in-the-u-s-2/ And I agree by the way that households without a mother and father is a big contributor to a lot of our problems today. -
Thanks for the answer/question. Probably not, but it didn't cause the economy to tank. COVID did that.

DeSantis For President in 2024?
reddogblitz replied to Trump_is_Mentally_fit's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Sadly you are probably right. Why is the Democrat party ramming him down our throat? 60% of Americans don't want President Trump to run either. Why is the Republican party ramming him down our throat? The political parties and money have way too much to do with it. Our presidential candidate selection process is so screwed up. And yes I'll say it, un democratic. RFK Jr. Is polling at 20% in some polls and he's a crackpot. What does that tell you? I bet if they did have debates the young people would go for him. They don't like President Biden. I'll vote for him in the primary if no one else jumps in. -

You mean the guy that 72% of Americans don't want to run in 2024? https://www.cnn.com/2022/09/23/politics/joe-biden-poll-reelection-2024/index.html -
Ask Vice President Harris if it's also okay to read Huckleberry Finn in the classroom in the year of our Lord 2023. Hypocrites. Lefties have done their share of book banning over the years. They just see this as a good wedge (divide the population) issue to win the next election. And white tennis shoes with a suit is a really bad look.

No, it's not. A lot of people have and continue to have an unwanted pregnancy and man/woman up and take care of their child. They work harder to make more money for their family. People often move from low incomes to higher incomes. What you say may be true for some but definitely not for all as you suggest. What did people do before abortion on demand? We must have had way more people in poverty, welfare, and crime than we do now. Do you think that's the case? And even so it still is a major part of the reason we don't have people to do all jobs and, as @Tiberius suggests we must import more immigrants to do them. -
What does that have to do with a humming economy and low black unemployment?
-
I can agree to the first paragraph and answer no to the second. But the fact remains, A humming economy helps out a lot of people's situation (which is what I was responding to). Would you disagree?
-
When President Trump was in office we had the lowest black unemployment rate in our county's history. And up until March 2020, the economy was humming. Certainly A lot of people's situation was better due to these 2 things.

There's a worker shortage because of abortion. All the people that could and would do these jobs were aborted 20, 30, 40, 50 years ago. -

I don't know, I always thought the "messy body fluids and pesky emotional stuff" were the 2 of the best parts. The reason gay guys get so much sex is cuz it's 2 guys. Duh. Nobody gets a "headache". -

Thinking blacks are too stupid to think for themselves is classic Democrat. The actions against this man though seems like something President Trump would do. -
Translation for people not married: She told hIm he has to run so he had to or else he would be punished. You can be right or you can be happy, but you can't be both. She might as well decide, she's the one that's gonna be campaigning. We've seen it already with Jill at the Super Bowl and Women Final Four and the Academy Awards all without Joe. I suspect we'll see a lot of this. If President Biden wins another term we'll have a Woodrow Wilson situation on our hands before much longer. And I seriously doubt Democrats will pull a 25th amendment on him no matter how bad it gets.

I've been following the discussion between @BillStime and @aristocrat about puberty blockers and whether they sterilize children or not. While it may be true puberty blockers on their own don't, but when then followed with hormone treatments, they do. And almost all that do puberty blockers go on to hormone treatments. Why do you suppose they were advised to store their gametes? https://wng.org/roundups/study-effects-of-puberty-blockers-can-last-a-lifetime-1617220389 Dr. Jeremi Carswell, a pediatric endocrinologist at Boston Childrens Hospital says the same thing. https://thepostmillennial.com/boston-childrens-hospital-gender-doc-admits-puberty-blockers-can-cause-sterility-in-minors

I don't know, "most" would indicate to me at least 51%. Any stats to back that up? Even the more rabid trans activists say 40% even though most articles I find put the 40%-50% number to indicate those who have "seriously considered" (whatever that means) suicide. Not sure where you get your >50% number from. If you can provide it I'd be interested to read it.
