  1. All NFL teams have a 53-man roster with 48 players active on game days. Most teams have the same guys, more of less, inactive every week. Chiefs, for example, have an OL and DE that have been inactive for every game this season. This is a non-story.
  2. I live in Cincinnati. They’re in a full panic.
  3. Watching that game actually explains what happened. Not excuses, but explains. Remember, the Bills had an earlier lead late in the fourth. After that, the Bills played tough and pressed them. And Tyreek got lose for that long TD. The soft coverage during 13 seconds was a response to that. Again, not an excuse but rather an explanation. The Chiefs also had all 3 TOs. 13 seconds is not really 13 seconds if a team has all the TOs.
  4. You’re probably right. All I know is they Deshaun keeps getting medically cleared and not playing.
  5. It’s the same injury that Deshaun Watson has missed three games with.
  6. Sports officiating has a lot of judgement calls. But ball and strikes in baseball should be automated. Line calls in tennis are now to no i’ll effect. Maybe false start/Offside could be automated, but if AI was used to call offensive holding QBs would be killed.
  7. That Pats game was a gut punch for everyone. There were very few Bucs fans there. They just all happened to be in the section that we were in.
  8. I don’t think that they were going to do any QB sneaks after Josh aggravated his shoulder injury.
  9. In all seriousness, the Bucs have now lost 3 in a row. and now stand 1.5 games back in the NFC South. If the Falcons beat the Titans on Sunday, they’ll be effectively three games back because the Falcons hold the tie break. I don’t think that they are taking any positives from the close loss.
  10. They don’t usually call PI on hail Mary passes because it is usually happening both ways. That is, of course, unless Tom Brady is the QB throwing the ball.
  11. You think Bengals fans were rooting for the Bills to win?
  12. Mine does too. That was my first game in Buffalo since 1989 and there used to be nothing like that. It was wild.
  13. The drunk Bucs fan in a crazy pimp outfit sitting next to me in Section 108 row 1 agrees with you. He started screaming “I hate you Todd Boles” right up until the moment that it worked. BTW, just how many times are the Bills going to tip a pass just to have it fall into a receiver’s hand?
  14. How sweet is it going to be to watch the games on Sunday with a Bills win already in the bank?
  15. Bucs fan that was standing next to me thought he was Offside Being at the game (my first Bills home game since 1989), the most surprising thing was the amount of mixed Bills/Bucs marriages and relationships that there are. Remember when Josh got that Jets player to dive over the line?
  16. The kid next to me started crying because Mike Evans wouldn’t acknowledge him.
  17. This place is teeming with Bucs fans of all people. Former Pats fans?
  18. Bout ready to get in the car to start the drive to Buffalo. GO BILLS!!!
  19. If this meeting happened, it wasn’t a usual players-only meeting. They usually are b-word sessions to clear the air on teams with interpersonal conflicts. This was a pep-talk by the captains to get everyone focused on the upcoming games and not the injuries. It’s what captains are supposed to do.
  20. Or the D-Backs and the Rangers in the WS. Sometimes the unexpected is worse than the expected.
  21. I agree with you, and he’s probably right here. I listen to him too because he’s not a dumbass like Skip. But he, like all sports talkers, is loathe to come off his takes. It’s just the nature of the business. I mean Skip Baylee’s has Tebow in the HoF and LeBron as the worst player in NBA history and no amount of evidence can persuade him. Also, I love that Francis Bacon identified this in the 17th century. Finally, I managed to raise two Bills fans in Finneytown and I’m taking my 20 year old son up to Highmark tomorrow night to get him baptized into the Bills Mafia. Hammers Lot here we come! My 18 year old daughter cried when we lost to the Pats on Sunday That’s when I knew that she was all in too.
  22. Hurts is a workout warrior and squats as much as a bodybuilder.
  23. It’s that third one that gets me. You have to be able to scheme around defensive injuries. The Pats and Giants defenses are also MASH units and they played us just fine. Figure it out McD!
