Pettine was a scheme-master. Most of the guys tossed around this thread simply are not. Seattle? San Fran? Those defenses are RIDDLED with talent. We need a guy who can confuse the **** out of QBs like Pettine can. But I haven't the foggiest who that guy is.

Just so we're all clear: the main vein of information coming out of Cleveland, Mary Kay Cabot, whiffed no less than a half dozen times during the Browns coaching search of 2013. IIRC she tweeted that Chip Kelly was locked-in as the Browns HC. I believe she said the same thing about Marrone, too.

And lest we forget that the statistical aberration that really boosts those rankings didn't come until week 16.
