  1. I think there's a bit of politics involved in regards to who beats who during preseason, especially in regards to the QB position. Who knows if it was even a fair contest. Trent supposedly beat out Fitzpatrick during preseason 2 years ago and we all know how that worked out.
  2. Kostner is a retread himself, so this is all very fitting. This thread is full of all sorts of win already!
  3. I say pick up one of these young QBs (Yeats) in addition to drafting one in the first round. If by this time next year the Bills aren't trying to develop 2 young QBs, then something is definitely wrong. The Bills should have been grooming a young QB - maybe not first round talent - for the last 2-3 years, but haven't. Why do all these teams with decent QBs also have a young developing QB? Because their GMs are smart. Nix dropped the ball on this one.
  4. In terms of QBs, crazy things begin happening in the 1-2 months leading up to the draft. It's a time when all prior accomplishments (or, rather, lack of) during their college careers are thrown out and a whole bunch of turd polishing begins. QBs you never believed would be 1st round draft picks suddenly begin to be discussed as top 5 picks. My point is, if we don't grab one early on (in the first round), there will be some run of QBs picked sometime after our 1st pick and we'll be left with no one to pick from in the 2nd.
  5. Look at all that art he has in his studio. It must've taken up a lot of his time. For a minute there I forgot that he also plays football too.
  6. This is a perfect set-up for Arizona to destroy another one of our QBs. Problem is, even with 4 QBs on our roster, do we really have a 2nd string back-up?
  7. I like what the Skins did in last years draft; picked up a QB with their first pick and another later in the draft. A team should always have a QB in development, no matter who their starter is. It's just good planning. If we had done so, we likely wouldn't be in such a horrible position now.
  8. If he finds us a franchise QB, I'm all for it. Get er done Kevin!
  9. Vick wouldn't be an upgrade over Fitz. If anything, this would just be a lateral move. Plus, unlike now, we would be required to have a decent back-up QB for when Vick's injured. People need to start realizing Vick is never going to carry a team deep into the playoffs.
  10. What would you guys rather do: tank the rest of the season or trade away 4 consecutive 1st round draft picks to move up to get Geno?
  11. Or this is telling us that when Fitz is given the chance to actually think, he is less accurate and/or makes poor choices.
  12. This news is OK. It's not like he was making a difference anyhow. Either plug in Kyle Moore or bring back Robert Eddins. Youth movement is needed at this point.
  13. While I think this post is fantastic, it's applicability to the Bills is limited. We do not how many of these failed QBs would have faired on the Buffalo Bills. While not likely, perhaps Gailey could have better developed some of these QBs or perhaps they could have faired better under our system. In addition, there are some QBs we could have drafted had they not been snatched up to ride the pine by other teams. Mallet and Kaepernick come to mind. These two will likely never get a chance to start on their respective teams, likely stunting any potential development. We'll never know how these guys would have faired on our team.
  14. A corollary to this is that the opposing team's offense can't score points as long as our team's offense is on the field. The longer our offensive drives are, the less the opposing team's offense will see the field. So, I agree, a great offense can definitely lead to less points scored by our opponents.
  15. I think drafting 2 QBs increases are likelihood of finding a franchise QB over trading away our whole draft for 1. We may not end up with a top 5 pick, but there are plenty of excellent QBs to be had in the other parts of the first round. Flacco, Dalton (I know, technically a 2nd rounder, but still), Rodgers don't look too bad. Plus, there are a bunch of top 5 QBs that never pan out. It's a crap shoot, but if we get one somewhere in the first round plus another in the 3rd, we'll be fine.
  16. Good stuff here: http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/102923-reggie-wells-israel-idonije/
  17. His silence speaks volumes. Really, what is he supposed to say "na na na na na, I told you so!" Sure, he's a professional complainer, but he has mostly been correct.
  18. That reaction sounds a bit over the top. The whole locker room started screaming? Geez, I wouldn't have wanted to be Rob Johnson at that point. Anyhow, ironically, he did enough to win that game. I always wonder what would have happened next if we did win that game.
  19. I actually haven't seen either team play, but know they both blow. Either way, I see you really didn't take issue with my other statement, that the Bills will likely win 2 more games max.
  20. No, I think he meant he wasn't going to dress. Just be buck naked out there.
  21. Here's the last sighting: http://blogs.buffalonews.com/press-coverage/2012/08/ralph-wilson-makes-hall-of-fame-appearance.html Looks like he's wonder if that new wetness is sweat or urine.
  22. I see about 2 wins in there max. Seattle and Jacksonville. TN will be a nail biter.
  23. From Wiki: Looks like a winner in my book. Sign him up Buddy!
  24. Have people seen him lately? Does he look like a man who has the Toronto deal on his mind?
  25. A simple Wikipedia read will remedy that. It's a great, apt name for them.
