I hate the Chiefs more than I ever hated the Pats. The Bills were not good enough to make me care all that much about what the Pats were doing. It was like they were playing in another league.

Here's NFL.com's immediate post-draft reaction to the Mahomes pick. The Bills didn't pass on a sure thing like Joe Burrow. They passed on a risky gunslinger from an air raid offense. That risk sure as heck worked out for the Chiefs, but it was a risk. BTW, why the panic around here today? I knew as soon as they beat the Bills that the Chiefs were winning it all. There was no way that Baltimore could beat them wtih playoff Lamar and the 49ers should have lost to both the Packers and Lions. I mean, Brock Purdy didn't complete a pass in the third quarter (an exaggeration, but it felt like that) and the Niners still almost won.

Its Pretty Obvious why the Chiefs win every year

Folks, you want to get concerned? The Bengals will play a 4th place schedule next year. And they're running it back with a (presumably) healthy Joe Burrow. I know that we struggle to beat KC in the playoffs, but the Bills don't even compete with the Joe Burrow Bengals. They Chiefs took CEH and Skyy Moore with high draft picks. Every GM has busts. -
And I'm sure, on a personal level, that hurts him a lot. I know where it comes from. I used to know a former prosecutor in a small town in Utah. He told me that they had a huge meth problem but no problems with teenage drinking. He said that kids figure that if hard drugs and beer are the same level of sin, they might as well go down swinging.

I really want to make a bunch of jokes about Andy Reid being a great FB coach but a failed Morman father, but I probably shouldn't.

Luckiest team in the league.

Because you can run on the Chiefs and the 49ers have the best RB in football?

My son is bringing his girlfriend and friends home from college for the game. I’m making wings and getting two Costco pizzas. The game will be on but I’ll be cooking.

And look at the impact the invention of the telegraph has had on the climate. It’s unreal! -
There is nothing like dead cap in the NBA.

Remember, at least one of the top guys will be a bust and someone taken in the 4-6 round will end up being better than all but 2 or 3 of these “can’t-miss” WRs in this “deep” class. At least one of these college superstars will turn out to not be able to separate or make catches in tight windows and another one will end up having a really bad attitude and/or work ethic. For every Justin Jefferson there is a Jalen Reagor and a Henry Ruggs. It’s just the way it goes.

A lot of cool and great things posted here, but I keep coming back to this. Stevie had just gotten full create control and he was exploring new instruments. But the soul still flowed. Amazing stuff in retrospect.

Bills to add Ronald Curry as quarterbacks coach (updated)

People want to see Josh get screamed at on the sidelines every time he makes a mistake. They want this because the team won't let them do it. It's like "Josh Allen, that INT that you just threw ruined my entire Sunday! Why is no one letting him know that!!!!" -

McDermott did take over at halftime of the Vonte Davis retirement game. -
That must be from last year because otherwise, I don't know what either team is going to do with those 2023 picks.

Everyone talking about "moving on" needs to read this: https://www.spotrac.com/news/understanding-nfl-dead-cap-1781/ Then they need to take a look at this: https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/stefon-diggs-16872/ The NFL salary cap is designed to really discourage teams from releasing highly-paid under-performing players. Hence the problems that the Bills find themselves with Diggs and Von Miller.

Joe Burrow said that the window in Cincinnati is open for his entire career. Nobody questions that. Is that not true for Josh too?
-
The "lumps" would be mostly in 2025, so it would be two lost years of huge dead cap hits. This only multiplies if you cut Von Miller. We are stuck with both, unless you want to waste two years of Josh Allen's prime to reset the cap.
