  1. That annoys me more than anything else. I correct it every single time I hear it said, it just drives me crazy.
  2. Oh, come on. You're all making it like he's on the Todd Collins-Rob Johnson level, and that just isn't the case. He's shown flashes of ability, but he isn't a smart QB and is inconsistent. Don't get me wrong, I like Losman and am glad we have him and not Brooks, but you guys are over doing it. Oh, was I welcome in this thread with a low post count?
  3. Frustrating how it seems that every year they find a way to hold multiple first round picks. Why won't they just die?
  4. What terrible mistakes did the Pats make? We almost won this game because we played a good game, not because they played badly. Both of their turnovers came on good plays from our defense (as opposed to Brady making a terrible decision or somebody fumbling), the Pats shut down our run in the 2nd half, and there were no blown coverages or costly penalties. Saying the Bills nearly won the game only because of mistakes from the Pats just has no grounds or credibility, and it sounds as if they didn't even watch the game they're commenting on.
  5. I just can not follow your logic on the safety being his fault. He falls back on his third dropback step and gets hit from the left but evades it, takes a couple of steps to his right and gets blindsided. Blaming it on JP is ridiculous.
  6. According to some, he wouldn't have done that for Jacksonville, Buffalo or Tampa Bay. I guess that same guy would've just taken his sweet old time.
  7. Whitner by default as none of these guys looked great. Ellison was out of postion constantly, and I didn't notice Simpson in pass coverage or run support at all. With the Patriots running on us the way they did, I wouldn't think Williams could've played all that well and I only noticed him making one play. Whitner wasn't amazing but at least he got the pick. There's something to having a nose for the football as a defensive player and it was a nice play, cutting Watson's route off.
  8. When you dozed off at halftime did he blow an airhorn in your ear?
  9. Exactly. He's a bit more than midway through his rookie season in term of starts, but he's only had 1 !@#$ing start with this staff and this system. Give the guy a chance, Peyton Manning and Carson Palmer got more than 9 starts before they were labeled "winners" or "losers".
  10. I support Willis, but we only have one option in response to this. It's time for the return of a short yardage legend. Bring back Kenneth Davis.
  11. Wait, so what's the deal here? NBC has an exclusive on NFL highlights...except for SportsCenter? But they can't call the show PrimeTime?
  12. No, he got past the marker, and then got even a bit further after his knee had already hit. On the broadcast they showed a good replay and in a Vick-like manner he kept his knee off the ground incredibly deep into his lunge. I really thought he had it and that they brought it back too far. I was even thinking Jauron may opt to challenge the spot.
  13. This question was answered perfectly in the post right before yours: Let him get nice and comfy in the pocket, and instead of taking off when his first guy isn't open, let him stand in there and go through his progressions. Once he learns how to do that and we're comfortable with his pocket presence we can start letting him pick his spots to run. The last thing we want is him reverting back to last year's Losman, which involved altogether too much scrambling and not enough checking down. He's on the way though, as he did a good job of this today.
  14. Actually, I would have seen kicking the field goal as the option that would be "giving up points." You should be able to pick up a couple of feet on 4th down, and they would have if McGahee ran it correctly. Therefore, with the field goal you're only getting 3 points when you should have a crack at getting 7. As you said, you shouldn't be giving up points on the road. Just because McGahee f'ed up on the play doesn't mean it was a bad coaching decision.
  15. Whenever he gets into a conversation about the Bills quarterback position, my father will still always cite that one play as the reason why Kelly Holcomb should no longer be on this team. I don't know if I agree or not, but that was a truly disgusting play without a doubt.
  16. I believe McCargo plays Triplett's position, and he can only play the spot occupied by Williams and Anderson in pass rushing situations, like 3rd and long.
  17. Yeah and whose the leader and most important member of their defense? Richard Seymour, a big chunk of 1st round gold. You need to get players in a combination of ways, but the draft is a significant part of it.
  18. And if you wanted to fairly compare these drafts, you'd have to do so after the same amount of time, such as looking at the 2005 draft now, and comparing those players' status to those of the 2006 draft at the start of next year. That way, you're looking a both drafts after the same amount of time. In other words, let me know the status of each player in the 06 draft class at the start of next season.
  19. Agreed Rico, I thought we should have cut Vincent and let Ko start, keeping Baker around on the bench. Vincent always seems to be late on the deep balls, and I think some youth at that spot would be refreshing.
  20. Actually, I can't stand Clements on punt returns, and I was relieved when they started using Parrish in that role. Clements NEVER just goes straight ahead. No matter what, he ALWAYS begins by running across the field. He could have 7-8 yards of open space in front of him and instead of just turning on the jets straight ahead, his first steps would be dancing to the side. Sometimes it works out, but alot of times you've got to just run ahead and find a lane that way, and I think Parrish has a much better sense for it.
