The entire defense played well today...our offense had several penalties and turned the ball over and they still held New England to 23 points. If our young team can clean up there game we would have been the better team today.

He's a backup..he can do some good things. Lacks consistancy. I hate that he is being considered as a starter. Weve has enough of the Losman, Edwards, Holcombe, Fitzpatriack scenario

Lifes not fair..EJ will be our starter sooner or later, the only person that is realistically going to beat him out of that spot is himself. He was a first round draft pick he will be put in as a starter at some point and he will stay there until an injury or they are forces to bench him.

He has shown skills every preseason, just hasnt been able to make the regular season and even when i season was over last year Chan still wouldnt play him over Ruvell Martin.

good post...we showed some good things but some sloppy plays which is what you can expect from the first preseason game. Kolbs injury may be a blessing, allowing our youngsters to get a better feel for the NFL

Its not so much our front offices lack of making quality offers and attempting to retain players...its more the fact that players dont want to be in Buffalo. The city doesnt have much to offer and the organization is the bottom of the barrel. they Franchised Byrd...giving him an average salary of the top payed players at his positon and he still wants more....levitres contract was very hefty...he was a good reliable guard but he wasnt a complete stud. Are we better off without him? no but there are more important players then a LG to spend big money on.

Its practice, players get ass chewings from coaches. This particular ass chewing went towards a position of uncertainty whch the media ate up. Dont drink the koolaid on it, all players get ass chewings Marrone is not bringing any players flowers at practice.

I say our pass rush is muh improved under Pettine...which will make Gilmore one of the top corners in the league

when the running game is going well use play action and hope a safety bites as you send these guys long. I don't believe Kolb has the arm to really utilize down field receivers although he has to be an improvement over Fitz. You most likely wont see the field stretched that much until EJ is the full time starter

Just reading between the lines but drafting two safeties with Dukes and Meeks and having Williams move to safety pretty much indicates that the front office is planning on his departure. With Parker as his agent any negotiating is pretty much off the table. I may be wrong and I'm hoping i am but that's a big contract for a safety while he is very good he is not Polomalu or Ed Reed.

Marrone could have meant that Da'Rick was suppose to let the ball deflect off his hands so the defense could pick it off....That sounds like playing like a Buffalo Bill to me

If Pettine can generate a pass rush, unlike the ineptitude of Wanny it will greatly improve how well this group plays.
