You realize we’re talking about at least two extra first round picks, plus other premium picks, for a team with a depleted roster, right? I doubt any of them will be scarred by the experience, and most of these Pats players won’t be with the team past this week anyway.

The first pick in this draft is huge. Cam Ward is far and away the top player and the Pats can reap an enormous haul for the first overall pick. The value of the third or fourth pick will be MUCH less. The Pats should be doing everything in their power to lose, and it seems they are.
