  1. This was actually illegal in the good ole days when men were men. https://www.latimes.com/sports/story/2022-12-30/pushing-the-pile-nfl-rule-officiating
  2. And the QB is by definition leading with his head.
  3. Yeah he is. But the Bengals offense goes dormant for entire halves, which is surprising for a unit with that much talent. For example, they scored 14 on their first two drives against the Seahawks at home and then scored 3 the rest of the way. They do this a lot. And their D is not quite as good this year due to losses in the secondary in FA. One strength was their Safeties and they lost both. I’m not saying that the Bills beat them, but they are a weaker team this year and barring a Lamar injury they won’t win their division. And this is the last year of the party because one of Higgins and Chase will have to go (Higgins). I know what we saw in January. But living here I watch them every week. Baltimore is better this year. Thankfully we don’t have to play them.
  4. After how Purdy looked for the past two games, I’m not sure that this mattersZ CMC being out would be a much bigger deal.
  5. I just want Darnold to light it up. I love a good QB controversy.
  6. People here in Cincinnati hate Zac Taylor like we hate Dorsey and McDermott. Combined. No creativity in the offense. He relies too much on Burrow and Chase and his scheme is too vanilla.
  7. he may be correct here, but Cowherd sets narratives and seeks all else to confirm his narratives. Here is my favorite quote that explains so much. “The human understanding, when it has once adopted an opinion draws all things … to support and agree with it. And though there be a greater number and weight of instances to be found on the other side, yet these it either neglects and despises or … sets aside and rejects in order that by this great and pernicious predetermination, the authority of its former conclusions may remain inviolate”. (Francis Bacon 1602).
  8. Who are you to talk? You shot a guy and got away with it.
  9. Me too. I was surprised to see him on the report.
  10. Just checked the Fins injury report. It says it's a hip injury. Also, Jalen Ramsay is back at practice, albeit limited. https://www.miamidolphins.com/team/injury-report/
  11. Replacement what?
  12. They actually attacked it well in the second half.
  13. Teams trade for other teams' draft busts all the time, thinking they can turn them around. It hasn't been that long and they still have their draft grades on him.
  14. They might be trading him. NHL and NBA teams hold guys out all the time right before they're traded.
  15. Those are facts, but I feel like I cannot criticize other teams right now. Another fact is that the Bengals' only convincing win this year was against the Arizona Cardinals. But my favorite team just lost to the Pats, so glass houses and all...
  16. That sounds like it may be a while. And Tua knows what it's like to play without Tyreek. He did it for 3 years.
  17. I guess we'll see if the Niners offense is actually plug-and-play at the QB position.
  18. The only difference is aesthetics.
  19. Watson out again this Sunday https://www.si.com/nfl/2023/10/25/browns-start-pj-walker-against-seahawks-deshaun-watson-ruled-out
  20. Simmons just signed a HUGE contract extension. He's as tradable as Von.
  21. I have to correct myself here. He played for a series and got pulled for a concussion evaluation. It was after he was cleared that Sefanski pulled him because he thought that Watson was "guarding" his shoulder. I could have let the funnier story stand, but I really don't like spreading false information.
  22. I don't know why someone didn't post this on here, but here is what he actually said. Anybody who knows anything about mindfulness training knows what he's talking about. It's not letting your mind race and being in the moment and in control. And here is a gut punch for all of you getting ready to type "Tom Brady" didn't need that hippy crap:
  23. The most recent article on this that I can find is from 2018 when 92% of teams deferred upon winning the toss. What I didn't remember is that prior to 2008, the team that got the first-half kickoff also got the second-half kickoff. Then, everyone took the ball of course. https://www.rookieroad.com/football/glossary-of-terms/defer/
  24. The team enabled him and then threw him under the bus when it suited them.
