There are more teams with at least two receivers better than Stevie than there are teams on which he would be the best. So your first point is false. You say 22nd highest paid receiver as if that's a good thing, even though in 2013 he finished 68th in catches, 70th in yards and 89th in TD's. Sure, he was injured, but in 2012: 18th in catches, 18th in yards, 35th in TD's. These since he got his contract. I'd mind who you accuse of hyperbole when you make his contract out to be bargain when the issue of whether he's earned that money is arguable, at best. I've said time and time again that Stevie got his mojo from the freedom Chan's offense/Fitz's style afforded him. With those components eliminated, I don't think we'll 2010 numbers (his only real season of note, to date (2011 numbers virtually identical to 2012) ever again. But oh, by the way, we started 2010 0-8, so, sorry if I'm a bit underwhelmed by what ANYONE did that year.

They're all fine movies that were liked a little too much by the noise machine.

As an actress she has two speeds: wooden and sarcastic. READ: she's not that good. Juno was a fine movie, but it DEFINITELY suffers from Little Miss Sunshine/Nebraska levels of unwarranted hype.

Goodell makes 44 Million for this.

Right, and he does lead tax exempt multi billion dollar parent company of 32 billion dollar subsidiaries, so I'd expect him to make some nice coin. $44M is RIDICULOUS though. That's what? Double the annual salary of the leagues highest paid PLAYER? -
I still have a sneaking suspicion he'll be cut (after draft/FA), so a trade wouldn't bother me too much. Again AFTER the draft and FA as in if other guys are brought in, then I think his days are numbered. But what would I know? I'm just the guy who was completely unfazed when Bills nation had a collective meltdown over Evans' dismissal.

Again, I think he was the best of all "options." And what if they do go wide-nine? And what if it works? -

We would if Marrone were a "defense" guy. Look, I'm just playing devil's advocate. I thought Pettine made a mistake going to a toxic situation in Cleveland, and the events of this week have born that out. Meanwhile, we had an opportunity to replace him with an up-and-comer or a guy with experience and we opted for the safer, historically more successful bet. Having a former HC on your staff is hardly a bad thing (PITT now has four (yup)). Schwartz, in my opinion today, without having seen a single play the defense will run, knowing nothing (like everyone, believe it or not) about the scheme he'll run, was an exceptionally better hire than any boogey man, unproven commodity the Bills supposedly should have targeted. Because there can be no argument against Schwartz without an argument for someone else. And so far nobody has presented somebody that I'd agree should have been considered. -

Yeah but that argument fits. Detroit defense was bad. He was the head coach, it was his. Tennessee defense was good. He wasn't the head coach, it wasn't his. -
Again, we need to decide, once and for all: is it sex we're scared of? Or do we not just not like the idea that humans (male/female alike) are endowed with certain assets that are valued more than others (for money or otherwise)? Ask the $2,000/3 shifts/week stripper how objectified she feels. Am I envious that I'm not as comfortable with my bod to go and try and make that kind of dough? You bet I am! But I'm not going to slut-shame a woman because she's not! Okay, time to go completely off the rails: Meanwhile, Lena Dunham and her disciples have Christened her a hero because she's chubby and parades in front of a camera with her boobies out thus "challenging our perceptions of beauty." Sorry, my perceptions don't feel challenged one bit. I like what I like, and most men like what I like too. Not all, most. But what's her real message? That beauty, fat or otherwise, is--in fact--skin deep? Because the character who trots around with nothing to hide is one of the most despicable, un "beautiful" characters on television today. So which is it? Is she beautiful because she's fat and takes her shirt off? But the same doesn't apply to skinny people? But either way you can be a total jerk and that plays zero role in your projection of "beauty?" Come on!

You are right. They have virtually no leverage. But I stand my assertion that they're entitled to make the request. Gold digger? Yikes. Evidently we diverge in our definition of gold. But I'm sure whatever you do for a living is also limited to 32 billion dollar entities with whom the opportunity exists, so your point of view on the matter, and your life experiences are positively spot on. I want to agree with you, and in spirit, I do. In reality, I'm sure the NFL and its 32 subsidiaries will make the case that their ROI from the marketing department far exceeds what the cheerleaders net. Can the sport exist without both? Absolutely. Is there any question which the league and teams would cut first if given the choice? Heck no.

NFL players get fined if their socks don't pass muster. I don't mind the pervy dress codes because I think it's time Americans decide whether they're afraid of sex or just doesn't like acknowledging a general preference for somethings most people simply don't have. That said, the meager allowance these women get and the pay to play schemes they get wrapped into (see: Deadspin, Ravenettes) at downright scammy. Objectify women all you like and be exclusive as you gotta be in projecting a desired image, just pay them accordingly.

And the Bills had the second best rushing attack in the NFL. If you were to ask a Bills fan off the street how the rush attack was, I DOUBT they'd start gushing. Meanwhile, the Lions scored less than 20 points only three times last year, hung 40 twice, and scored 24 or more in half their games. May be teams had to abandon the run to keep up with Stafford/Megatron/Bush. After all, only three teams faced fewer rushes than Detroit's 377: San Diego (376), Arizona (370) and Carolina (352). The stats very much bear this out since: Their YPC (4.2) was just three notches better than Buffalo's at 20th. And while they saw 36 fewer rushing attempts than Buffalo, they gave up the same number of rushing touchdowns. So, whichever stat ranks their "run defense" as sixth should be tossed out. -
Those who lambast the FO for not having adequate personnel heading into 2013 conveniently overlook that acquisition of Kolb, and fail to mention who else the Bills should have targeted. By the same token, those mystery men that surely must be better play right into the hands of the ludicrous arguments in favor of Tavaris Jackson. When I read about how dumb we were to let him go, I want to make this required viewing for everyone at TBD:

He's obtained full-time residence thanks to an outdated law that generously grants squatters' rights.
