  1. I said this upthread, but I'll say it again. His wins in that stretch were: At Jacksonville in an OT game when the Jags lost Lawrance. Home against the Minshew-led Colts wth no JT. Home against the Vikings in an OT game. The Vikings were QBed by Nick Mullens, who was their third QB behind Cozens and Josh Dobbs. Home against the Browns in a meaningless week 17 game where the playoff-bound Browns sat everyone. He played 7 games in 2023, and threw 7 INTs. Last week, he threw 3 INTs in a little more than half a game. To be honest, I think the picks are the reason no one traded for him. Another thing. No one is talking about Browning's comeback, which was aided by a soft AF DPI on rookie Travis Hunter BTW, if Bills fans wet dream WR Brian Thomas Jr. could catch the damn ball EDIT: Here's Dave Portnoy ranting about the DPI call with video of the play. This was 4th and long on the Bengals last drive:
  2. This, more than anything, tells you what Lions players think of Ben Johnson
  3. That run against SF in the snow last year is up there.
  4. Well, we have only played two games and one of them certainly fits that description.
  5. He’s just predicting the mid-season lull that most teams have.
  6. I don't think overconfidence among fans or the points spread has any effect on the team's attitude. The Bills know they almost lost to them at home last year and will take them seriously. People are just having a little fun, and I'm happy to see Bills fans confident in their team.
  7. I don't care who wins. I just need Herbert and McConkey to get a combined 13 more fantasy points before this game is over.
  8. He sounded sick during the Tennessee-Georgia game.
  9. Chargers don't get home games.
  10. You were probably counting that money in the first quarter.
  11. And because he was a flashy rookie, they will have to pay him $65 million per year.
  12. I said he was wise, but in a Yogi Berra "wherever you go, there you are" sort of way.
  13. As that wise philosopher of football once said, "to win games, you have to not lose games."
  14. So far it looks like the Colts are the surprise team and the best team in the AFC South, but I'm old enough to remember when the Saints were the talk of the league for the first two weeks last year.
  15. And he played through a torn labrum in his non-throwing shoulder and was rewarded for that by being traded away.
  16. Most teams are losing players too. The Bucs, for instance, are down both starting OTs as I type this and just lost an edge rusher. The Seahawks played this week without both S Nick Emmanwori and CB Devin Witherspoon. Their fans have pages of discsusion about these injuries, but I bet most here didn't know anything about them. We just don't notice other teams' injuries unless they are QBs or high-profile stars so it feels like we are the only team with guys out.
  17. Bucky Irving is a strong runner.
  18. They are really calling OPI (and offensive Offside) a lot more this year.
  19. Now that was one heck of a catch. I feel like I'm on an island with this, but I'm starting to dislike CJ Stroud.
  20. If this had to happen, now is not a terrible time. We should be able to beat the Fins and Saints without him, so that gives him three weeks.
  21. FYI. This is the "Angry Jets Fans" video. The one that you wanna watch.
  22. Just don't fall for the pre-snap eye candy and it's a pretty simple one-read offense.
  23. You know what they call three 4-yard runs? That was after the rest of the country had been switched to other games and all of NY had turned off their TV. They got goofy because few people were watching. Baseball announcers do it all the time after long rain delays.
  24. Also, the position has gotten harder to play as offenses have gotten more complex. Elam might have been good 20 years ago.
