  1. Josh is going to remind this clown why he is an MVP candidate, and it isn't going to be because of his legs. It'll be because of his arm.
  2. I don't know. Watching Allen and the offense in that last preseason game, it looked like the whole offense was clicking. Plus, many of these guys were in the AFC championship game last year. I think these guys are about to open up a can of whoop ass. I think they are super focused and getting the crowd noise back is going to a huge benefit. Just don't see them letting the hyped up crowd faze them negatively.
  3. Good point. I've been wondering if a trade is coming. Training camps often have injuries. Wouldn't at all be surprised. Also, the way Beane stockpiles certain positions like DE and OT, almost seems like he planned it that way.
  4. I think it's much simpler than folks think. There is an abundance of DE. Some of them can play DT and the ability to play multiple positions is valuable to the coaches. There will be competition. Someone will be cut because someone else is better. Simple.
  5. From what I understand, they actually changed the blocking scheme because Zack was not patient enough. Singletary on the other hand was great at waiting for his blockers. Zach came from a system where he would hit the hole quickly. Singletary came from a system where the play took longer for the hole to open up. Now, I think the team is experimenting with different blocking schemes and I think that they will figure some things out. Last year was a mess because people on the OL were moving around, injuries, and they simply didn't have enough time to get the run game going. That will be addressed this year and I believe all of the RBs will benefit from that. The offense is still going to be a predominantly pass heavy, but the coaches have made clear that the run game needs to be more effective.
  6. I see the running game being much more productive. Offensive line cures last year's ills and Singletary busts out. He's only a dark horse because so many think he'll lose his starting job. Actually, I think all three running backs are going to tear it up with the OL settling into a groove. We score fast, then run the clock out. Coaches are intent on making the run game more effective.
  7. Cars can have crap attitudes. I can attest to that. BTW, ever read the book Christine or watched the movie?
  8. Welp, there goes Jones' career.
  9. If he's so awful, why has he gone to two probowls?
  10. The amount of negativity toward Tremaine is baffling. The coaches are high on him. He has been to two probowls. He's still very young and still improving his craft. Yes, he took a step back, coming back from a significant injury, but the negative Nancy's are getting kind of annoying. This young man is just getting warmed up in this league and like the coach has said, his best play is ahead of him. I have absolutely no reason to doubt that. None.
  11. I think Beane would be all to happy to trade one or two veteran DEs. We have a stockpile of them. I also think he'd love to trade away an OLman. Not sure anyone is interested, but we have a lot of players at premium positions. QB included. Seems to me someone will be desperate enough by the time training camp starts to heat up and someone goes down with an injury. I think Beane has been purposefully stockpiling, biding his time, and waiting for some desperate team to come along and over pay for someone he never intended to keep in the first place. What he isn't going to do is over pay for a Chandler Jones.
  12. I must be confusing him with someone else, haha. The Bills picked up someone in the draft a couple of years ago with ridiculous numbers sacking the QB. Thought it was Harrison.
  13. I remember his first season. He was not a 1T coming out of college but the coach needed someone to sub for Star. Harrison was the guy who stood out the most as a viable replacement when Star needed to rest. You are right that coming out of college he most definitely was not a 1T, but he has proven to be pretty damn good at the position. Now that he's healthy, he may very well prove to be better than Star and take the starting position. I found it really odd that the coach wanted Harrison to play the 1T to begin with. In college he had some sick numbers getting after the passer. The more I think about it though, watching us draft two DEs back to back in this years draft, drafting Ed Oliver and having something like 10 DEs on this team, it is becoming clear that the coach values pass rushers over run stuffers. I'm beginning to think that this team is looking for speed on the DLine rather than size/power. More of a NASCAR type defense where the front four are all getting after the passer. It's clear now that Harrison is valued not just to take on two blockers, but because he is one more person on that line that can drop a QB for a loss. It makes it difficult for an OL to choose who to double block. Star is useful simply by being big and powerful, eating double the blockers. Harrison is useful because he can also eat blockers and he can also shoot the gap and sack the QB.
  14. Wonder how many of those caught passes last year were of Diggs freelancing and bailing Allen out. Would wager that many of them weren't "by the book".
  15. I want to talk about OTAs, not vaccines.☹️
  16. There is always a chance that the front office might trade away someone in order to pick up someone that could improve the team. It's not entirely out of the realm of possibilities. Won't necessarily be a DT for a DT, though.
  17. No way. No chance would I make that trade. Coaches either. I still want to see how this plays out.
  18. This just goes from one play to the next, cutting out the commentary from game announcers. But man there are a hell of a lot of plays in this. Loved it! Some real magic trick plays and some pretty ugly ones too. Truly amazing how many big plays there were last year.
  19. I think the bigger concern for Kansas City is depth on that OL. A couple of injuries could lead to a train wreck for them.
  20. This is Wades 3rd year on the team. He's had lots of time to learn the position and I do believe this is the year the coaches give him a legitimate shot to make the roster. I think his first 2yrs here the coaches simply wanted time to mold him into a RB. Big difference between rugby and football. But it will be interesting to see if he makes it. The kid certainly has big play ability and this team could use that. Would be an incredible story too.
  21. Jerry Rice at one point had a world class hurdler opposite him on the 49ers named Renaldo Nehemiah. He had something like 750yds in three seasons and 4 TDs. That didn't really pan out either.
  22. Good post. The run game is as much a team effort as passing. Last year the pass game took off like a rocket because there was a major effort to make it so. I really believe the Bills will solve the rushing issues by simply practicing more. Of course, adding to the depth on the OL will help too. People who are down on Singletary really don't WTF they are talking about. The kid is good. Real good.
  23. And by the time we made it to the playoffs all our our receivers looked like they needed crutches to hop around on.
