Intermittent Exlosive Disorder has been listed in the DSM (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual from Amercian Psychiatric Association)forquite some time, it is not anything new. Applying it to cases of "Road Rage" may be a new thing, however. For many years I worked with disabled adults, many of them had little , ifany control over thierbehavior. they also had very poor coping skills, and lacked the ability to appropriately express frustration and anger. they were often given this diagnosis. This diagnosis was often used because many government and private insurance programs require a formal diagnosis before payemnet will be made for traetment, this diagnosis is often used for thjose people that don't meet the criteria for other mental disorders that are more "precise".

So Vicent D'Onofrio's talent can offset Chris Noth's obvious lackof acting ability. If you are eally hung up on Noth I suggest you watch re-runs of Sex in the City -

I'e been to a Tyson's hog plant, I'll second what you said. The place is immaculate, far cleaner than any other manufacturing plant I have ever been in, including a Nestles Toll House Cookie dough plant. The smell outside the hog plant was terrible, but strangelyy enough there was very odor inside. -

Favorite Depressing Movie

I'll nomintae another "requieum" movie...."Requieum for a Heavyweight" as a fairly depressing movie. Many boxing movies are except for the "Rocky" farces. I'll also nominate Das Boot as a somewhat downbeat movie, especially the end. "Gigot" starring Jacky Cleason as a deaf mute janitor is pretty depressing also. -

I remember going to the Canadian Open (golf) about twenty years ago in Oakville. I was following the threesome (first round) that had Curtis Strange (the eventual winner) in it. He had hit a drive into the tree alongside the fairway right where I was standing. To hit the green about 175 yards away, Strange would have to place the ball through an opening in the trees about two feet square and about thirty yards out. To hit close to the pin he would have to place the ball through the upper right hand corner of the opening. Of course, his shot ends up about three feet from the pin. Luck???, naybe, but he made it look so easy, I am sure luck played a small, if any, role in the shot. These guys are just that good at what they do, and play consistently at a level we can only dream about. We just see it all the time, and as a result, it becomes commonplace until you see a shot like Connoly's. -

In my best smug tone , half-wit fashion..........my computer at work was replaced, I had saved my password anduser name so I didn't have to enter them when logging on. Unfortunately I had forgotten my password, changed my email, etc, etcsoIjust created a new accout. I didn't mean "steal" anyones user name, besides I capitalize Paradise, the original Cheeseburger doesn't, I suppose I am "smug", I imagine he is not, I actually live in Paradise (according to the local Chamber of Commerce, US Virign Islands), I am inclined to think the original Cheeseburger is some sort of Jimmy Buffet fan (which I am decidedly not). Expect more, not less "smug" tones, especially when responding to right wing talking points like those from VA Bills. -

As opposed to these fine public servants; George Bush Dick Cheney Rick Santorum Dick Armey Bob Dornan George Bush Dan Quayle Al D'Amato etc, etc, etc We could go on and on, the reality is neither party gives the electorate much of a reason to support their platforms and activities. Shame on them, and shame on us for voting them in, regardless of which side of the aisle they represent. -

Alexander Hamilton, born in Nevis, moved to St. Croix as a child (The house he lived and his counting house bulding are still standing), sent to NY at the age of 16, attended Columbia (then called Kings College) served as Washingtons aide de camp, and confidential secretary during the Revolutionary War, authored the Federalist Papers, first Secretary of the Treasury, established the First Bank of the United States, etc, etc, etc, etc. -

Even the Cliffs Notes would have to be over one hundred pages to capture the objectivist philosophy contained within a fairly detailed story. Neither Pitt nor Jolie have the acting chops needed for Taggart, Galt, or Reardon (who I would think would be as a much a major male lead as Galt, if not more so). As described in the book, Jolie is too hot to play Dagny Taggart, if anything. -
If I am not mistaken the final cost per gallon for ethanolis significantl;y higher than that of gasoline. Ethanol production is highly subsidized by the government, ethanol has a lower energy rating than gasoline (you have to burn more of it to do the same amount of work as gasoline) , the machinery used to plant, treat, and harvest corn (the main source of ethanol) all burn gasoline or diesel, the fertilizer used for corn is petroleum based, etc, etc. Ethanol is far from a "free lunch" as far as a motor fuel goes at this stage of the game, and it is certainly not ready to be used as a substitute for gasoline at this time.
