This is probably the best thing that can happen to a Bills fan, get stuck 20,000 leagues under the sea without any knowledge of the season at hand. After the carnage is finished you can then come up, without any knowledge of what really happened. The offseason's usually more exciting in Buffalo anyway.

Well put. A job's a job, but we all have someone depending on us, be it your customers, co-workers, or family. People shouldn't become complacent. And if he just views his job as "just a game", dead brother or not, then perhaps he should time some time off. Go on the IR for the rest of the season. His salary's guaranteed for the season.

I think Fitz earned the FO's patience when he went out last year and blew every defense up. He earned the benefit of the doubt to start this year and to show his colors. Unfortunately, he has just proved those games to be a fluke. He has proven he is not a franchise QB. Now we can move on.

I agree. I really can't blame Nix/Whaley. This team has the right personnel, except for QB. This defense is very talented and I know they can do better. Top 10 probably. They just aren't performing up to their potential. If we want to blame Nix for something, we can definitely blame him for hiring Gailey. I don't even know if we can blame him for Fitz though. We don't know what is going on behind the scenes in regards to Fitz, but if during the offseason Gailey was dead set on believing he can win right now with Fitz, do you go against your HC and go out and spend a first rounder on a QB? We had other needs and Fitz still had yet to prove he wasn't the man for the job. Or, perhaps Nix is the one forcing Fitz on Gailey? We don't know this one. But I believe there comes a time when a GM has to go against his HC's wishes and gets him a new QB, which will likely come this offseason.

I say the Bills go shopping again and start pilfering other team's practice squads. Look for some players that could possible be players one day. Nix has done it before and we really don't have much to lose. In fact, I would say we would have much to gain (geno).

I'm all for playing are unknowns now. Too bad Ron Brooks is injured. Now would be a great time to throw him in. I would also start cherry picking other team's practice squads. Perhaps they are developing a QB we can snatch up, in addition to the QB we will be drafting next year.

Bills certainly do lead the league in touchdowns. Touchdowns allowed.

The problem is our defense has talented players on it. We know they can play better than this. Their shortcomings are fixable. The same can't be said for Fitz. He just doesn't have the talent. He can't get any better. What we see is what we get.

True. There were other QBs available at the time that could have helped that team win, but they didn't go after them. They likely could have had Palmer and even Kerry Collins was better. They took the low road and were rewarded greatly. And I really wouldn't complain if they did the same. Play T Jackson, but I think this would destroy the team's relationship with Fitz, who I would like to have around as a back-up and a mentor.

I don't see Buddy giving up 4 draft picks to move up to get an elite QB, unless Ralph demands it. And we may not have to. If we pick the right person, a mid-late 1st round QB may be all we need. It may be too early to tell, but Pounder, Flacco, and Dalton don't look too bad. Cam Newton on the other hand... Who knows. Then there are crap top-10 picks like Sanchez. Jury is still out with Gabbert and Locker. We likely don't even know the draft order of the college QBs right now, nor will we know it after the college season ends. Between the end of the college season and the draft very strange things begin to happen. It's like the GMs start panicking and players you would never have thought were 1st rounders shoot right up the board.
