  1. Sorry, I just can’t get behind that.
  2. I watched the game last night. The Bengals’ defense played very well on the road against a playoff team. They also plated well against Denver last week. I understand that they had some bad games early in the season. They appear to be playing much better now. Not sure why you want to argue that point. How would that constitute “screwing over” the Bills? Edit: now I see what you were talking about.
  3. Ross Tucker wrote a story about this, using as an example one of the Bills teams he played on. He said there were multiple players who had no interest in playing another game after the end of the regular season. I suspect that’s even more true now, when the playoff checks are pretty inconsequential for a lot of guys. Fans are obsessed with their team making the post season, but players sometimes don’t feel the same way.
  4. I think it’s entirely possible that Miami doesn’t care…it’s also entirely possible that McDaniel is fired if they lose and don’t make it.
  5. Didn’t look like one last night, or during the last five games in a row that they’ve won.
  6. Agreed. The Bengals’ defense is not nearly as bad as it’s made out to be. People said the same thing about the Ravens’ D…
  7. Because the idea that the Browns are trading Garrett is absurd… Like asking what Josh Allen would be worth in trade. These threads pop up all the time and are just silly.
  8. Stop. Please
  9. I understand the point, but I also think the Chargers have a better chance of beating the Ravens than the Steelers do.
  10. This is exactly the point I was trying to make...anyone can knock a guy down by hitting him from the blindside while he's engaged with two other blockers. It's not particularly dangerous or even against the rules, but it's certainly not a play worthy of praise from a guy like Baldinger, whom I like a lot. Despite the recent rule changes, pro football remains an extremely hazardous sport (check out the injury reports around the league if you think otherwise) and, IMO, plays like this are wholly "unnecessary".
  11. No. Lose, and they play in Baltimore next week. Win, and they go to Houston.
  12. Again, I never said it was illegal, although you could convince me that it was, under modern NFL rules. Dawkins blindsided a guy who was already engaged with not one, but two, other blockers, away from the ball. In any event, it was hardly a play to be celebrated.
  13. Ravens now 20-point favorites v. Browns...I can't ever remember a line like that in an NFL game...
  14. I didn’t say it was illegal…but it was a cheap shot. The defender was engaged with two other blockers and Dawkins blindsided him. Kinda the definition of a cheap shot…certainly nothing to be proud of.
  15. Looked like kind of a cheap shot to me…I know Dion hates the Jets…
  16. Huntley played very well against the Browns…I’m surprised Miami is only favored by 1.5…
  17. On DraftKings right now, a $10 bet on a Bengals, Jets, Chiefs moneyline parlay would pay $183. Those are pretty long odds. I took the bet, just so I could feel better if Cinci pulls it off.
  18. He was probably just rooting for a competitive game… nothing wrong with that.
  19. Boise State might win this game…they want it more.
