  1. Make no mistake, here. Peters is an incredibly gifted athlete. From reports last year, when he ended his holdout, he was working hard. OK, him making the pro Bowl last year was dumb, but the fact remains that he is one very dominating football player. I'd like to see him rushing the passer myself. Do you remember his rookie year when he simply crashed through the line, blocked a punt, recovered the ball and scored a touchdown in one play? This man is a force. I think young people often let thier heads grow larger than thier bodies and Jason Peters just needs to come down to earth and get back to work. His head is in the clouds. He'll come around. Yea, it's possible he'll hold out for too much and try to hold the Bill's hostage. Fortunately, his leverage is not that great right now and he will have to realize that. To me it is less of a numbers thing and more of a character thing now. If things work out we get a great LT. If not, then Peters will become the biggest loser.
  2. Insiteful, but I think that holding out when you still have 3 years on a contract is very foolish. I think a contract will happen but it had damn well better be very heavy on incentives otherwise he doesn't get paid the big bucks. No way would I give that much guarenteed money away.
  3. Because he is still obligated by the contract he signed. They are trying to negotiate but he wants to be the highest paid LT in the whole NFL. As a businessman I would have a problem with his demands too...especially after his long hold-out last year and poor performance.
  4. You don't get out much do you?
  5. Ever heard of Parishville? That's where I'm from.
  6. Ok.....He screwed himself. Remember how well he has played? Give him some time to get his **it together. He is young and dumb just like a lot of us used to be. I think he'll bounce back. As for his contract....perhaps he is beginning to see just how lucky he really is to be there. I think he's descovering that you have earn your money...a concept young people nowadays tend to have trouble understanding. He'll come around.
  7. not if the clock's hands are missing
  8. Whatever that attacking style is......thats what I want. You use what works and they found something in the forth quarter there. I'm pretty sure they will be putting up some good numbers with Turk calling the shots.....seems to know how to get things done.
  9. Pyrite Gal, you bring up some good points. However, the kind of pressure the Bills put on Hasselbeck last week was absolutely amazing. The Bills defensive front have a couple of proven Pro Bowlers as well in Stroud and Schoebel. Not to take anything away from the Titans. They look strong. I am just looking at the way we match up against Jacksonville. If the Titans can achieve seven sacks against them, so can we. If Jacksonville continues to struggle stopping the run....we will dominate. Throw in a couple of passes and some decent special teams play, and Jacksonvile is going down hard. Nope, I am confident. Mark it down......Bills win by no less than 10 points.
  10. 33 total rushing yards? Man that is just plain bad.............reeling I tell ya.
  11. Did you know that the Titans sacked Gerrard 7 times? Thier offensive line is hurting big time. They are struggling to stop the run too....not terrible but not good either. They actually have a pretty good special teams....kind of reminds me of the Bills a couple of seasons ago. They are going down hard next week. They are reeling and thier heads are going to be spinning even faster when we get done with them next week.
  12. These guys are in for a tough game next week as well. I think we are going to destroy this team next week. They are a mess.
  13. Buffalo's offense doesn't surprise anyone as Trent runs for his life, but the defense keeps giving him more chances. 23 Buffalo 12 Seattle
  14. Talk is good. Now they have to back it up......or look stupid on game day.
  15. Mediocre my a$$. Do you even watch football?
  16. LOL.........I'd move 'em to Toronto.
  17. I keeel yoouu! LOL
  18. BTW Ramius, your research is appreciated and I happen to think that your drawn conclusions were well thought out and fairly accurate. At least as accurate as you can gleen from "statistics" anyway.
  19. What ego? He's obviously an overly uptight teenager and mommy just yelled at him and sent him to his room.
  20. Man, who cares about 2000-2005. This is 2008 and what is important now is what we intend to do with what we have now for talent.
  21. That is some serious power. Just hope this translates into a football career. I'm also a veteran and love rooting for an under dog like this. If he is anyhing like Sam Gash, he'll make overly aggressive linebackers pay with pain.
  22. Here's another interesting read: http://www.recordonline.com/apps/pbcs.dll/...PORTS/708130341
  23. He may be a great to have in goal line situations.
  24. Here is some info reguarding the guy. http://www.goarmysports.com/ViewArticle.db...p;Q_SEASON=2007 http://www.nypost.com/seven/09192007/sport...eld_general.htm He was a wrestler!!! http://www.chatshoppe.com/berwickwrestling.../honor_viti.htm http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/profile.php?pyid=72937 I don't know that he will make it in the NFL, but this is one very serious athlete. I have a hunch the kid is going raise a few eyebrows at the very least.
