  1. 1 game left in the season. you could have a bruised thumb and end up on IR.
  2. Kyle's a pro-bowl alternate. Stroud's been to a few himself.
  3. what are the odds that Orakpo makes the pro-bowl if he was playing DE rather than pass rushing OLB? I doubt he does. Still clearly better than Maybin right now.
  4. trades for any of those guys, if even necessaary will be for a very late draft pick. Probably Jason Campbell would need the highest pick and that probably would be a 3rd rounder at most.
  5. cause we have no offense? really though there are a troubling number of really boring games in the NFL each week.
  6. who cares. their backups already lost to the jets. We've beaten the Jets. Aren't we basically playing backups ourselves anyway?
  7. OMG, every game I've seen him play (not that many but more than 2) he has looked HORRIBLE.
  8. this assumes you are counting on him to start day 1.
  9. I want him in the mix next year against a 1st or 2nd round rookie, Fitzy, and a decent FA qb. winner starts, loser is cut...unless its the rookie
  10. of all the misdirected criticism that we Bills fans dish out, the criticism of Schobel over the years has been by far the most stupid.
  11. i'd give him a 6. I was expecting a 2 or a 1. looked as good if not better than Trent has looked for most of the year. A few misses, but he never looked lost
  12. the Jags drafting Tebow would be is like a Japanese Banzai charge to save the franchise. No chance of success but you might as well die as gloriously as possible.
  13. I would take Garrard in a second
  14. this thread is ridiculous. the only fear people should be having about Brohm is that he will look completely lost when he's not being piledriven into the turf.
  15. I doubt Orakpo would have nearly as many sacks if he was playing DE instead of pass rushing OLB. Though he's still clearly way ahead of Maybin. No argument there. Doesn't Loadholt play right tackle?
  16. there are no can't miss prospects, including at tackle or along the lines. The league is now designed to the advantage of teams with great quarterbacks and they're basically only available through the draft. eventually we have to try and get one and you're only in position to take one every so often. Chances are we won't be anyway and can take a tackle.
  17. if one of the top QBs is there you take him and figure out LT the rest of the draft and/or in FA. There is simply no other opportunity to get potentially elite quarterbacks. Next year there may not be a guy worth drafting in our slot and you just kick the ball down the road forever. There are many more ways to get capable left tackles. also we need a FA QB capable of starting regardless of whether we draft a QB or not.
  18. Sorry, I understood what you meant, I was talking about how many others use the term.
  19. if the Texans let their best defensive player walk I'd eat my hat. Ryans is a beast.
  20. what do people even mean by "blowing it up"? Some people seem to think that means getting rid of everyone on the roster, which is just stupid since our team is young. I mean clearly we're going to have a new head man, and then he can pick who he wants running his scouting departments. That could include some holdovers. as for draft prep, I think they don't do that much during the season other than send some scouts to games. Everything's on film these days anyway.
  21. also it doesn't have to be a "conspiracy" that requires any kind of a shadowy plot. It's just that the refs, as league employees, know what's the better outcome for the league. It doesn't mean they can choose a winner, but they sure can guide a game in a certain direction. its just gotten to the point where, against the Pats, any big play made by the opposition (and especially smaller market teams) I'm actually surprised if there isn't a flag that wipes out the play - it's just happened so often over the past decade
  22. I saw it. I had pretty much the same angle as the ref and the only thing it looked like was that the Bills had the ball. that Welker interference was so outrageous. there was a ref 3 yards away that didn't call anything and the ref 15 yards away and behind the play throws the flag. big market teams with marketable stars will get all the breaks. Also once the game was more or less over the refs finally started calling holding on the Pats - makes it look a little more balanced on the stat sheet I guess regardless until we have a QB and a left tackle it's gonna be pretty tough to beat a team with a HOF QB who gets the calls - even if the rest of that team stinks.
  23. all golfballs everywhere are in the air. unless they are in some kind of a vacuum - i guess there are a few on the moon still
