I guess it depends whether there is a QB you like at 2. Sure, if you love Fields or Wilson, then that’s the way to go. I kinda doubt that’s the case though.

I don’t believe in Darnold, and never have, but this is what I’d do too. I’d give Darnold one more year, and would not pick up the fifth year option.

It is inconceivable to me that any team would give up more than a fifth round pick for Wentz. He was literally the worst QB in the league last year. Let’s hope he’s traded to the AFCE...

Josh has 10 times the natural ability Darnold has. Darnold’s “tools” have always been massively oversold. He’s not even close to having one elite trait. The two just can’t be compared.

They never got far in the playoffs, and now they are in limbo, with no QB. I don’t think that trade worked, although it’s not Mack’s fault. So far it hasn’t really panned out for the Raiders either.

Yeah, Wentz has negative trade value. Not sure about the second part; Falcons are in teardown mode, aren’t they? Why not roll with a rookie in 2021? But Ryan definitely has trade value, although hard to say how much.

Dumping multiple first round picks for 1 guy is a bad strategy and it almost never works out for teams that do it. I believe the Rams may be headed for a Texans-level franchise meltdown in 2022 when they wake up and realize they mortgaged the future for a barely above average QB on his last legs... Trading one first rounder for a star player, like Indy and Buffalo did last year, is much more defensible, although both SF and Minn hit big on the picks they got in those trades.

You missed the point. Milano’s a really good player but his body just isn’t going to hold up for many more seasons. I hope we re-sign him.

He should try to get as much as he can because this will be the last contract he gets...
