Who said Defense doesn't win Championships

I even miscounted fumbles!! -
Tackling technique is the difference
The Big Cat replied to RuntheDamnBall's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes. Tackling might have been superb, and I'm not saying it wasn't, but no Broncos player spent more than 1.5 seconds without a Seahawk draped all over him. -
Who said Defense doesn't win Championships
The Big Cat replied to mrags's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Two picks, one for 6, two fumbles, a botched snap that goes for a safety and a KR for a score. The greatest offense in history could never overcome the culmination of these things. And they didn't. -
Discussion of The Bills Fan Alliance concept
The Big Cat replied to Kelly the Dog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes. I'm talking about the Bills bars in Chicago, NYC, Boston, DC, Philly, San Fran...all of which can draw hundreds of Bills fans. -
Discussion of The Bills Fan Alliance concept
The Big Cat replied to Kelly the Dog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This plays directly into, and gives reason for my New Years resolution: to write to Russ and Marry Owen, imploring them to do more to activate Bills fans outside WNY and So. Ontario. If it's money they're after, there are legions of non-Buffalonian Bills fans (dare I say more fans living outside the media jurisdiction) who could/would contribute to this. The Bills organization needs to hold up its end of the bargain, though, by providing more direct community outreach programs that take place at the major Bills hubs around the country. I've drafted the first draft of the letter I intend to send, PM me if you'd like to read it. -
EJ knee surgery, Tim Graham questions, draft QB?
The Big Cat replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hardball question!? Personnel decisions are light years from EJ's duties. It'd be like 60 minutes ambushing the Genius Bar for their "hard ball" expose on Apple assembly practices in China. But that's beside the point. See below. How bout not answer. It's not his !@#$ing job. Sticking a recording device in the quarterbacks face doesn't suddenly make him a member of the organization. If he was, may be then somebody would give a rats ass what he thinks the Bills should do with their draft picks. Otherwise his conjecture is no more valuable/less valuable than the endless draft predictions found here. But no. Tim Graham had to do what Tim Graham does and go and act like a prick standing eyeball to eyeball with the one person on the planet who stands to be impacted the most by Timmah's worthless opinion, using his access to project some bull **** message board fodder that ultimately means nothing. He's a sad, angry little man. And we should all pity him. -
EJ knee surgery, Tim Graham questions, draft QB?

Meh, we'll see about the knees. It's nice to know that Tim Graham can't help himself from whiffing terribly at every opportunity to take the high road. -

Tim Graham? No. No agenda there. -
Bills hire Jim Hostler as Senior Offensive Assistant

So who makes it to a Pro Bowl first: TJ Graham or Jonathan Streeter? -
No, had to shut down for the winter while my people repair the helipad.

T. Jackson forgot his time in buffalo
The Big Cat replied to Pills -N- Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Puzzling, yes. But I'm not the hyperbolic poster demanding another persons job over the matter. -
Where the hell am I supposed to put my tenth car?

Yeah, they should have taken Ralph's private jet to 2014 and consulted you first. That lost 7th round pick probably cost us the playoffs. -
Bills hire Jim Hostler as Senior Offensive Assistant

Good thing he hired him to be none of those things. What difference does it make now? -
Schwartz D will be "Attacking" D
The Big Cat replied to Original Byrd Man's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I haven't seen eball round these parts in awhile. I'm sure all his outspoken critiques of the mods finally caught up with him. But he would fully agree that it simply can't be understated how bad Wanny was. Anybody by comparison would have looked like a God. And yes, Pettine did some great things with blitzing DB's that I'm hoping will stay in Schwartz's scheme, but the defense was far far from perfect last year. -
Schwartz D will be "Attacking" D
The Big Cat replied to Original Byrd Man's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not only that, but to assume any NFL DC could/would ever run a scheme as lousy as Wanny's is some sort of depraved wishful thinking. -
Clear? So all his peers and everyone in the industry to have spoken about Marrone are...liars?

Schwartz D will be "Attacking" D
The Big Cat replied to Original Byrd Man's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I didn't mean to suggest that at all. But better your bottom we'll be adding a CB, LB, S and DL by the time FA and draft are over. and at least one of those will be a starter. -
Bills to meet with Rogers Communications
The Big Cat replied to San Jose Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yup. I think for a lot of us, the first sliver of daylight in this regard was the Toronto columnist who wrote as much the Monday after the Falcons debacle. -
Schwartz D will be "Attacking" D
The Big Cat replied to Original Byrd Man's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That's fine. I don't recall fawning over the hire or ensuring myself and others that every time Schwartz breaks wind it'll be innovative. But I understand your point. That said, there was also: Selective memory for every time New England torched Pettine's Jets D's about a year ago just like there was much unrest regarding the run 2013 defense...until Pettine was leaving. Conflicting points of view doesn't necessarily mean one single person touts each side of the hypocrisy himself. But some do. As Bills fans, we're all inherently, stupidly optimistic. What has the team done over the last decade and a half to give us hope, keep us interested or engage us enough to even seek online communities to share thoughts and feelings? Something, apparently. At the same time though, there are no shortage of posters and Bills fans in general who stick to "Bills suck" refrain, and they'll go to great lengths to justify that point of view. Personally, I'm puzzled by these people because I can't wrap my head around the calories they burn for something which apparently brings them no joy. So when I see people preemptively criticizing the FO, the QB, the DC, Russ, Doug, Doug, Ralph, the city of Buffalo for something that exists only in the future/their head, I can't help but detect a pinch of insanity. The world has enough problems. Why invent some more--about a !@#$ing football team no less--and then go the extra mile by sitting behind a keyboard and projecting your hand-wringing madness to anyone who'll listen? So yeah, I'm critical of people who already of their qualms with Schwartz's scheme, which will ultimately be designed for players who aren't even on our team yet. -

Anyone else want to speculate on the new D scheme then criticize the coach based on your speculation? Is it Septwmber yet? -
That's actually a really good question. I wore my Bills cap to somebody's home to watch the Eagles/Saints WC game (everyone there but me was from Philly.) I caught some ****, not shockingly. I feel like the Super Bowl is a whole different ball game (literally). The neutral team colors may not apply like they would, say, to the invalid pile of excrement sitting in front of my wife and me wearing his Jaguars jersey at the Dolphins Bills game in December.
