  1. I know, that's all I see when I watch that replay. Block in the back, half the distance to the goal. First down.
  2. Don't forget...Get 'er done, TD! To be said whenever...well, you know.
  3. If Gandy plays well enough at LT this year, I think Preston gets his shot at C and Teague is gone.
  4. Hey, I remember the dark times as well as the next guy. But it's not like J-ville is a bad team...they barely missed the playoffs last year, optimism for the team is high, and they still can't sell out the season opener in time? Bah. Besides, this day and age is very different from the late 70s. With teams always looking to make the most money possible, you gotta show a lot of support for the team. I wouldn't want to make that the sole criteria for keeping a team either, but hey, the NFL is a much different business nowadays...
  5. Forget New Orleans for a second...what about Jacksonville? Criminy, the home opener this weekend is likely to be blacked out. WTF? How does this city deserve a franchise?
  6. Hadn't seen or heard anything about that...
  7. Hold your tongue, young man.
  8. Wow, Dorenbos is gone. What a shame. A great story, and the guy was an incredible long snapper. I really think his wicked fast snaps gave Moorman a distinct advantage. Hopefully this other guy is just as good. He must somehow provide a little more bang for the buck, although I'm not sure just how.
  9. Interesting. Kinda surprised they couldn't tell that from the preliminary look.
  10. I have no idea where that article came from. Maybe Sully is feeling a little under the weather?
  11. Yeah, well, if you believe everyone here, the Bills won't get even a sniff of the playoffs this year, so at the end of the season you'll be kicking yourself for spending all that time watching a bunch of losers instead of your own flesh and blood. How's that?
  12. Wonder if Ritzmann will be elevated to the regular roster once Roscoe comes back (and one of the other WRs is dropped), whereupon Gause will get signed to the PS...
  13. Same reason people can't criticize Michael Moore without screaming something about obesity.
  14. Absolutely. I replayed it on Tivo in slow mo and it was not just clearly a forward lateral, it was so ridiculously forward I can't believe nobody asked for it to be reviewed. But you're right, it didn't matter; the guy could have scored on his own anyway.
  15. And you're doing what to help?
  16. Good point, I guess. Hope those guys will still be available.
  17. I just can't figure this one out. Anyone?
  18. Did you know...? - Will Smith was the first choice for the role of "Neo" in "The Matrix"? Leonardo DiCaprio and Ewan MacGregor both turned down the role as well before Keanu got the part. - Warren Beatty was the first choice for Michael Corleone in "The Godfather"? Jack Nicholson, Dustin Hoffman, Ryan O'Neal, and Robert Redford were also offered the part ahead of Al Pacino. - Warren Beatty was also the first choice for Bill in "Kill Bill"? Yikes.
  19. Thanks for what you do...now kick some ass and get home safe.
  20. Somehow this is Clinton's fault. I know it.
  21. Interesting...maybe cities should bid for becoming the host city for the Hornets for the next season, and the winner's funds get put towards rebuilding New Orleans.
  22. Nah, but it makes for a good sound bite.
  23. For those interested, my hospital is trying to arrange for this kind of thing as well. The official memo started out like this: So, the idea is that the federal goverment is setting up medical shelters, most likely in safer areas, and presumably with adequate protection. I'm thinking about it as well, although I'm not an ER-type doc. I think it would be fine, personally.
  24. Gack! You're right. I'm doubly glad I wasn't planning on going this year.
  25. Ack...DC was such a lousy place to have that conference. I hope I don't have to go back there again. It's a huge conference, though...can't imagine what they're going to do at this point. But as mentioned, they do have some experience from previous years...
