Except the odds of a ball BOUNCING then breaching any of the three boundaries is so great that it incentivizes the return team to just wait and see what happens, have a guy close by to down it before the kicking team recovers, but playing the odds of the ball rolling to a stop within the boundaries would make kickoffs nearly obsolete.

Oh Hell No. What does it say about me that I can't picture EJ bludgeoning TG to death with that pointy star trophy, Lombardis lining the walls in the background, and not smile? I suppose the poetic justice is just too beautiful.

The Trophy Room, with the Super Bowl MVP.

I like both suggestions, a lot. And I'm going to continue to harp on this one: offensive pass interference should result in a loss of down.

Well this thread makes it pretty clear which posters have actually spent time with homosexuals and those who think they exist somewhere in the shadows. But back to the topic, what !@#$ing sucks about this is that it WILL be an issue and it WILL affect his draft status. Why? Because of the 11 year old gossip queens we call the "media," Those !@#$ing vultures will be camped out at training camp, they'll be trying to weasel a first hand expose of the dating life of a gay NFL player, they'll be EVERYWHERE they need to be to cover the sex life of a 22 year old who's just trying to get his career off the ground And guess what--THAT distraction more so than homophobia, religious bigotry (sorry, calls them likes I see them) or any other clubhouse disruption will be what teams will be looking to avoid...at Sam's expense and at the expense of his professional career. Or not. May be some team will embrace the circus. Either way, !@#$ the media, cover something that matters.

Super Bowl QBs from 2001-Present

Using our ninth pick on the second or third QB picked would be FLAT OUT STUPID. -

Nonsense? Really? It's official, there are two types of Bills fans when it comes to SJ: those who dare mention the childish antics we all bear witness to, and those who completely dismiss them out of hand, flaming the rest of us as uptight heretics with some kind of latent racist axe to grind. Tell me then: how come every other player just put a suit on? Why was it Stevie who had to put on the stupid looking beanie when he talked to the press? And how is this not consistent with everything else fans like me have noticed/grown tired of? -
So do McKelvin, Dareus and Gilmore.

2 x Pro Bowler and an All-Pro. More decorated than any receiver we've had since Moulds. I hope our young guys pick up what he lays down. Or should I say Moore decorated? BOOM!! I WIN THE INTERNET TODAY!! -
Or, as is just as frequently the case, so aggravating.

I don't think anyone would argue that they weren't the worst unit on the team. -

I don't think it's at all far-fetched to think that Hilliard failed at getting the receivers to the tow the line Marrone expected them to. I doubt that's the only reason he was fired, but to dismiss it out of hand is ignoring a couple of key variables that I mentioned already in the Hilliard threads about a month ago: Preseason: there were lots of goofy Vines posted by the receivers groups, culminating with the Slam-Cam that posterized Marrone himself. Now, this one might be a bit of a reach considering Freddy was in on the the Marrone get, but Dougie looked none-to-pleased, and IIRC that level of public silliness ceased, almost immediately after. Stevie: his shenanigans obviously predate the present regime. BUT, anyone else notice that this year all postgame press conferences were conducted in utmost business attire. The only player I saw put a twist on that was Stevie, who, on at least one occasion, thought his Bills beanie was an appropriate accessory to his suit and tie. Call me a fuddy duddy all you !@#$ing like, I really don't care at this point, but it was just another example of Stevie gotta be Stevie. When standards are set for everyone else, and everyone else abides by those standards, Stevie's just gotta do it his way. Don't care if you interpret this the same way I do, the evidence can't be ignored that this mentality--at the very least--exists. Horrendous miscues. Now it's hard to say that when a rookie quarterback or the Thad-equivalent is under center that all blame ought be cast to the other members of the team. But there were times this year when the receivers appeared to be running three different plays. Yowsers. Taunting penalties/game ejection: Stevie got dinged for the first in week two, Woods in week 16. Again, conduct unbecoming of the professionals we assume Marrone prefers. I think all these things are indicative failing to get his players in the head space Marrone wanted. I think the "difference of philosophy" was just that. -

Right. I was really on an island with that. Nobody here agreed with what I saw/had to say. Sure. -

I err'd. It was Buzzfeed, but the principle stands!

I'm not kidding when I say her publicist demanded to Reddit (I believe) that this be taken "off the Internet."

Her publicist still hasn't gotten this "taken off the Internet."

Yeah. I'm guessing OC (like many of us) has suppressed the bizarre, indecipherable Black Eyed Peas debacle from just a few years ago. As far as SB halftimes go, last night's was just fine, IMO.

Tackling technique is the difference
The Big Cat replied to RuntheDamnBall's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agreed. It is not, however, what an excellent scheme looks like. That's how talent plays. But, take it easy on referring to RW as a "star." He's been good, but far from stellar. -

Definitely. Denver had NO ANSWER for the Seattle D. It was pathetic. -
At least we know now how he'd look in a Bills uni.
