That's not it. We can't appreciate how much fun Josh Allen is to watch because we live and die with every play. I know a lot of fans of other teams, and they tell me that the Bills are a must-watch unless their team is playing.

good comments from Bills players in this new Athletic piece

Defense got two stops to start the second half. All week I heard that we needed a few stops and a turnover. The Bills D got all of those things and still lost. -

Two words for you: Skyy Moore. Another two: Cylde Edwards-Hilaire. They miss too. Mahomes and Reed just mask those busts. -

Since this seems to be the "talk about the game" thread for the day, I'll put this here. It frustrates me that fans think in absolutes (fire everyone and trade Josh) in a game that was won on a few plays. Lets take that 3rd down screen pass before the final Bills play. Spags brought the house. This time Josh recognizes this and audibles to a screen. The screen went for 5 yards, but if Brown could have blocked Karlaftis or if Cooper breaks that shoestring tackle, it would have probably been a TD. There was no one left between Amari and the EZ. One play. These are not blowouts. Yet again, the Bills were a play or two from the SB. Maybe that's what is so frustrating. -

They were overprepared. They watched too much film, and the players and coaches were not reacting to what they were seeing in the moment. I hope this is a lesson to two young playcallers that you have to break your own tendencies in high-leverage playoff games. Spags put things on film ALL YEAR, just so he could break a tendency in that single moment. You gotta love football for things like that. -
Would you watch a "Consolation" Bowl?

Football is too violent to have games that don't mean anything. -
They are waiting until after the SB to hire Kellen Moore.

Joe Brady called plays in Carolina.

The great Howie Roseman picked Jalen Reagor 1 pick before Justin Jefferson. Brett Veach picked Clyde Edwards-Helaire in the first round and Skyy Moore in the second. They all miss some.

Von Millers name was not mention ONE TIME last night!
Low Positive replied to Returntoglory's topic in The Stadium Wall
This is going to be an unpopular opinion, but Mario Williams was worse. Paying a pass rusher that kind of money when the team doesn't have a QB and therefore no chance of winning is a waste of money from the outset. Also, signing TO and giving him the key to the city was just embarrassing. Von Miller was a swing for the fences by a contending team. It didn't work out, but I don't blame Beane for trying. -

Still cracks me up that we gave Mahomes to the Chiefs

Mahomes actually panning out as a QB from a college air raid system went against league-wide conventional wisdom at the time. It's complete revisionist history to think that he was a slam dunk -

I'm catching up with old friends. And by old friends, I mean all the negative posters who are suddenly back at TBD. I missed them so. -
If Allen asks for a new staff he should get it.

Get outta here with your logic. We've got Josh Allen trade demands to dream up! -
Do you people really think that if the Bills hadn't drafted Kaiir Elam that he would have dropped to the 4th round because Beane sucks and everyone else is so much better? Do you think that if the Bills hadn't drafted Dalton Kincaid when they did that he would have dropped to the 5th? Because that's what you're arguing if you blame Beane for misevaluating those players. No, the entire league missed on those guys. Also, the amount of people here who are now angry with Beane for not drafting Cooper DeJean is about the funniest thing I have read. When the Bills traded back into the second, this place was about to explode because everyone was sure that it was for the white corner with a background as a wrestler. People said that McDermott couldn't help himself from drafting his clone. I mean, this place was apocalyptic when they even brought DeJean in for a pre-draft visit. But now because he's been successful it is a complete whiff not drafting him. I mean, we're getting into Josh Allen draft-night thread territory with this thing.

We are currently negative 2.5 mill in cap space for 2025

He's had a good run the past few years, but the great Howie Roseman didn't hit on a single pick in the 2019 draft. Andre Dillard OT Washington State Miles Sanders †RBPenn State J. J. Arcega-Whiteside WR Stanford Shareef Miller DE Penn State Clayton Thorson QB Northwestern He also picked Jalen Reagor one pick before Justin Jefferson in 2020. -
No its not. The definition of insanity is "The condition of being insane; a state of mind that impedes the ability to think, reason, or behave in ways that are considered normal, esp. one caused by mental illness." https://www.oed.com/dictionary/insanity_n?tab=meaning_and_use#325885

They can create over 7 million in space by releasing Von Miller. That's just the start.- 136 replies

This is probably a different discussion that should be had at a later date in another thread, but I think there are almost two drafts every year. The first one is the top two rounds, where a league-wide consensus is formed. Everyone knows the players that are getting drafted in the first two rounds. It's just the order in which they are taken that's up for debate. Mock drafts are shockingly accurate at getting the players who will be picked in the first two rounds, just not the order. My point is that if the Bills had not taken, Elam, Kincaid, and Coleman, some other team would have taken them within a few picks. After the second round, there is no such consensus and that's where scouts make their money. The Bills drafted Elam because the league-wide consensus was that he was the final first-round CB on the board. The Bills drafted Benford because they have a good scouting staff.

What's really nice about losing is seeing some old friends back on the board.

Washington got here by getting Takeaways and their season will end due to turnovers. -

They didn't trade him. He was a FA.
