what? the bigger concern is that Poz is a little small for an ILB in a 34. as for speed - Poz was fast enough to be a MLB in a Tampa-2, where they have to cover a ton of field. You don't need burners at ILB in a 34.

I think he can play end too. His size is ideal for the monster type end that they use in some 34s. But I guess until we have somebody else on the roster that can play nose, he's probably the guy there - with K. Williams and S. Johnson at the 5's

that's a good point. It'll be interesting to see how he measures up at the combine. I've seen 6'6, 6'8, and now 6'5 for him so who the heck knows.

our outside linebacker corps is about to hit the bricks. Ellison will be a Giant. Nic Harris? I don't know. we need a NT. Stroud, Williams, and Spencer Johnson are capable of playing end in a 34. Schobel can probably be a flex man the way Jason Taylor was in the later stages of his career. Maybin and Chris Ellis can be pass rushing OLB's. Kelsay, who knows. If he bulks up in the offseason to 280 or so he might able to play end.

Hargrove was probably my favorite player on the Bills while he was here. Too bad he screwed that up. I like Jabari as well. I don't even really dislike Greggo anymore. He was a class act in DC and got screwed over.

letting those 3 walk were all good decisions in my book. Randel El got a huge contract that he hasn't come close to living up to. Burress is incarcerated. And Porter only had a season or two left in the tank.

its a tough call. I think Bulaga is going to be sick at the next level. But its a QB league and good ones are hard to get your hands on. If you have the chance to get what you think could be a great one, you really have to take it. Not sure whether we think Bradford could be great or not, but if we do.... A team rarely has that opportunity.

if his shoulder checks out and he's the top QB in the draft, it'll be tough not to take him. The opportunity to even get the top QB in a given year is very rare. Might need to trade around to get that LT though.

I'm having a tough time thinking of any notable pro scouting decisions that the Steelers have made in the last decade. It seems they are almost wholly built through the draft - which is, of course, the proper way to do things. Does anybody that follows the Steelers closely have any insight into the kind of free agents that the Steelers have pursued in recent history? I suppose that knowing which players to re-sign is a pretty good skill in itself. It's something we've clearly lacked.

i'd say its a combo of small market, bad weather, and ancient owner. We've also kind of been pathetic this decade and burned more than a few bridges during the Donahoe era.

Schobel is probably the Bill of the decade. And by a wide margin. He's a terrific player.
