My god, do you hear that? It’s Gabe Davis’ music!

I edited my post to include a picture of him from camp. It's him. I thought that it was important to get TBD to stop playing Internet Orthopedist by blaming Kincaid for playing golf while injured. -

Well that would be Gosnell. He's got that hair AND the Amish beard. -

Speaking of former Steeler headcase WRs, Dionte Johnson is out there as a FA. He would cost nothing. Just a couple of years ago, he was one of the best young WR in the league.

The protection was incorrectly called before the snap. I've watched that play 20 times. They showed an all-out blitz. And at the snap, all 7 came. But two guys that were on the 5-man front dropped into coverage, including that guy covering Ty Johnson to Josh's right. That was Josh's hot route and his first read at the snap. It's also why Spencer Brown is standing there with nothing to do. Then three Bills OL are blocking two Falcons, leaving Dawkins on an island out wide to Josh's right. Two free rushers came up the gap. It was a total cluster of a protection call.

Yep. Two first downs and the offense is in a good kicker's FG range. Go all the way back to the OLD rules and put touchbacks at the 20. Make teams earn points. Also, opening kick-offs have lost all their ceremonial drama with a bunch of dudes standing still.

Offensive holding needs to be five yards. Ten yards is too much for a penalty that occurs on pretty much every snap, and the refs can call at any time.

Plausible X/#1 receiver trade candidates — are there any?
Low Positive replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
In my opinion, there won't be significant moves until after Sunday's game, at the earliest. With 7 wildcard spots, it takes longer for teams to consider themselves out of the race and thereby sellers. The only teams that are probably looking towards next year at this point are the Jets, Dolphins, and Browns, and two of those teams wold demand a MASSIVE overpay from the Bills. If the Saints win this Sunday at Chicago, they may decide to stay the course and attempt to compete. They've been in every game, and they haven't even played a single division game. Also, the Steelers and Pats are currently also in the WR market, and both of them have MUCH better cap situations than the Bills. The Steelers are also very much in "win now" mode with one year of Aaron Rodgers. And just in case no one is paying attention, they are currently the one seed in the AFC and have a very winnible game in Cincinnati tonight. I expect Waddle to be a Steeler any day now. And if Bills fans want Olave or Shaheed, we all need to be Bears fans this week. -

Gabe is still on the practice squad IR. We have no idea what his status is. -
There is a GIANT assumption that Josh Allen wanted another #1 WR after Diggs was traded, but the evil Beane and McClappy just wouldn’t give it to him. By all indications, he was, and still is, fully on board with the WR by committee approach in that is what he has to do to not deal with a diva in the locker room. Their fear of a giant personality and head case is keeping this team from success, and it’s a huge weakness that is present in the organization from ownership down to star QB.

I saw a video on Youtube yesterday that Josh Allen had already been traded to the Cowboys. It’s so easy to make clickbait BS with AI. -
I think Josh Allen himself was fully on board with the lack of a #1. The Diggs drama left a scar. We just watch them play for three hours a week. They have to practically live with the dude for 6 months. Not only that, but #1 WR demand the ball even if they are not open. The it all worked out last, with the offense humming and the Bills being inches away from the Super Bowl. I wonder if he has changed his opinion.

Of course, that's true. But this is year 8. Josh should be better at pre-snap reads by now. It's his weakest aspect as a QB. It's also how Tom Brady won 7 Super Bowls. In this case, it wasn't that he got sacked. That happens. It's that the protection call was laughably bad. They only rushed 5 and had two completely free rushers. I don't feel like posting a video, but I think this still sums it up nicely. Look at Brown standing there blocking nobody with two free rushers closing hard.

I've watched two plays on the all-22. I just can't force myself to look at more yet, but I'll get there. One was to see that Groot was, indeed, offside on the first play. He was, and so was Walker. The other was the sack of Josh on the play after McGovern got hurt. It was 3-8. What I saw was this: Pre-snap, the Falcons were showing blitz with 5 on the line and two just behind it. Josh came up to the line, pointing at guys. He didn't expect them to bring everyone so he was calling out the blitzers. They brought all 7 at the snap, but Ebiketie peels off the line to cover Johnson coming out of the backfield. He was probably the hot route. Ellis also drops into coverage. The Bills were running that same mesh route over the middle that they always run. What this meant is that Spencer Brown, who was blocking Ebiketie, is standing there like an idiot blocking nobody and the Falcons had 5 rushers on 4 blockers. Cybo and Anderson double-teamed Orhorhoro while Edwards took Jalon Walker. Divine Deablo ran right around the line while Dawkins was engaged with James Pearce out wide. CB Dee Alford also came on a blitz. That is two free rushers in Josh's face coming pretty much straight up the middle. It was a busted protection call. Shakir was wide open to Josh's left, but it didn't matter. With two free rushers, he couldn't see him. Josh lost that rep pre-snap with a poor protection call and Joe Brady had nothing to with it. The Bills punt, and two plays later, Robinson is running 81 yards for the TD.

I know you're joking, but McDermott would have another NFL job about 5 minutes after he cleaned out his OBD office. The Raiders, Jets, Dolphins, Browns, and Panthers would be ringing non-stop, begging him to take the job.
