  1. I hate those !@#$ing jingles. But they're not as bad as those cripplingly queer (they're meant to be ironic, right?) William C. Robinson roofing commercials.
  2. This is a great time of year for adding some new hits to the Ignore List while also being reminded how some of the Golden Oldies made their way on in years past.
  3. (a) don't have a boss (b) i don't ridicule people for things i make up about them then not have the decency to cite myself. burden's on you, smarty pants.
  4. Except nobody team would do that. Why pay an unnegotiated rate for a player you also had to give up picks/players to acquire?
  5. a.) wtf are you talking about? b.) how you doing finding that link proving the last thing you made up about me?
  6. It was, however, a laughably anti-climactic alert to get, with everything else going on.
  7. Love the 'incompetence' tag. Would love to look over this guy's shoulder while he's tinkering spreadsheets all day.
  8. PER AP ALERT DISCUSS!
  9. Exactly. Vick's inability to play 16 games is entirely irrelevant because no NFL team will ever ask him to do that again.
  10. Vick would be the best QB in Buffalo, period. Goodwin, Graham and ESPECIALLY Spiller would thrive when a threat like Vick has the ball every snap.
  11. Does Byrd lose "importance" in the transition from Pettine to Schwartz?
  12. I wonder if Graham got that from our captains Wood Williams and Jackson. Three homegrown taken care of guys. May be he heard it from SJ. Leodis.
  13. Was planning to make two dealership stops this afternoon, the second to go see about this mystery car. Looked up the full report at the first dealership: totaled in June, rebuilt since then...yeah.
  14. No I don't have the report. I came here to pan handle for one!
  15. Thanks! Well, here's the thing, it's a very aggressively priced 2013. So, I think that eliminates the "changed hands a bunch of times" theory...may be may be not. It also has very very low mileage.
  16. Well, if only well-run organizations win Super Bowls, then the NFL is by and large filled with dysfunctional franchises. What is our definition for well run organizations? And what makes us so sure that we can safely name at least 20 that are run better. THAT'S my point. If you're only basis for "poorly run organization" is our playoff draught, then I countered that with some evidence to suggest that drought hasn't happened in a vacuum, and that the poor drafts of yore, the coaching carousels, the meddlesome ownership, et al are not stand alone contributing factors. Likewise, I have a hard time buying the comparative team to team expertise of anyone who thinks our franchise is alone on misfit franchise island.
  17. Funny you should mention that, since I came here to offer up a little Jim James myself: from the I'm Not There soundtrack, of course. I love the horns, and as with most Dylan covers, prefer it to the original (See: Quinn the Eskimo):
  18. Replied right after watching, may have already come up: this was the intended tone of the song. Lennon was talked into kicking the tempo up to make it more poppy. The evidence is in the SUPER SAD lyrics.
  19. Nothing pisses me off about living in Chicago more than our Jeopardy time: 3 !@#$ing o clock in the afternoon. When I lived in the Eastern zone, it was a 730 ritual.
  20. Just thought I'd ask. Accepted a new job, going to need a car, seeing about a couple today, one is aggressively priced, but has 11 CarFax reports, wanted to save myself the trip without dropping 40.
  21. If Byrd was the highest paid safety in the league, what in GOD'S NAME would Earl Thomas be compelled to ask for!?
