  1. He's only played RG in his career. He's also 32.
  2. I think the Bills best not acquire QBs via free agency or trade. They were successful once in 1962 picking Kemp up for $100 and for a short time with Flutie. But aside from those guys the list of dogs is astounding.... Stepehenson,Sherman, Taliferro, Ferragamo, Dufek, Morrison, BillyBob Hobert, Johnson, Bledsuck, Fitztragic, Jackson... a total parade of losers. They've not done well in the draft either. Darrah, Harris, Shaw, Besana, Manucci, Marangi, Kofler, McClure, Collins, Losman, Edwards.... they hit paydirt with Lamonica but traded him, Fergy was a 3rd rounder they did well with, Kelly and Reich they hit on, but for some reason (probably incompetence) they can't seem to get right.
  3. might want to do a recount on offense. There are at least 5 positions on offense that will see new starters... QB, FB or H Back WR TE - Chandler won't make it back before midseason and I regard him as backup.... he's not a downfield threat LG
  4. The big question.... Is he open when he's covered? If the answer is yes, then why is he on the open market?
  5. How do we know that Ralph wasn't behind Fitz contract? Chain of command.... and Ralph has no problem with his boys taking bullets for him. Ralph was the one who got a woody over Rob Johnson... not Butler... and when Johnson was inserted into the starting lineup for the playoff game against the Titans, according to Marcellus Wiley, it was Ralph that gace the edict for him to start. I ain't gonna defend Buddy for any of his moves. But, I do know Buddy is not fond of QBs with a weenie arm and recognizes that you must have a gun to throw in Buffalo weather. He was brought here to be a backup. So, how many personnel gaffes might really have Ralph's fingerprints on them? Like maybe Mario?
  6. That wasn't a whine, that's a pretty accurate description of Mario in coverage. Is it possible you kiss my ass?
  7. Hmmm.. a 290 Bullrusher DE that played only 5 games at OLB. There's about 60 TEs and RBs and a lot of QBs that would love that matchup.
  8. Average. Just a dude to plug ino a position of need. Hope he ain't getting much $$$
  9. We get that. The big issue is not having their ass covered knowing full well they were gping to dump him. Right now they dont have a better option. Evrryone knows they need a qb so the price goes up for them now both in contract and trade value. If they dont take a qb at 8 teams know they have to do something in 2 or 3 at qb. Teams looking for a developmental qb can jump in front of the bills to gey their guy. The bills could end up drafting a qb that really wasnt the one they wanted just because its a position of dire need. If they dont draft a qb then jax is the man. Either way they are in tank mode. They are willing to give up this season if they beleive it will put them in a better competetive position 2-3 years from now.
  10. Well, if that's your taste test then its game on now. You're looking at at least 9 new starters on both sides of the ball including a rookie qb in a year said to be bad for qbs (fa and rookie) . Take a look at this roster. It might beable to split with jets, but its going to crushed by the pats and fins. That's 5 losses right there. No way they win more than 3 of the other 10 games.
  11. There's no restoring faith, certainly not between now and the season opener. We were told that we have the talent and bringing in just a few pieces and a new coaching staff to be relevant. Well, that turned out to be a lie. We now will have 5 new starters on offense on opening Sunday, one of which will be a rookie qb. The defense, regardless of lip service will be a 3-4. There will be between 4-6 new starters, or at least players switching to positions they haven't played a lot. Bills are waiting a few days to let the dust settle to pick up serviceable vets... as are the Pats. If you're a free agent looking for work, where do you want to play... on a team with no defined QB and a no shot at a ring, or the opposite? I won't say that their strategy won't ultimately work out three to four years from now, but the FO could and should have been up front with the fans and let us know this was a total rebuild.
  12. So I'm scoping the roster. I know we have a s#it defense that needs overhauling. But I thought the offense was not too bad. So I'm going down the list of offensive starters. I'm certain you start 11 guys. I'm counting 5 new starters on offense. That's one injury short of more than half the offense. Tank mode? Oh yeah. Filling a few holes for Johnny Football.
  13. Polian says Jax is a backup in this league and that the Bills starting QB is not on their roster right now.
  14. So... we gonna make the playoffs next year or are we going to be selecting in the top 5 in 2014?
  15. Doomed? Nah. I'm thinking more like full rebuild mode. Got no QB, no #1 wr, no LG, no TE. Aint no RG3 or Luck that I can see. No matter the rookie qb, he's gonna have a rough ride and right now it's looking more like a top 5 pick season than a playoff season. Spiller has 2013 amd 2014 left on his contract. He must be thinking whst the phuck did I do to deserve this. And, what must Stevie be thinking right now?
  16. Bills are about 22 players short of a training camp roster. With only 6 pix in the draft, that leaves 16 players to fill those slots for TC. Doesn't look like they're filling anything or much from nfl FA and their only tradeable assets are Spiller, Kyle, & Byrd if you consider contracts, looks like we're gonna see a warehouse full of rookie free agents. Don't worry about season tix sales being down though... Russ is already mixing up a new batch of koolaid that will be sure to bring those sales up a notch.
  17. Damn... I gotta say... the money this class of FA is getting is ridiculous. Can't blame the bills for not being a player... especially after the Mario and Anderson debacle of one year ago. We can only hope that if they really do have in excess of $20 m in cap space, they figure out who their core is and lock em up before FA next year.
  18. What position do you play him at? And, what is the point of bringing him in on a team that's in total rebuild. If anything, a mature team like the Pats would be a better fit... a team that has weapons and can mask and conceal his weaknesses.
  19. No way he falls to rd. 3. He was 6-1 over his last 7 games with 15 tds and 2 pix and 1 rushing td. I was totally shocked the bills would cut fitz. I thought for sure they'd start the season with him and phase him out by seasons end. That move tells me they're grabbing a qb in rd. 1 or 2 and starting him right away. That means they need a qb they know and trust in the draft. Who do you suppose that might be? Since they are total rebuild mode they can let the kid hang himself or show he's the man. No one's gonna care with the season in the tank anyway. The result of that will determine if they draft a qb early on the 2014 draft.
  20. No argument. They've laid their cards on the table, face up. My guess is they'll trade out of #8 and maybe more than once. At this point it aint making sense to get a contract done with Byrd if they're resolved to a total rebuild. How many games will they win? 3, maybe 4?
  21. Buddy wants pix,,,, not giving any up
  22. Definitiely... the Bills will scoop his arse up. They do not have a bonafide nose tackle and they definitely need one. He's a little on the light side for me at 325lb. but he knows the system and has acouple of years starting under his belt.
  23. Two things... 1) Someone is in serious, I mean serious, legal trouble for setting the thing up and recording the conversation. 2) Not new news... we know Buddy is done. But, it may be sooner than we think .... like before training camp.
  24. Well, grab a pallet load of snickers and get used to reality because he's gonna be in a Bills uni for a while.
