It was a hit piece and seems personal. Dunne has a history of working at the Buffalo News and at B/R as a Bills beat writer. He even co-hosed a summer 2019 episode of One Bills Live. Then he left that the go out on his own, selling stories on Substack. The Bills have a policy of not issuing press credentials to "new media" outlets so Dunne lost his access to the team that he used to cover. Hence him spending probably months gathering interviews to take down McDermott. It's personal, as it was for every player and coach that he interviewed. He also did this to Aaron Rodgers a few years ago, FWIW.

How have the Bills been after their Bye Week?

Yeah, the league HATES us /s -
He could have used D-Day or making a Hollywood movie. All of the horrible things that have happened in human history took planning and coordination. The Nazis kept meticulous records and ran their evil enterprise with machine-like precision. Doesn't mean that you should use it as a positive example of teamwork making the dream work.

17. Boogie Basham 18. Roger Saffold 19. Duke Williams 20. Duke Johnson (signed and never got a shot off the PS) 21. Star 22. Vernon Butler 23. Mario Addison 24. Jerry Hughes 25. Matt Breida That seems like a good guess. But some of the players might go back a bit further. How about some of the less stinging stuff coming from a guy like Kyle Williams? Maybe Edmonds?

I don't know about that. You mentioned in another thread that you're an Isles fan so you may not be aware of this, but I remember back when he first bought the Sabres, Pegula got into it with Bucky Gleason. It got personal, with Gleason having his media access removed because he wrote stories critical of the way that the team was being run. At that time, Gleason was the main beat writer for the only local newspaper. Pegula doesn't like the press putting him under a microscope. He's too used to being surrounded by yes men. BTW, Pegula used all of his local influence to get Gleason blackballed from Buffalo sports media. Bucky is now a real estate agent.

This story feels like a personal grudge that Dunne released at the worst time to inflict maximum possible damage. BTW, after this, Pegula will never fire McDermott. He simply wouldn't give Dunne the satisfaction. It seems to be personal for both of them, and we all have to suffer the consequences. For those of you reading all of this with satisfaction, because you've been proven right on the Internet, I hope that you enjoy a return to being a dysfunctional organization that makes players cry after being drafted. Between Von Miller and this story, this has been one of the worst weeks in Buffalo Bills history and they didn't even play a game.

This bit from Jeff Saturday about what he walked into in Indianapolis doesn't seem to reflect highly on Frank Reich as a head coach. It appears that he completely lost control of the organization

I think it's time to activate Fournette

We're not seeing him in practice. -
Hackett is Aaron Rodgers bait. It's how he got hired in Denver and how he got the OC job in NY. He's the Randall Cobb of coaches.

Fun fact. Brett Rypien has started 4 games in his NFL career. Two of them were against the Jets.

Bengals fans are starting to discuss what to do with Burrow when Browning leads them to a Super Bowl win. I kid you not.

I Got It - Why We Aren’t as Good as Them
Low Positive replied to Thrivefourfive's topic in The Stadium Wall
The reason that this happened is that the Bills never got the grace period of having a star QB on a rookie deal. Burrow was a star from the moment that he stepped on an NFL field, and then he had the good fortune of getting hurt so that the Bengals could draft 7th and get Chase. Now they’ve had this run, and they waited to pay Burrow until after his 4th year. Same with Mahomes, but the chickens of that contract are coming home to roost with the lack of pass catchers. With Josh, by the time he was playing at a high level it was time to pay him. That is why I want to start drafting NFL ready college stars instead of projects with traits. Take the best player from Alabama or Georgia that you can get. They’re ready to contribute now and they know how to win.
