It amazes me that some of the biggest climate proponents are also big proponents of Ukraine slugging it out with Russia "as long as it takes". War is hell and also hell on the environment. All the military vehicles, mass amounts of jet fuel while jets pollute a lot, bombs blowing up polluting the air, unspent cluster bomb duds riddling the landscape, etc. These wars are going to set back some of the gains made by electric cars, windmills,solar power, etc.

Why weren't there any? Maine is a right to carry state. I suspect a lot of gun people talk tough about what they would do in an active shooter situation. But if you think about it, if you pull your gun out and start shooting, everyone else with a gun is going to think you're the shooter and shoot you. So, you better be a good shot to take him/her out quick. What I'm claiming is it wasn't long after we won that the IED attacks started and they were successful in injuring/killing many US troops. If our troops aren't needed why are we sending them?
