I respected the man for calling Obama a clown. He had that right. Blind squirrel but he nailed that one.

Did some traveling this week and even local newscasts in smaller towns simply parroted Obama's statements of fright about these cuts. The only hope is that Bob Woodward's recently popularity as a guy willing to tell it like it is rubs off on more "journalists".

Let's not forget why the spotlight was flashed on Jr. to begin with. He was trying to raise money to buy Obama's senate seat. Had he not been involved in that, he'd still be prancing around with the fancy watch and a fine cigar.

That is some wisdom right there but I also think that explains why so many are envious of others. People who aren't achieving what you mention in larger numbers look to the government to provide those things. Many like the path of least resistance.

It's all about fairness. Lazy and irresponsible may now be considered a disability. It would be really interesting to see the profiles of recent recipients. I know of one blatant local example of abuse of this entitlement. My guess is there are millions of others that are similar.

Yet another media report that fails to report the depth of our budget gap, who signed the sequester deal or the fact that these "cuts" are tiny fractions of our problem. Yet another article that fails to point out that this president thinks only in terms of taxing and spending and cannot grasp to thought of a growing private sector economy. Only clueless voters and an adoring media stand in the way of Obama becoming entirely irrelevant. He may get there soon even with all the unearned support he has.

Obamacare is simply another mandate by the libs to provide a free program for those at the bottom of the economic scale while all others (employers, people who are employed and of course "the rich") get to pay more. 2700+ pages of bull manure and that's really all it means. The government will pick the winners and losers and do a crappy job of administering it. It won't promote personal responsibilty and it'll be one more "benefit" to keep the downtrodden trapped for life in a socialist dependency system that will guarantee a large voting block for the party that supports it. Nobody in their right !@#$ing mind would have analyzed our health care challenges and come up with this piece of shyt legislation. All you that support Dems should be quite proud. Nobody can defend this thing. It flat out sucks.

Yes and I have employed some. Some of those people have been big rehab projects. We've tried and at the end of the day you see the reason why so many people are unsuccessful in their working careers. If often boils down to the very basics. The common threads are their inability and/or unwillingness to conquer the basics of being to work on time, being honest, being able to communicate verbally and in writing, having pride in their work and showing a willingness to learn.

I don't think raising the minimum wage saves taxpayers a nickel on programs for the poor. Many businesses can't raise prices as they operate in markets where prices are always declining, like many businesses that sell technology. Frankly I think that states should continue to set their own minimum wage as there is a big disparity in the economies and cost of living in many states and cities.

I don't think anyone knows yet who the starting QB will be on opening day.

Right now the Federal government and Illinois are "regulating" $.63 per gallon in taxes which is substantially more than the net profit the oil companies make on a gallon of gas. The Feds and states are also regulating something like 30 different blends of unleaded regular gas to appease all the environmentalists. We can't decide on a single blend or maybe 2 (summer and winter) to reduce all the refining and distribution costs? Shouldn't we cheer the oil companies for being very successful manufacturers who employ millions of people and provide all the government mandated benefits to those people?

It's the administrations plan to strangle Walmart and replace it with a government owned competitor that employs union workers. We don't need Walmart's profit motive driving down wages and raising prices to Americans who need the products they sell.

I am now in favor of free birth control and making it mandatory for idiots. I can think of no better way to spend borrowed money.

For one, free pre-school. He phrased it as "all should have ACCESS to pre-school" but we all know that "access" is the Dem code word for giving it away. As usual, Obama's grandiose plans always lack any fiscal accountability or numbers. I have to give the guy credit, he's awesome at preaching to the uninformed which is a growing part of our population. What is it about Obama's agenda and record that is good?

I'd argue it's the high schoolers that are more likely to be injured because it's a much faster harder game at that age so let them play tackle until they weigh 100 pounds. After that, touch only. We should probably outlaw kids riding in cars too. Many are injured in accidents and they can't make their own decision to go with their parents or not.

Let's add the Obama clan to the amendment and make it permanent.

What exactly is the Democrat party's solution to deficit reduction and budgeting? What effective measures are the Republicans blocking? I think it's more likely that the majority of the majority of Americans you mention don't have an informed opinion on deficit reduction and/or they don't care. They don't care because the sun rises and sets every day and the government simply borrows or prints what they need.
