  1. TO came to Buffalo because it was clear to him and Drew Rosenhaus that he wasn't going to get any other offers (despite the fact that he was signed fairly soon after getting cut by Dallas). If someone else shows an interest this time, he's gone. In fact, he may still be gone depending on how Nix and Gailey feel about him.
  2. If he takes us to the promised land, I'll call him whatever the hell he wants us to call him.
  3. Putting aside the irony of the fact that the ad touts his mother's choice, there's no chance in hell that CBS runs this ad during the Super Bowl
  4. Amen. Anyone who became a Bills fan thinking that it would always be good times had no business ever being a Bills fan.
  5. He won 80 regular season games in 9 years. To his credit, he didn't add "and mathematical genius" to his list of self-proclaimed accomplishments.
  6. The fact that he felt the need to recite his resume like that is exactly the reason why he never got a call.
  7. +1 The other thing to remember is that the current regime in GB was able to evaluate Aaron Rodgers based entirely on his performance in practice and during pre-season games, and what they saw gave them enough confidence to take a huge gamble by getting rid of Favre and handing the keys to Rodgers. Had they been wrong, Ted Thompson and Mike McCarthy would have been run out of town. Maybe Brohm never got a chance to play with GB, but I wouldn't put a lot of faith in the idea that they whiffed on the guy.
  8. That's kind of a problem.
  9. If anything, we'll have the opposite problem in that a few of the assistants will be people who have been in the league forever, with some having "retired" at least once before.
  10. Doubt it's been decided yet. Unfortunately, this isn't like Shanahan going to the Redskins, where you can be pretty sure that he has been watching film on that team for months. Gailey really is just getting up to speed, and since all of the assistants are long gone, he's going to have to do it himself to start.
  11. Nope. The only thing I would disagree with is your use of the word "fan." Someone who is a real fan sticks through the good times and the bad times -- no matter how long or frustrating the latter may be. And anyone who became a Bills fan thinking that things would always be good shouldn't have ever been a fan at all.
  12. It would be great, but it's not going to happen. I'm seeing Morgan as the guy whose stock rises dramatically between now and April. My guess is that he doesn't last beyond the fifth pick.
  13. Can't say that I disagree with any of those points.
  14. No, it's called being a fan. The real question is, are you optimistic for next year? Personally, I can't answer "yes" on that one.
  15. Don't forget Jim Zorn.
  16. Bingo. I don't care that his offensive doesn't have a name, but the way that he's proud of the fact makes him sound incoherent.
  17. No offensive coordinator.
  18. tried or tired? I'm guessing "both."
  19. Am I watching the Beverly Hillbillies or an NFL press conference? And no, I'm not comparing Orchard Park to Beverly Hills.
  20. Please tell me this is all a joke -- Nix included.
  21. For the win . . .
  22. Wasn't Gailey his own OC in Dallas?
  23. Where's the "I'd rather have Kay Stephenson" option?
  24. Isn't this thread supposed to be about coordinators?
