  1. I liked what I saw out of Williams and Denney. I don't know if Williams made any tackles but he fought hard to hold the middle of the field against the run and I would've credited him with a hurry or two. Denney has really impressed me this whole preseason, and he played well against the run Saturday. Crowell didn't do a whole lot, and I noticed them running successfully to his side of the field. I didn't, however, see exactly what he was doing on those plays so take it for what its worth. Roscoe and Whitner were quiet and I didn't notice anything of Fowler.
  2. Anybody hear anything about Youboty? Because I don't think I've heard his name since the draft. Talking to my brother yesterday I actually said that either Eric King would take over for Clements next year or we'd have to bring in somebody new, and he had to remind me that Youboty existed.
  3. Actually, it costs more to cut him than it does it to keep him, plus they'd have to pay a new guy to come in. We'll actually save a decent chunk of change by just letting Holcomb sit on the bench all year.
  4. I don't know, I could see both Wire and Bowen getting cut eventually in favor of Leonard becoming the backup SS, and in addition contributing on the coverage teams. Considering they'll likely be going 3-deep at FS (Vincent, Simpson, Baker) I don't see them keeping more than two strong safeties. If I were in charge, I'd want to keep a player like Leonard on the roster.
  5. But with the very iffy Chris Villarial situation, he needed to see some time at guard and get acquainted to playing there, just in case. Now he's moving back to, as you said, his primary position.
  6. Is this from any type of reliable source?
  7. Exactly. Kevin Everett has his role now, and there's no way Euhus was making the team.
  8. You should take a look at the following post, because with the information we have at this point it appears to be an accurate (and understandable) explanation: It looks like they weren't actually moving Preston away from the center position, just giving him some reps at guard.
  9. Awesome, we can cut Holcomb and bring Rob back.
  10. I agree completely, and I have no idea how he got into pro bowls year after year. He'd get hit with false starts and holding calls all the time, and overall was an above average offensive lineman. He got the reputation as an all-pro player and I guess nobody bothered to check up on his play, and instead he kept getting into pro bowls and keeping that reputation.
  11. Doesn't Stamer play in the middle? I thought he was a good young player.
  12. On my guide, it's said that the whole time. I'm just hoping its wrong. Regardless, it looks like the Bills game will be winning itself one of the two open replay slots Tuesday 9pm and Wednesday 9pm, via the poll on NFL.com.
  13. Link to the story here. Jauron also went on to say nothing has changed on the depth chart and that JP is still the frontrunner. I think this is a good move as Losman gets his reps in and gets more comfortable, tuning up for the season opener. I think he's more of a frontrunner than Jauron lets on to be honest, and the first half will be about getting Losman more time with the first unit. The second half will be about Nall showing the coaching staff he can hold down the backup job, in my own opinion. No need for Holcomb to get any time, we know what we've got there. He can have the 4th quarter of the last game to stay sharp.
  14. Right, I agree with all of that. I was merely saying that if after about 5-6 regular season games Crowell isn't playing the way most of us expect him to play, than Hunter should get a look in his place if he can play the weak side.
  15. Wendell Hunter just continues to make plays and stand out, both in games and practices. He's establishing that after 5-6 games, if we aren't getting much out of Crowell, he deserves to get his shot as a starter. Assuming he can play that side, that is. I'm thinking its going to have to be Jerman, who has almost by default become our main backup tackle.
  16. Yeah, cause Drew has just looked TERRIBLE in this game.
  17. That's the whole point. To make it say the Bills game is on.
  18. I personally would like to see you add a 2nd QB spot. It forces people to have depth, and makes the middle rounds more important. As it is, you can draft one stud QB and not worry at all about QB the rest of the way, but another slot would make things more interesting.
  19. But...why? Is Kingsbury so much better? Just let him ride the pine.
  20. Up to 28%, good work gentlemen...
  21. I'm in there as Picture Perfect, but I'm hoping you'd consider getting rid of the individual defensive players. I hate these kind of leagues.
  22. Anybody know of a number I can call to ask about the situation? I tried calling 866-NFL-VENT as is posted on the website, but it isn't in service. I want to call and make sure they'll be airing the game this time around.
  23. It's the bitterness he has from watching Norwood's field goal over and over again in his mind.
