...Or you're a fan of the Bills and EJ and hope for the best for BOTH of them. Problem I see here is that too many posters think they know more than Whaley because they're good at Madden or FF. Armchair GMs with a higher sense of talent evaluation than the professionals. I really hope EJ is the man, I root for him and am willing to give him more than 10 games. I don't understand the posters that don't.

I just can't fathom why JBJ would want to own a team in which 99% of the fans already hate the idea of him being an owner UNLESS he planned on skipping town. Makes no sense to me.

Would it be that absurd if true? I'm sure there are plenty of Bills fans who would rather have a "classic pocket passer" under center for Buffalo. In fact, I'm sure it's true to some extent with all fans of all teams. No one has the marbles to flat out say it though, they'd rather cowardly pick, poke and beat around the bush. To believe that 100% of the fan base doesn't see race as an issue is ignorant. BTW I'm not calling anyone on this site a racist, I'm just saying that believing it's not an issue for some is being naive.

I don't have any hate for anyone here. I'm sorry if it came across that way, wasn't my intention. However my opinion of the EJ "haters" is just as valid as as those who have an opinion on EJ. It's not my responsibility to call anyone out and I also gave my opinion on the fans with "blind hope", not sure why my thoughts offend you so much. I've been coming to this site since the day we drafted Nate Clements, I've been thru the Holcomb, Losman, Edwards, Fitzpatrick debacles and it's always the same thing, this is nothing new and I'm not going to another message board. I'm as loyal to TSW as I am to the Bills themselves. I don't have to curtail my opinions on posters just like posters don't have to curtail their opinions on players. There will always be people that would rather be right than anything else, people on BOTH sides of the fence and I'm not infallible to this either. There are some great contributors on this board- Yolo, SJBF, NoSaint, BBF, Jboyst, Ryan and Bill appear right off the top of my head who are able to add something in a mostly pragmatic way. Some posters- JMO, DCTom, Chef and BB off the top of my head add something in the way of humor and levity to this site. And then you have the agenda seekers- I won't name names because I don't want to offend or call people out that detract from TSW. IMO They detract because every post is the same thing- it's boring. There used to be a rule around here against crusades, I guess that went by the waist side when EJ was drafted. Wonder why? Either way, it's disappointing to see people who have been here for years, some now even mods, that have been here through the other crusaders and detractors now doing it themselves. But it is what it is, and I'm not going anywhere but when I see people with agendas if I feel like calling them out I will. Doesn't mean I'm angry or that I hate the poster themself, it just means I'm joining in on "The airing of grievances".

Yup. It's self seeking egotism, people would rather be right than anything else. I try not to get involved too much with the arguing over EJ, I'd rather sit back and enjoy football. It works both ways though, there are those that will back up EJ no matter what. The difference to me is that the hardcore supporters have a lot of hope(even if it's made them blind to the truth) and the agenda mongers are just angry "I told you so" people. I'm guessing that the "I told you so" crowd were never validated as children and need a hug.

Don't bother, facts and optimism only make you an apologist in these parts. I guarantee that if the Bills ever win a SB w EJ as QB, it will make some on here miserable.

I'm a fan of Searcy, the guy always seems to be around the ball. He seems like a better than average safety who's going to make a handful of big plays in a season. Williams I'm not sure about yet but I like his attitude.

Well if teams were to take a schools history with players and their positions success rate, Khalil Mack wouldn't have even been drafted.

I thought we could talk a bit about a positive from last nights game. The Bills first unit D looked good. Got pressure, Bradham looked good an they seemed to flock to the ball. I didn't notice if we blitzed or not however.

Maybe just maybe Marrone didn't want his QB to get hurt and being that we had a 7th rd pick starting at LT against JPP he had EJ out there to just wing it so each player would get a chance to touch the ball. It seemed like Marrone just wanted to get his starters a chance to get any jitters out of the way and then he pulled them. I wouldn't read too much into EJ just dropping and throwing. The guys on the field for the first couple of series aren't fighting for a job. Why don't we see how things progress?
