The “we were missing...” part of this post is pathetic. The Titans were missing more key players than we were.

They can compete with them, they just can’t beat them.

If this is Allen on a bad night, I’ll take it. The first pick was a bad drop by a WR who never should have been on the field, and there were about 4 other bad drops after that, including a horrible one by Knox on a play that would have gone for 25 yards. (When is this guy going to stop killing the Bills with easy drops at the worst possible times?) On the first TD drive Allen converted about six third-and-longs and made an insane throw to Davis for a TD that was brought back because someone wasn’t set. After that, they were playing from behind with no credible running threat and a Bills defense that demanded he score a TD every possession.

I mean, was the o-line really the problem? Josh had plenty of time to throw, for the most part...

Motor is a change of pace back. He’s got a role in this league but there’s no way he’s a featured back. Moss just looks too slow and appears to have been overdrafted.

We don’t have single running back that you would want to give the ball to on 3rd and 1. Other teams have two or three and they did use a bunch of high draft picks to find them.

In a league where really good running backs can be found on the street corner, it is inexcusable for a team that has used premium picks on the position in the last two drafts to have such a thoroughly mediocre (probably too kind a word) running attack.

Let’s face it: Even though the Bills have improved under McBeane, they have drafted poorly and it’s starting to show. Other than JA and Tre White, they have whiffed on all of their premium picks over the past three seasons. Oliver, Edwards, Epenesa, Ford...None of these guys are playing anywhere near their draft level, and these past few drafts have been loaded with big time players in the first two rounds. Josh’s progress and some good free agent pickups have hidden the problem, but this is suddenly a team without much talent on defense, despite using a ton of draft capital on that side of the ball. I mean, they didn’t even come close to sacking Tannehill tonight. This is not going to be an easy fix.

Maybe we still have Tallywacker’s number...

Different Bills team. These guys aren’t going to fall apart when something goes wrong. And more third and long conversions in that one drive than we had all last season.

That seems low, but I think It depends where on the field you are attempting it. I don't know exactly what the conversion rate is, but I'm sure it's significantly higher on 4th and 1 from the 20 than fourth and goal from the 1. Also, it goes up if you only need 1 foot instead of a full yard.
