  1. Exactly. In an upcapped league with a rich owner, there is no such thing as opportunity cost.
  2. Remember, there are 31 other teams that could sign him. Some of them can offer more money and more playing time.
  3. The Pats have released a lot of good players. But a team with a new coach who is trying to change a culture will do that.
  4. We didn't get to see any semblance of what this team will look like in the preseason, so we have no idea what we'll see in a little over a week. Couple that with the fact that a good portion of Bills Mafia has been waiting for the team to return to its natural state since the team got good in 2020, and you get rampant negativity.
  5. There are 32 teams in the NFL. 30 of them were not involved in this trade. For some reason, this thread is talking about this like there are only 3 teams in the league but the Bills were not alone in not doing this. If we take out the other three teams in the NFC East, 27 teams either couldn't or wouldn't make this deal because anyone could have beaten the compensation that GB sent back to Dallas just by adding a 3rd.
  6. We're going to end up with more pages on this trade than the Packers and Cowboys boards.
  7. After that prep, they owe us all something.
  8. Michael Jackson was Propofol, which is the same stuff they give you when you get a colonoscopy.
  9. One thing to say he's not worth 47 million dollars. It's another thing to say that.
  10. Why should I have to rationalize it as a Bills fan? It has nothing to do with us.
  11. You just make him the highest-paid non-QB in the league. It wasn't rocket surgery.
  12. No team would make that trade without an extension in hand, so if I had to guess, the trade market was limited to teams that could and would make him the highest-paid non-QB. That list included a bunch of scrub teams like NE with GB being the only contending team. Parsons did hold some cards and probably made the choice.
  13. Because he waited until now to make the trade, when he could have gotten SO much more in March. Also, he got into a pissing match with an agent and decided that it was worth more to him to win the PR battle than to back down and sign his team's best player. He cares more about his reputation in the press than he does winning football games and he made his team worse one week before the season.
  14. We don't get a shiny new toy on season's eve. Sorry.
  15. He already signed a one-year extension for this year.
  16. Agreed. Miles Garrett is one of, if not the, pass rushers in the NFL. He played in all 17 games last year and had 14 sacks. A great year by any measure. The Browns won 3 games. But I would be super excited if I was a Packers fan.
  17. He now makes more in AAV than Mahomes.
  18. I think half of you guys want them to play in cargo shorts, tucked-in Hawaiian shirts, and a pair of crisp white New Balance cross-trainers.
  19. Imagine Jordan Phillips running a go route. I would pay to see that.
  20. We didn't know this until about 15 minutes after you posted this, but Buechele is signed to the PS. There was no way that the Bills would carry three QBs on the 53.
  21. Let's see if we can get 5 pages out of Levi Wallace's trip to town for lunch.
  22. Because what Mike Greenburg and Steven A Smith say keeps Brandon Beane up at night.
  23. Zappe too. Remember when he was the savior of the Pats?
  24. In all seriousness, this is probably the end of the NFL dream for him.
  25. There has been no indication that Hairston and/or White definitely won't be playing in two weeks.
