  1. LMAO... hurt feelers.. I loved that photo... cracked me up.. how many games has Stevie missed in his career ?
  2. I guess my next question is which teams did better in run defense ? http://www.footballo...m/stats/teamdef (***Having some trouble with the info on the link I posted as they use 2011 weighted data vs 2012 non weighted data, and I am not 100% sure what is what***) Only 1 teams in the top 10 were not in the top half (16) of the rushing D HOWEVER, the top 10 Pass D teams were in non sequential order the top 10 D teams which supports your point well I figure your are trying to make an argument on what works best for a team defense, a pass rush or a top D Backfield, but how does it affect Run D if a team is heavy on the DL/LB or DB's. We can debate all day on what is better against the pass, but if you are vulnerable to the run then you are still vulnerable and are still going to lose games. Case in point Buffalo Buffalo's run D was so horrible last year that teams didn't have to pass on us, and some teams ran up the score so quickly on us they just sat back and ate up the clock. We were rated #31 in run D We have solid DB's and Solid DL IMO, what we didn't have was Solid LB's and a D scheme that worked consistently... IMO the teams that are balanced and capable of generating some consistent pressure, have decent DB's with an ALL-Pro mixed in and can stop the run which requires a stout DL and LB core are the ones that went far. That thought is basically as obvious as it gets. if you go heavy on the DB you are probably getting burned on the run game, if you go heavy on the DL or relying heavy on the blitz you expose the DB's and then other teams eventually break a long play or 3 I still stand by the old saying that the game is won and loss in the trenches my thoughts were a little scattered and I am still digesting your thoughts
  3. Not a thing different That is a tough thing to do when every single establishment is a place to get Alcohol. So many people don't grasp how tough it can be Stay strong, 1 day at a time, Be honest with loved ones, I wish you well... Nothing worse then being a slave to something... been there myself
  4. Not at all. Once they traded back and offset the risk I was perfectly OK with whomever they chose to be QB. All I wanted was for them to offset the risk some in this years QB class. Why not go with the guy with the most upside. To be honest I've enjoyed our last 4 drafts. Hindsight 20/20 will always reveal a woulda coulda shoulda, but overall we're are without a doubt drafting better then decade before IMO
  5. I sure hope so !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. I think Nix and Company will always grab an OL, but drafting an OL in the 3rd and 4th will probably mean that OL will need a year of seasoning and depth play just like the guys we have on the roster. We grabbed Zebrie Sanders in the 5th last year, and he has a year under his belt, Maybe he is ready this year ? ALSO our Quick Tempo WCO is going to see lots of quick passes this year, so not much will have changed in that department. Fitz had time to throw the ball deep often last season he just had bad accuracy and got pigeon holed into the shorter quicker routes that D's got good at jumping on
  7. keep in mind the Bills brass most likely fills him with smokescreen material to release. He works for the Bills therefore he does the Bills bidding when called upon, and they are not going to leak the facts to him to release, that would just be counter productive for the organization. I always laugh at people expectations of Chris Brown. he has to serve his bosses just like you and me if he values his job.
  8. You don't know what is really on the roster because the Bills have quietly brought in solid OL and have kept a few on the practice roster for grooming Colin Brown and Snow looked decent in their 1st real action last year, Sanders will get a chance, and there are plenty of other player son our roster that will be just as or more ready to step in then any 2nd rd or ;later OL we could grab
  9. Can he run a full WR route tree. He is strong enough to beat any jam by CB. Basically he has the intangibles, can he get better at it. If he doesn't make it as a WR he'll probably be special teams depth players. He put up good numbers at the combine 2nd fastest that year out of all TE and WR's http://www.nfl.com/combine/top-performers#year=2010&workout=FORTY_YARD_DASH&position=WR-TE he was 4th in bench press 24 reps 1st in vertical jump, 2nd in broad jump. A little slower n the cone drills and shuttles
  10. I don't see Dallas being a big trade partner because they only have 6 picks and a few needs. Giving up thier 2nd rd pick woudl only leave them 5 picks and 2 in the top 100. Minnesota wil make a move IMO, they need to jump in front of St Louis for choice WR's and they have to sell picks they have 11 picks in this draft. St Louis Might want tot trade up to ensure they get their choice of WR Cincy has 2 2nd rd picks so I could see them possibly being interested in a move San Fran is too far back IMO. We don't want to ove all the way back to #31
  11. meh.. I don't think it's as bad as your color coded graphics make it look. Petitine will make a difference. Still potentnial for all the young players to click and get it.. Still options in FA, still have money to spemd. Still have the draft. Lets revisit this in Early May
  12. please don't ruin my past time.
  13. 160 I'm thinking a pass interference or 2 is in there
  14. I remember weeks upon weeks of Cowher speculation and that Cowher eventually recommended Chan to the Bills IMO it wouldn't of mattered if we hired Smith, Reid or Marrone, they all have something that certain types would gripe and complain about. All I ever do is renew my optimism every off-season, and even a little more so when we make big changes
  15. Does PFF or anyone do the same type of analysis on College prospects ? I assume PFF does not
  16. Dallas seems to be eating itself.. I find the Tweet by the Cowboys to be very sad... classless, and something an overly opinionated loser would do
  17. fact is for all we know we will be doing this again in 3 years.. or not. there is no way to tell and the only approach is to be optimistic and wait for the results like we've done 20 times before.
  18. actually I believe cutting him NOW saves us from paying the roster bonus and offseason workout bonus so it would be more then .5 mil.. It would be more like 3 mil, leaving us with 6- 7 million dead cap..
  19. I laugh at PSL's seriously who is stupid enough to pony up $20K - $100K just for the opportunity to buy season tickets each year for 20 - 30 years..
  20. If people refuse to purchase a PSL then they won't be able to implement them. What is comes down to is those who are weak sauce and cave into the non sense. No reason for PSL's and as long as people refuse to pay them they will go away.. Ticket prices themselves will go higher, but screw PSL's
  21. PSL's are a complete joke. I was laughing my ass off when I heard teams were doing this, I laughed even harder at the dumbasses that bought into it. A PSL means paying a fee up front for the mere right to buy season tickets each year you own the license, and if you don't buy the season ticket you forfeit your PSL How seriously stupid would anyone have to believe to sign up for such a rip off Raise your hand if you will be stupid enough to purchase a PSL..
  22. that usually happens with a real bad defense. What it means is the Jags D was on the feild a whole lot more then the offense. Poz is good but more tackles is a very deceptive stat In fat it looks like an average of 5 minutes more per game on D http://www.nfl.com/t...istics?team=jac
