  1. I hate John Hussy voice, even when he's calling PI on the Cowboys.
  2. Because there is no moderator in this thread today, we've now said exactly that about every player who has made a play today in the 1:00 window.
  3. Snoop Huntley, who is now in the game, is probably a better choice. That offense is designed around a mobile QB.
  4. These threads are miserable without moderation.
  5. Sure, but he didn't work in NE and they cut bait quickly. It's interesting what they did. It's now clear that last year was a cap-reset year to undo the mistakes Belichick made in his post-Brady tenure. Then they brought in the coach they were always going to hire and let him have all that cap space to play with.
  6. Not only that, but they missed on a first-round QB and recovered from that mistake very quickly. That doesn't usually happen.
  7. I mean, the Pats OL was the only line that didn't hold for 20 years, and then they suddenly starting holding in 2020. In an uncertain world, it's nice that something is back to normal.
  8. This place is lousy with Pats fans today.
  9. And that he's good in year two, allowing them to have two seasons, at minimum, of high-level play before he needs paying.
  10. I don't get that rule. The offensive player can keep fighting for yards in the pile with no risk, just as long as he got some "forward progress?"
  11. He was in the process of throwing a dart to Nacua as you were typing that.
  12. Making it as an NFL QB at that height is the exception, not the rule. Here he is standing next to Joe Flacco. People in Cleveland said it looked like Flacco brought a Make a Wish kid to camp.
  13. Mahomes, Allen, and Jackson can all throw the football. Justin Fields is actually getting worse as a passer as his career progresses. THe good news for them is that they can get out of it after this season. The headline was 2 Years, 40 million. But, like usual, the devil is in the details. All the money is deferred to next year, and they structured it so that it has easy dead cap hits in '26 and '27 if they can find someone to give them a 7th for him post 6/1/26.
  14. I'll keep bringing this up until I pass out. The Colts should, by ALL rights, have two losses. They lost to the Broncos, but the refs pulled them back from the dead with a yellow hankie after they missed the winning FG and the clock struck zero. They called the rarely-called "leverage," which is a personal foul, and turned a loss into a chipshot FG win.
  15. Trying to keep a game close for an international audience?
  16. Yeah, a false start in the first half.
  17. Sean Payton in Denver = Jimmy Johnson in Miami = Bill Parcells in Dallas
  18. The Jets won't trade Wilson or Sauce. They paid both of them this offseason and made them cornerstones of a rebuild. They are more likely to Frank Reich (fired befroe the end of the first year) Glenn before doing that.
  19. Jets get the ball to start the second half, if I recall the beginning of the game correctly. That could explain what Glenn did at the end of the half.
  20. Good analogy. Justin got lambasted for throwing picks in Chicago, so he'll only throw to wide-open guys. The kid got screamed at by his coach and his dad for striking out by swinging at pitches in the dirt, so he avoids getting screamed at by not swinging.
  21. Well, I don't know where Aaron Glenn keeps his challenge flags, but we know didn't pull it from his sock like Belichick.
  22. It really shortens the field. Teams have points once they cross the 45. Heck, Dallas has an almost guaranteed 3 points once they reach midfield.
